Is there any stereotypes about signs that you don't particularly believe in? Like, my dominant sign is sagittarius but everytime someone mentions anything about the sign, I don't think it describes my personality or anything. Love your blog and posts by the way!

5 Super Green Trees To Bring The Outdoors To Your Doorstep
Unbeknownst to many, living plants do double duty. Not only are they beautiful indoors, they have air purifying capabilities. This, in turn, helps us to maintain good health if we keep some indoor plants at home. Before you rush out to the nearest nursery, there are a few criteria to keep in mind. Indoor plants should be shade-tolerant, meaning it doesn’t need much sunlight for the leaves to…

For those who are looking for a smaller plant that can be placed on small areas such as the table, bathroom or the kitchen counter, a small potted shrub may just be what you need. Help!
I used to like this teenage romance book but I forgot the title. it is an old book so I don’t think it’s printed anymore.
The cover has a girl in a red, long-sleeved dress with her arms crossed. The background is blue. She is a brunette (or blond, I can’t remember). A real model was used, not the painted or drawn image.
What I remember about the story is not much help either..
I believe there was a school prom coming up. Anyway, I remember the guy giving a corsage to the girl in the red dress. The whole story was quite charming which was why I liked it a lot.
It’s definitely nothing like Mills and Boons though! LOL

I have a sneaky suspicion people still think it’s weird that I’d rather meet up at a coffee shop or somewhere away from my home, than at home, but I guess it’s a hard habit to break - for 15 years, I never once got to bring a friend over, and if I ever wanted to visit someone from school I had to listen to the equivalent of the Spanish Inquisition for hours, telling me how bad I was for either wanting to spend a weekend away, or how drunk, or high on drugs I would get if I got to visit my friends, before they even considered letting me go anywhere.
So bringing someone home, even if logically it’s my own home, still feels like something I have to ask someone permission for. And asking for that permission is too taxing.
And I’m 30. My parents are long gone. It shouldn’t be an issue, and yet, unconsciously, it still is.
So these things do fuck up kids beyond recognition, and we need to talk about them, and become much better at calling out and challenging abuse when we see it, but at the same time be aware enough to not put children in harm’s way because we’re “trying to help”.

But abuse is such a complicated issue, and it spans so many things from sexual abuse to neglect, and as a child, you don’t want to rat out your parents.
Combine this with the fact that if a child grows up being abused, it will eventually come to think of it as the norm, and you’ll soon understand why so many children who would indeed benefit from having someone to talk to about their lives don’t ever seek help.

We need to talk about child abuse a lot more, and recognise that there are so many things that constitute abuse, that allowing children to grow up thinking that in order to be abused, you have to be beaten daily, is, in itself, abusive.
As a child, I was given Dave Pelzer’s autobiography “A Child Called It” by someone, and far from helping me seek help, or making me speak up about the oddities of my childhood, it stopped me from doing so because even though I was occasionally beaten up - I have stitches to my body and skull as souvenirs from my childhood - I wasn’t having it even remotely as bad as Dave.
Abuse is a multifold thing, and we need to realise this, and not shy away from calling it out when we see it. If we don’t, we will continue to normalise that which can be hidden from the public eye, and even if we can’t help every child, we can show that we do care, and that we do hear them and that we’re noticing the subtle signals they’re sending out.

A collection of quotes that showed racism. And how silly all of it sounds because it just shows the ignorance of some people.
All the more reason we have to live in a multiracial and multicultural society so people learn not to live with just one colour or one nationality.

I just wish people celebrate more things, even if it is meaningless or a construct of society eg birthdays, Valentine’s etc
People may dislike Valentine’s Day because they find it pretentious but so what really? If it makes another person happy and doesn’t harm anyone, why not? We don’t have to celebrate it grandly to call it a celebration.
Just do something different on that day. It may change the relationship dynamics with the people around us for the better. It’s a bit like a jolt of excitement just to revive things a lil.
Celebrate something each day for all I care. LOL
