AYO GUESS WHO'S GOT A NAME-BUT IT AIN'T ME THIS TIME!!!The second Robin,La Red Hood and member of the Star Sapphire Corps,Lina Todd!
I choose the name because it's both arab and latina and i wanted to give her a Talia connection🙇🏽♀️It's also a canon nickname for Selina by Holly which was a coincidence but i'm taking it as a sign of write her as a mentor to her as Robin, especially because i have Talina endgame in most of my DC verse's anyway!I'll ask one of my friend's to edit her post e and op but i wanted to get this post out asap!!

okay it’s come to my attention that absolutely NONE OF YOU know ANYTHING about how cutie marks work. let me say this simply. a cutie mark isn’t a job being assigned, it’s a special TALENT OR SKILL that the pony enjoys. Most of the time it has a directly transferable job for that skill, like if you enjoy baking and are super good at it WOW! baker. If you are really good at writing and telling stories, author. However, there are some cutie marks that could go multiple ways.
twilight sparkle has exceptional magic ability, so she became a scholar, but she could really do anything that required a good magic skill. same with rainbow dash, her weather controlling job isn’t directly linked to her cutie mark, but it does fit the bill for the job.
i was posed the question of what would a murderer pony’s cutie mark be and wouldn’t everyone know. NO. if somehow murder were to be a special skill, the cutie mark might be something like a knife or a shovel. other ponies might just assume you’re good a cooking or gardening. now with cutie marks like apple jacks, their family has a ‘green thumb’ kind of deal so obviously the cutie mark would be hereditary.
so, the reason i made this post. walter white pony’s cutie mark would NOT be blue crystals. it would be a CHEMISTRY FLASK.

people have already talked about this but there is something so depressing about like....having a female character who's suffered unimaginable trauma and now her only character trait is Strong. she's so Strong and Powerful and that means she has Agency, right? right?
and like, well, no, not in and of itself??? like, you gave her trauma, DO something with it. don't just pay it lip service but then go "and now she's okay because she's so Strong and Can Fight or whatever". what even IS strength. are people who don't survive traumatic situations automatically weak by this logic? what are we doing here

does anyone else have that one m/f ship they have extremely complicated and hard to explain feelings about
like u can enjoy it in VERY specific forms and with VERY specific characterizations but the regular shippers are like. a very mixed bag on whether they're chill or not. and the ship has really great potential but also there's so much very very straight unenjoyable content about it and it's like Man. i don't know how to feel. it can be great but it also can be boring and annoying but there's so much potential but it's so hard to find and. you know
#for me this is robinhill in the hsr fandom#they're great when you characterize them a certain way and are careful about how you write them#but like so many people make such a weird dynamic that doesn't like. work for me at all#and it's like. ship and let ship obviously but i personally have such confusion about what i feel#shipping#fandom#ummm idk what else to tag

physically go to your local library at least once. seriously.
look around. find a random book with a cover that catches your attention. read the description. read the first page. if you like the sounds of it, borrow it and take it home to read. borrow a handful of books even.
if a book loses your interest, drop it. if a book grips onto you, ride that wave.
i've struggled to read recreationally for years despite having read so much as a kid. a lot of us are frozen by the seemingly infinite choices. even when we buy books to take home, we don't read them because which book is worth reading first? we don't have to decide, we have it right here in our bookshelves, we have an eternity of never deciding.
in this past month, i have read five books, most of them i've never heard of when i spotted their cover at the library. most of them, i've ended up loving. the due date of library books maintains the ability to read a book so i can return them to the library and leave the library with more books. an even better incentive than borrowing ebooks, because i actually have to leave the house and not be a hermit.
so if you used to enjoy reading but struggle with it now, ignore the book recs you hear. go to the library, come across a book that piques your interest, and read one page after another until you either lose interest or finish the book.
then it's onto the next one.
#i love libraries but they hate me because i am actually so bad at returning my books#i live in fuck ass left of nowhere so a library trip is like. once in 2-3 months#AND I WORK NIGHT SHIFT#which makes it now like. actually impossible#it's genuinely so frustrating

hi, a lot of you need a perspective reset
the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big
