Wouldn’t you know we’re riding on the Marrakesh Express.
They’re taking me to Marrakesh.
That last line cracks me up every time. The jumping melody and the utter ridiculous nature of it’s literal sense: They’re taking me to Marrakesh. Oh really? I love it.
This is a mix of seed that will be part of our upcoming breeding launch (Feb 6. 9 am PST) called Dahlia ‘Petite Florets’ that was collected from one of the first (and my personal favourite) dahlias I ever bred named ‘Floret’. Flowers come in a range of pastel tones, including peach, apricot, dusty rose, lavender, sun bleached raspberry, and buttercream, all with a hauntingly beautiful iridescent wash and a large percentage of the blooms are either collaretes or anemones, many of which have snipped petal tips, long feathery ruffles, and twizzly eyelashes encircling their fuzzy centres. Every one of them is pure magic!
The Canadian government is considering extending the licenses for open-net pen salmon farms in British Columbia (BC) by up to 6 years. This would break their promise to phase out open-net pen salmon farms, which contain non-native Atlantic Salmon, from coastal BC waters by 2025.
Join @wildfirstcanada to stop license extensions for ocean-polluting Atlantic salmon farms in BC beyond 2025. Visit the link in bio to learn more.
Open net-pen salmon farm is the cheapest and easiest way to farm hence it is the most harmful to ocean and not a responsible way to farm as it is ruining the wild salmon run which their migration routes pass by these open-net pen farms. as a result the wild salmon will contract diseases from the farm just by passing by them.
Profit farming is what aquaculture is known for, while local First Nations are further stripped of their resources and life sustaining practices. Providing millions of jobs, but just not to First Nations people of Canada. This isn’t about money…it’s about ethical practices.
