During the later years of the Clone Wars, many clones talked about retirement as a reward for their service, but few knew what it entailed. Indeed, the Republic planned to retire the clones, but neither the government nor the clones knew what that meant. If a soldier brought the subject up, their commander would often put an end to the idle chatter. A few forward-looking clones contemplated work in corporate security or consultation with local militaries owing to their lack of civilian job skills, and their accelerated aging process decreased the likelihood of them learning and mastering such job skills before they died. 🧐 Cassian Jeron Andor, also known by the aliases Willix, Aach, Joreth Sward, and the title Fulcrum, was a human male soldier, pilot and Intelligence officer who served in the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars and then the Alliance to Restore the Republic during Operation Fracture and the Galactic Civil War. Andor joined a Rebel mission to steal the plans of the Death Star, a superweapon built by the Galactic Empire. Cassian Jeron Andor, portrayed by Diego Luna, is a character created and developed for the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Luna's casting in the film was first announced on August 15, 2015. At this time, the first photo of the character was released, and the first footage of the character was shown in the Rogue One teaser trailer on April 7, 2016. Luna spoke with his natural Mexican accent while playing Andor. After Rogue One's release, Luna shared a story from a fan who took her Mexican father to see the film because of his accent, which he said made him emotional. Luna will reprise the role of Andor for the upcoming television series Star Wars: Andor, to be released on Disney+. Production began in late November of 2020. 🧐 Bith society on their homeworld of Bith was divided into city-states, a governance system that functioned smoothly despite being so chaotic. Bith culture changed radically following the Nozho–Weogar War that devastated their homeworld, with the population split between those quarantined permanently on Bith, and those out in the galaxy who were unable to ever return. Due to species's strong history of adaptation, some of those struggling eventually became musicians. Those that did became well known in the field despite Bith possessing no greater innate talent for music than any other species. 🧐 Initial development of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars focused on presenting the conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Separatists, leaving no room for third-party villains, but as the storyline progressed, the need for a bounty hunter character emerged. Supervising director Dave Filoni and writer Henry Gilroy initially considered reusing the Gen'Dai bounty hunter Durge from the 2003 Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon, which is now under the Star Wars Legends brand and thus non-canonical. According to Dave Filoni, supervising director for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Bane's iconic toothpick was originally intended to be a cigarette, but the idea was dropped due to its negative and commercial-like message. Before the cancellation of The Clone Wars TV series, Cad Bane was set to make an appearance during a four-episode arc starring him and Boba Fett. 🧐 RZ-1 A-wings from Green Squadron participate in the climactic Battle of Endor depicted in Return of the Jedi (1983). At Endor, an A-wing piloted by Arvel Crynyd crashes into the bridge of the Super Star Destroyer Executor, resulting in the Executor crashing out of control into the second Death Star. In addition to McRae, two women recorded A-wing cockpit footage; one of the actors was cut, and the other was dubbed over by a male actor. A-wings later appear in various Star Wars Expanded Universe television shows, books, and games. Some Expanded Universe material says Jan Dodonna created the A-wing based on his analysis of the role of speed in the Battle of Yavin, the climactic battle in Star Wars (1977). Later material, such as the Star Wars Rebels television series, depicts the starfighters in use before the events of Star Wars. The A-wings of Phoenix Squadron play an important role in Rebels' second season. Rebels producers used the A-wing in part because the ship was not used much in Return of the Jedi. The fighter's presence in the cartoon was meant to show that different groups used different craft to fight the Empire. The series's episodes "The Holocrons of Fate" and "Twin Suns" also feature the two-seater RZ-1T trainer, a training spacecraft used by the rebels to train recruits. Kelly Marie Tran reprised the role of Rose in Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, with a significantly reduced screentime, largely limited to the Resistance base on Ajan Kloss. Co-writer Chris Terrio commented, "One of the reasons that Rose has a few less scenes than we would like her to have has to do with the difficulty of using the late Carrie Fisher's footage in the way we wanted to. We wanted Rose to be the anchor at the rebel base who was with Leia. We thought we couldn't leave Leia at the base without any of the principals who we love, so Leia and Rose were working together. As the process evolved, a few scenes we'd written with Rose and Leia turned out to not meet the standard of photorealism that we'd hoped for. Those scenes unfortunately fell out of the film. 🧐 Grogu, known to many simply as "the Child," was a male Force-sensitive Mandalorian foundling that belonged to the same species as Jedi Grand Master Yoda and Jedi Master Yaddle. Grogu was born in the year 41 BBY, and was raised at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Grogu was eventually held at a hideout run by Nikto mercenaries on Arvala-7 during the New Republic Era, having survived the siege of the Jedi Temple decades prior. While still an infant at the age of fifty years, he was sought, on behalf of Moff Gideon, by an Imperial who hired Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin to retrieve him. However, Djarin chose not to leave Grogu with the Imperials and rescued him from the Imperial remnant facility. After attempting to hide with Grogu along the fringes of the galaxy, Djarin returned to Nevarro to deal with the Imperials chasing Grogu in hopes of keeping him safe. In the process, Grogu became a Mandalorian foundling and the single other member of Djarin's newly created clan. 🧐 The 332nd Company, informally known as Ahsoka's Clone Troopers, was a company within a division of the 501st Legion of the Galactic Republic, characterized by the distinctive helmet design of its troopers. It was active during the late Clone Wars after Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano left the Jedi Order. When she returned to help Republic forces stage an invasion of Mandalore, the company alongside Clone Commander Rex and Clone Captain Vaughn were selected to help. The company reinforced the Republic troops in the invasion, successfully defeating Maul and the Shadow Collective. However, on the way back to Coruscant, Order 66 was enacted and the 332nd Company turned on Ahsoka Tano.
