i Really want to get back to actively posting my art online……… but to do that i have to either A) start actually finishing pieces, or B) learn to drop the perfectionism and be okay with posting unfinished stuff.

so one of my current slight hyperfixations has been formula 1, which my bf has been having a lot of fun joking abt bc he thinks it’s either very Straight Man of me or very Seven Year Old Boy (which i see and also think is funny)

anyways yesterday for valentine’s day he had gotten me a miniature version of the 2022 model of the ferrari f1 car, with charles leclerc (my fav driver) on the packaging and everything ?? and the whole gift was themed so he’d also gotten me those red ferrari shaped candies and a card with a ferrari on it (originally a bday card for a seven year old).

this was, of course, hilarious, but it was also so sweet bc he wanted to show that whatever weird or silly hyperfixation i have he’ll always support me and want to hear about it 😭

this may just be me going into overanalysis mode but i feel like the choreography of spellcasting can tell you so much about a magic user. a snap of the fingers, for example, implies confidence, even arrogance, while hands thrust out and straining to the fingertips suggests desperation, throwing one's whole body into the spell as though hoping the physical effort will make a difference. rapid, jerky body language tells you that a spellcaster is passionate and reckless, while graceful, fluid movements demonstrate calm and concentration. some magic users may choose to stomp their feet or clap their hands when casting, channeling power through percussive motion, whilst others may see magic as a tool separate from the self, and focus it through objects like a wand or staff. a new spellcaster just coming into their power may be tentative and slow, but a practiced study of magic will be able to rely on muscle memory to guide them.

that's really valid fr, i do like shirabu a lot! agree that hes v v underrated. i also think shiratorizawa has some of the best character designs imo! esp shirabu and semi. their color palettes are great, which always makes me happy to have them on screen. and kenma & kunimi are Good choices for sure.

i think sakusa for me is one of those instances where we dont get a whole lot to work with in canon, but i really enjoy working with the little things we do get !

im so excited for the movie rn, i hope they execute it well. SO excited for more nekoma content :)))

i do indeed very much like haikyuu and death note (among other shows that ill definitely be posting about later lol). my no1 fave from haikyuu would have to be oikawa - he's one of my top kins and means A Lot to me. i also really like kuroo, kenma, sakusa and atsumu! noteworthy shoutout to kageyama as well though, as he was my first fave when i started watching.

i think it's great when someone tries to pull off a tragic self-sacrifice in a story and there's at least one guy who's just like "no this is fucking stupid actually. you're an idiot." about it. because it kind of is. i love a good tragedy but let's be honest with ourselves if a friend tried to indulge a noble sacrifice fantasy would you not be a little annoyed. like come on man.
