Blood Oath will be back sometime after the JJK manga finishes, I’m currently on the lore drop chapter and don’t want to retcon anything more, I’ve already retconned my original ending because of… certain events in the manga. At this point, waiting for the series to end is much easier than having to fix something in the future because Gege decided to do major lore drops in the final like 10 chapters without fully fleshing them out.

Chapter 5. Reunion
You wasted no time burying your head into Choso's chest, crying loudly. You had been so concerned about Yuji seeing you cry the day before but here you were, on the streets of Harajuku wailing like a toddler. You felt Choso's arms around you, as well as Yuji's, as the brothers attempted to comfort you.
When your crying finally hushed to a few sniffles, you pulled away from your friends and noticed a few tears in Choso's eyes. He always cried whenever you or Yuji did. This time, he looked as if he was trying not to cry. You could tell he was only trying to appear put-together for you guys.
It took a lot of explaining on the train ride back to Jujutsu Tech, and a lot of tears, but you eventually had everyone on the same page. You decided not to mention your father's words to Choso as that was something you felt should be kept between yourself, Yuji, Choso and Yaga and you knew Fushiguro or Nobara could be listening in, curious about their new classmates.
The rest of the train ride was uneventful, aside from Nobara and Yuji bickering pretty intensely. You joined in occasionally, poking fun at your longtime friend and adding fuel to Nobara's arguments. After some good laughs with your new classmates, you started the track back to school and arrived in one piece.
Once back at your dorm, you said goodbye to your friends and made plans to meet in your room later so you and Yuji could talk to Choso about everything you knew so far. You had all avoided talking about the death surrounding you while on the train but you knew you'd need to tear that bandaid off soon.
You put your phone on charge before quickly changing into comfier clothes. Gojo had mentioned that the trip to Harajuku would be all for today so you planned on walking down to the shops and using some money you had saved for some new clothes and possibly a better pair of shoes since you only had your school shoes and the pair you had worn today.
You started the shower and went to gather all of your toiletries before realizing that Yaga, or maybe Ichiji, hadn't grabbed your shampoo but rather, two different conditioners. Yours and your mom's. You let out a sullen groan before opening the door to the hallway.
Nobara had been placed in the room across from you and you could hear music lightly playing from inside. You shuffled across the hall, your slippers scraping against the wood. You knocked on the door and after a few noises inside, Nobara opened the door.
"Hi." You started, taking in her appearance and what little of her room you could see. Her room already looked more settled in than yours. Turning your attention to her, Nobara had a fluffy headband on and had removed her makeup, a toothbrush hanging out of her mouth. She hummed at you, prompting you to ask her what you needed so she could get back to her business.
"Sorry, I just noticed I have two conditioners and no shampoo." You nervously laughed. "Do you think I could use a bit of yours?" Your classmate nodded and moved aside, ushering you to come inside. She disappeared into her bathroom for a second before emerging with a shampoo bottle and no more toothbrush.
"Here. You can bring it back when you're done with it." You smiled and thanked her. You apologized for bothering her, which she dismissed with a slight wave of her hand. "Don't worry about it. Itadori did say that both of you came kind of late, last minute transfer or something. With sorcery, you kind of get dragged into it, am I right?" You laughed and agreed.
"Yeah, you can say that again."
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
After your much-needed shower, you ran the borrowed shampoo back to Nobara and thanked her again. You wanted to invite her shopping with you but you figured she was busy unpacking, plus she had already shopped earlier that day in Harajuku.
Next, you stopped by Fushiguro's room to ask if it was okay for you to leave and shop or if there was some rule against leaving or maybe even a process to leave campus. He said you were fine as long as someone was aware of your location, which he was. He gave you the okay and you thanked him as well before returning to your room.
Luckily, shopping went by without an event and you were able to return to your dorm with enough time to settle down before Yuji and Choso came over. You unpacked a few more things from your bags and finished one of them, right in time for the knock at your door. You shouted a quick, "coming!" and stood, making your way over to the entrance to your room.
You swung the door open and must not have disguised your disappointment well enough because Yaga looked down at you and remarked, "Not who you were expecting?" He had a slight smile on his face when you met his gaze, obviously finding this amusing. "Um-" You cleared your throat, "no sir, I was expecting Yuji and Choso. You lowered your head in a meek apology before looking up at him.
"It's alright, Y/N. I would like to speak with you about your father." You froze a bit, not expecting this to happen so soon. I mean, he does run an entire school. You expected your little chat about good ol' dad to kind of be on the back burner but it seems you were wrong. You nodded your head before going to grab your shoes. You figured you could stay in your comfy clothes as they weren't inappropriate at all.
Your body ran ice cold with anticipation as you closed your door behind you. You couldn't tell if you were nervous or scared, probably both. All you knew for sure is that you were definitely on edge. You picked at your nails to keep your hands occupied, looking at your hands and feet intently. You didn't even notice when you stopped in front of another room.
The strong knock from Yaga made you look up, curious as to who's room this was. You only knew where the first year's rooms were so you felt your stomach drop at the possibility of you meeting one of your upperclassmen.
This thought of the upperclassmen definitely scared you. Whereas Nobara and Fushiguro were experienced enough to actually participate in class, you still weren't the only one among the first years with no prior curse training or whatever they called it. Gojo had given a "cursed tool" to Yuji earlier so you were a bit relieved that you would never be defenseless as long as you had a weapon full of cursed energy. Maybe you could mention getting one to Yaga during your talk.
After a bit of shuffling behind the door, Yuji opened the door to your surprise. He greeted the principal before him, making sure to use the proper honorifics while addressing someone with a higher position. Yaga cleared his throat and asked a question that made your blood run cold, "Hello, Yuji. Is your brother here?"

Sorry for the extremely short chapter! I've had so much going on and this week, I've come down with tonsillitis, among other things :(
I made the decision to keep this chapter short as it was always meant to just be a set-up chapter and I was having a hard time bulking it up again after I lost a decent bit of the writing.
I do post updates like this to my Twitter (X) for any readers wanting to stay in the loop on updates and such! I try to keep other posts to a minimum so it isn't too hard to find info on my page.
The next chapter should be longer and I would like to have it up by next Friday but as I already delayed this chapter a bit, it may be pushed back. I will keep everyone updated when I know for sure <3

Chapter 4. Miscalculation
You weren’t sure what you were expecting from this “fourth student” but you were eager to meet them. Anyone could be better than Stank Face. You rushed around your room getting ready. A uniform had been outside your bedroom door, which you discovered when Yuji woke you up this morning.
Luckily, there were a few sets of each piece and you silently thanked Yaga for noticing your preferences in your wardrobe. You knew you’d be comfortable wearing this uniform. The uniform didn’t include shoes so you figured you would wear your own. You hoped you weren’t wrong about that, you honestly didn’t think you could handle getting reprimanded by Gojo without laughing at him.
You tried calling Choso again after Yuji left and got his voicemail again. A little worried, you tried to distract yourself with getting ready. You felt bad that this was exactly how Choso must have felt. Once you were dressed, you made a quick stop in the bathroom to make yourself presentable. You stepped out into the hall once you were done and saw Fushiguro stepping out of his room as well. Your eyes met before he quickly averted his gaze. Maybe he was just antisocial?
You walked over to Yuji’s room, the room next to Fushiguro’s, and knocked. Shuffling could be heard before Yuji slammed open the door, causing you to jump. “Sorry.” He laughed. “Didn’t mean to do that.” He took a second to finish putting on his shoes before joining you in the hall. He greeted Fushiguro who just gave a slight wave of acknowledgement. You changed your mind and thought maybe he wasn’t a morning person?
You all made pleasant conversation, although Fushiguro’s responses were less than pleasant. You noticed he never really indulged information about himself and instead gave the bare minimum of information required of him. He was so gloomy it was almost funny. You wondered jokingly how long he could resist Yuji’s radiant positivity.
You decided to turn the conversation and asked Yuji about Choso and discovered he also hadn’t heard from him, which was even more unusual. Choso was very family-orientated and you had expected him to latch onto Yuji’s after the death of Wasuke but it seemed like he might still be tied up with the aftermath of dealing with that. It was really strange for him to not answer Yuji, even if he is busy.
You grew more worried as Megumi held up his phone and told us to come with him to meet Gojo. You and Yuji followed behind him while joking about seeing Gojo again. Yuji explained why Gojo wears the blindfold and how he can see, which he had asked Fushiguro about yesterday. Gojo apparently has some super complicated yet powerful cursed technique that has a tendency to overload his senses and it makes him tired. By covering his eyes, he prevents fatigue but he can still perceive his surroundings with his technique.
After catching a train to Harajuku, Fushiguro led you effortlessly to presumably meet Gojo. You thought maybe he had Gojo’s location until you all stopped near the station and Fushiguro stated that Gojo was meeting us here. Yuji took the opportunity to quickly grab a snack from a nearby vendor; a popsicle. You looked at the people around you. Gojo was a big guy and still, you didn’t see him anywhere in the crowd around the station.
Yuji and Fushiguro talked about the fourth student they were meeting with Fushiguro explaining the rarity of jujutsu sorcerers. He made a quick comment about yours and Yuji’s situation being an exception and that it was rare to even have sorcerers know each other outside of family clans and the jujutsu schools. You were about to ask Fushiguro for more information on the other schools but you were cut off by a greeting from Gojo.
“Thanks for waiting!” He was waving as you three looked in his direction. “Oh! Your guys’ uniforms got here fast!” He exclaimed. Yuji noted the differences between his and Fushiguro’s uniforms, prompting Gojo to explain.
“Uniforms can be customized, upon the student’s request.” He offered before Yuji looked confused and stated that he didn’t put in a request. Gojo beamed as he responded, “Oh, I did that for you.” Yuji fell silent as he moved the hood of his uniform between his index and thumb, looking at it curiously. You looked back at Gojo as he began to speak to you. “Principal Yaga went ahead and customized yours as well.”
You quickly noted that Gojo spoke informally about his superior and found it strange. You decided to leave it to ask Fushiguro about later since he seemed to know Gojo, at least better than you or Yuji. At your thought of Fushiguro, he piped up, noting how Gojo was “quirky”.
You had to stop yourself from rolling your eyes.
Gojo started walking and motioned for you all the follow. Megumi asked our teacher why we came all the way to Harajuku and he wasted no time explaining that she requested to be met there. So, the mystery student is a girl! You celebrated internally as Yuji started exclaiming about popcorn and ran to get some quickly before hurrying to catch up with your small group.
It took a while for Gojo to spot the fourth first year, giving Yuji plenty of time to run off and grab snacks and souvenirs from vendors you walked past, even dragging you to one that sold crepes. You both quickly paid before jogging to catch up with the other two. You laughed as Yuji backtracked once again to grab a pair of 2018 novelty sunglasses which he looked absolutely ridiculous in, prompting you to burst out laughing again.
As you rejoined Gojo and Fushiguro, Gojo pointed out a girl in a uniform that matched Jujutsu Tech’s colors. She had a short brown bob and seemed to be harassing some poor man. Fushiguro sheepishly asked if we’d be talking to her and Yuji responded that she was embarrassing herself. Fushiguro mumbled a quick, “look who’s talking.” Gojo called out to her and she quickly joined everyone.
After a moment of awkward silence, Gojo clapped his hands and prompted the group to introduce themselves. The girl began. “I’m Nobara Kugisaki.” She spoke confidently. “You’re lucky for getting to hang out with a girl like me.” She cocked her hip out, placing her right hand there.
Yuji and Megumi introduced themselves. You decided to introduce yourself similar to Yuji and stated your name and where you were from but added that you liked her uniform. She beamed with pride as she thanked you. Her demeanor shifted as she stared at the boys before sighing and proclaiming herself unlucky.
Your pleasantries were interrupted by Gojo as he announced the four of you would be doing a tour of Tokyo. “We have three Tokyo newbies so make sure to show them how to have fun, Megumi.” He added with a smile in Megumi’s direction. Megumi looked less than thrilled but Yuji, Nobara and yourself almost exploded in excitement, quickly rambling about everything you all wanted to see.
Yuji dragged you behind him as he threw himself on Gojo, exclaiming his ideas before you and Nobara joined in. Gojo raised his arms in an attempt to avoid the stampede of his enthusiastic students while he and Fushiguro corrected your suggestions with their actual locations. Gojo announced that you would all be going to Roppongi, which caused Yuji and Nobara to perk up but you questioned to yourself what you would be doing there.
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
“Here we are!” Gojo declared. You all looked at the building in front of you and it didn’t take long for you to realize you had been played. The situation change soured your mood and you felt more like you imagined Fushiguro felt.
Nobara and Yuji raged beside you as Gojo and Fushiguro assessed the building. Yuji quickly calmed down, asking Gojo about curses with Fushiguro helping to explain. He corrected Gojo, telling you and Yuji about the formation of curses and how they’re tied to negative human emotions gathering in one spot, making places like graveyards and hospitals curse breeding ground.
Nobara snarking commented about Yuji’s lack of knowledge, making you a bit self-conscious. You didn’t know anything about curses, at least Yuji had first hand experiences with them. Gojo interrupted them before Nobara could question your knowledge, thankfully. “I’d like to know what you guys can do, think of this as a field test.” He said, matter-of-factly.
“Nobara, Yuji. You two will be going inside to exorcize the curse inside.” He turned towards you, “L/N, you haven’t been field approved yet so you’ll stay here with Megumi.” You felt a bit of relief but also, you were a bit bummed that you weren’t getting to participate. Yuji voiced his concern over being unable to defeat the curse before Gojo presented him with a cursed tool, called Slaughter Demon, and explained that he could defeat a curse with it due to the weapon being infused with cursed energy.
As Yuji and Nobara headed inside, Gojo warned Yuji to keep Sukuna contained as his presence could attract more curses as well as put everyone in the vicinity in danger. The pair disappeared inside and Megumi turned his attention to Gojo. “Let me go.” He tried before the man shot him down, stating he was still in recovery. Megumi tried to argue that they needed to watch Yuji, which confused you, to which Gojo retorted that this was more a test for Nobara.
You decided to ask Gojo the one question that was digging at you. “Why can I not participate?” You inquired hesitantly. Gojo turned his attention to you. “I wanted to let you go as I’m also curious about what you can do but Yaga wanted to personally evaluate you before you’re cleared for training, field work and missions. Sorry, kid.” His apology sounded genuine, even if it was informal.
You decided to drop it and sat patiently against the building, listening to Gojo and Megumi talk about Yuji. Tuning them out, you began to ponder all your new knowledge and how it fit with what you already knew while you waited for Yuji and Nobara to return.
Suddenly, you heard glass breaking. You held your arm to shield your eyes as you looked up, locating the source of the noise. An ugly, hairy monster had burst out the window. You watched the glitter of glass falling from behind the monster, which you assumed to be a curse. You gasped in disgust and out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Gojo triumphantly smiling in your direction. Pocketing that to ask about later, you looked to Megumi, who stood up, stating that he would deal with it. Gojo told him to wait.
Spikes shot out of the curse as it squealed in anguish before exploding into a ball of energy as it continued to fall. “She’s crazy enough.” Gojo bragged to Megumi as he just stood in silence, observing the curse as it slowly burnt up, leaving behind nothing.
Yuji and Nobara emerged from the building, bickering. There was a small boy with them who thanked them before skittering off. You wondered what that was about but you figured the kid had just been in the building. Gojo greeted the duo with praise before announcing that we’d be getting food, causing Yuji and Nobara to shout out opposing ideas before glaring at one another.
Yuji greeted you and Fushiguro before commenting on his pissy mood, which he denied. The group pointed out that he was obviously upset over being left out and Nobara tried to suppress a laugh, “how immature.” Gojo checked his phone briefly before announcing that the group would be heading to a sushi restaurant near the station before heading back to Jujutsu Tech.
Yuji tried to go souvenir shopping again but Nobara stopped him, complaining that he’d delay our arrival to the restaurant. They bickered back and forth, eventually changing the topic to their time in the building with the curse. They had an issue with teamwork and Nobara was giving him shit about it. Yuji tried to defend himself but the class had arrived at the doors of the restaurant.
You looked at the canopy bearing the restaurant’s name, Gonpachi. A stairway led down to the restaurant on your right but through the windows, you could see it was decently busy inside. Gojo ran inside to check availability and popped his head out to beckon everyone inside. Once inside, the cool air of the AC immediately calmed Yuji and Nobara down as they began to excitedly chatter about what they wanted to order.
After grabbing a table and ordering, Gojo’s treat, you all settled in. Gojo antagonized Fushiguro as he looked forward and sipped his water, indifferent to his teacher’s shenanigans. Yuji and Nobara, the only ones in the group who seemed to be brimming with energy, chatted about their lives back home and what they looked forward to in Tokyo. You learned that Nobara wanted to be a model, which was what she was “discussing” with the man she was with earlier. You told her that you definitely thought she could be a model one day and she smiled at you before stating proudly, “I know, that guy didn’t know what he was missing out on.”
Soon, your food arrived and silence finally fell upon your rag-tag bunch as you all ate. You perked up at the sound of a phone buzzing and you hand reached for your phone. It didn’t take long for you to realize that it wasn’t your phone ringing and you looked at Gojo, the source of the noise. You quickly turned your attention back to your food, disappointed that it wasn’t your phone and hoped no one noticed that you had thought that it was your phone ringing.
Gojo excused himself, explaining that he’d return in a few. Yuji and Nobara were too preoccupied to answer so you acknowledged him, as well as Fushiguro. Once he was gone however, all hell broke lose.
“Who does he think he is!” Nobara roared, receiving a frantic hush from you and Fushiguro. You both bowed your heads in apology to the other patrons looking your way. “Who?” You asked and Nobara grumbled angrily as she accused Gojo of promising them food and then leaving a bunch of high schoolers to foot the bill. As she was saying this, you looked at Yuji who you noticed was getting more and more agitated. Once she finished, he turned his attention to the other male at the table.
“You know Gojo, Fushiguro. Would he do that?” Megumi appeared to think it over before nodding his head silently, sipping his drink again. This concluded his contribution to the conversation as he returned to his own little world. Yuji and Nobara groaned before they, once again, started to bicker. “I think we should split it evenly!” Stated Yuji. “That’s not fair!” Nobara whined, “You got the most expensive roll, Itadori! We’ll each pay for what we got!” You tried, and failed, to reassure them that Gojo would return as he promised. They began to play rock paper scissors to decide how they would split the bill.
You were actually relieved once Gojo returned, for once glad to see the peculiar man. “Is everyone done? Good!” He asked, barring any answers. “Let’s go!”
Gojo ended up paying and you couldn’t help but shoot a “I told you so” towards Yuji, who made a face at you in return. You laughed as you followed the group, pleasantly chatting with Nobara about some recent trends she was enjoying.
You all neared the station, marking the end of your “field trip”. Although you had been upset over not being able to participate much, you were mostly satisfied with the day. It had successfully distracted you from worrying about Choso, save for the moment in the restaurant.
“Oh, I forgot to mention something!” Gojo turned to face everyone. “We have another student joining us, a second year. They’re going to catch a ride with you guys back to campus.” Fushiguro asked who it was, inquiring about a few different names you assumed to belong to your new upperclassmen. Gojo smiled, a sign that he had no intention of telling him, and shrugged obnoxiously. You could’ve sworn you even saw him stick out his tongue.
“They should join you here soon, but I’ve gotta get going.” He stated, “Once he’s finished with his errand. He knows where to meet you.” Fushiguro attempted to stop Gojo, to no avail, and your teacher departed. You could almost make out Fushiguro’s annoyed grumbling before Yuji shouted excitedly and took off. You tried to watch where he was going but he quickly disappeared in the small crowd surrounding you.
Nobara tried to ask you a question but as your stomach dropped, you knew you had to follow Yuji. You ran in the same direction as your best friend had, the sting of your feet striking the concrete beneath you pushed you faster. A clearing appeared about 15 feet in front of you and you caught a flash of Yuji’s pink hair, darting in that direction. Weaving roughly through the growing crowd, you swiftly apologized as you bumped shoulders with someone and stumbled.
You pushed forward, slowing immensely as the number of commuters grew on the street. You searched for an open space, any pocket you could get through and came up empty. You pushed towards the buildings, hoping for some place to look for Yuji. After a good minute of shuffling through the crowd you reached a storefront that was mostly free of people.
Mostly. You took a shaky breath as you tried to regain your composure before you stepped forward. Your legs throbbed at your step and you stumbled forward. Right into the arms of one of your best friends, Yuji’s older brother, Choso Itadori.

Chapter 3. Revelation
You weren’t sure how to respond to Yuji’s question. How could you tell someone who grew up alongside you that your parents, who he knew very well, were dead? So you deflected. “Me?” You sniggered. “What are you doing here, Yuji?” You didn’t want to pull away in fear that Yuji would see your flushed cheeks and swollen eyes but you knew you couldn’t stay wrapped around him forever.
Before he could respond, someone cleared their throat. You both looked towards the source of the noise and the white hair man, who you’d barely even noticed before, gave a small wave. He was strangely wearing a blindfold and you wondered how he even knew you were there. “Hi, yes, hate to interrupt. You must be L/N.” You were going to confirm but he didn’t give you a chance to. “I’m Gojo Satoru, your newwwwww teacher!” He exclaimed while striking a stupid pose. You were not amused.
“Oh, and that’s Megumi. Fushiguro.” He pointed aimlessly in the direction of the dark haired boy. When you looked, you realized he was the same boy you had seen chase after Yuji yesterday. The one who gave you both a stank face. He looked very annoyed at Gojo’s excitement and like he very much would rather be anywhere but here. Honestly, it was a sentiment you shared at this moment.
“Anyway!” Gojo clapped his hands. “We’re going on a field trip tomorrow! We’re going to be picking up the fourth first-year! So make sure you kids rest up!” With that he left, offering no further explanation. You and that Megumi boy sighed after Gojo left, both obviously happy that he was gone. You turned to Yuji.
“So? Are you going to tell me what’s going on?” You heard a door slam behind you and saw that Megumi was gone. You didn’t get why he was so gloomy but you really didn’t care. I mean, you just met the guy and he already gave you the stank eye yesterday. No thanks.
You and Yuji decided you would go to your room to talk. Yuji wasted no time flopping on your bed, like he used to, and going on about what had happened. “So, grandpa died.” You covered your mouth to suppress a gasp. It hurt but you had hurt too much just in the last 24 hours, you had to push it down and decided to contemplate your own mortality later on when you were alone. You couldn’t let Yuji catch on that you were upset, he needed you.
You inched closer to your new bed where he was laying on his stomach with a pillow shoved under his chest. You rubbed circles with your thumb on Yuji’s arm, attempting to console him, something you had never done since he was always so bright and cheery. However, you had both known this was coming, Choso knew and accepted it long before he told you two. He had a habit of trying to protect you two from the harsh reality of the world. How ironic considering what just happened to both of your families and the fact that Choso was not here at all.
Yuji continued his story about what happened. He apparently ate a finger that contained a powerful curse and it granted him the ability to see curses. Whatever that meant. He also fought a curse and went on a little rendezvous with the blindfold guy from earlier. Yuji laughed a little as he explained how he had to receive the Principal’s permission to join Jujutsu High and fought some weird animated stuffed animals. So that’s the business Yaga needed to attend to. Things were finally starting to make a little bit of sense but you still didn’t get what jujutsu was or what curses were. And where the hell was Choso?
When you tried to ask him what all of this meant, Yuji was just as confused as you. So, you asked him where his brother was. “Oh, Choso?” He scratched the back of his head. “He stayed behind to deal with our belongings and grandpa’s… stuff.” You could sense that Yuji was in pain, he was way more somber than you’d ever seen him. He normally had so much energy that you would almost need to tie him down if you wanted him to sit still. You hated to see him like this and you knew he’d hate to see you in pain, like you were this morning. You wanted to wait as long as possible before telling him about your parents.
“Oh, I forgot the most important part, Y/N.” You turned to look at Yuji and saw a mouth on his face. You scrambled back, a slight scream making its way out of your throat before you could suppress it. “Yuji, what the actual fuck is that?!” You squealed. He frowned a bit but before he could speak, the mouth spoke for him.
“Another weakling!” It yelled, laughing. “How pathetic! Is this really your friend, brat?” Yuji covered the mouth with his hand, muffling it slightly but you could still hear the… thing raging under it. “Annoying, isn’t he?” He laughed nervously. You asked him again what that was, less freaked out after seeing Yuji was mostly calm and not scared. As if this was normal. “He’s the curse I ate, his name is Ryomen Sukuna.” He paused. “He kind of lives in me now, I guess.” With that, Yuji explained his execution terms, thankfully with no input from Sukuna, and your heart sank. You really were going to lose everyone.
Your head was reeling. Your parents, Yuji’s grandfather and Yuji… the only one left was Choso. “Does Choso know all of this?” You asked and Yuji sat up, shaking his head, gripping the pillow to him. “No, not yet. I didn’t want to tell him over the phone, especially since grandpa-” You sighed. “I know.” You both sat in silence, both processing all of the information.
“Yuji?” You asked. He was blankly staring ahead before looking at you, immediately smiling. You knew it wasn’t his real smile, but it was a good imitation. He hummed in acknowledgment. “Did you know anything about curses and jujutsu before today?” He thought for a moment before shrugging, “No, I don’t think so.”
Something wasn’t adding up. How had you both been affected by something so otherworldly in the same night? There had to be a connection somewhere. Something you weren’t seeing or something you both didn’t know, yet. Yuji kept staring at you while you thought things through. However, you were focused, trying so hard to think of what the common thread could be.
As far as you knew, your parents were once jujutsu sorcerers, or at the very least, your father was. You had put this together from what he said before he died and Yaga’s language last night seemed to suggest he knew your father as a sorcerer. You had figured out from what little you had been told that jujutsu sorcerers use a cursed technique. That was your theory. Something made your dad quit though.
You wracked your brain for what else your father or Yaga had said. Then, you remembered. Your father’s words echoed through your mind and you stood quickly, startling Yuji. You quickly fished a notebook you had seen earlier out of one of the bags Yaga pcked and grabbed a pen from the same bag. You wrote your father’s words on the page and looked. This was the key.
You hadn’t even realized Yuji was behind you until he began to read the page. “I even suppressed his offspring’s cursed technique for 15 years? I allowed them to play with my daughter, putting her in danger her whole life? What does that mean, Y/N?” He asked. You closed the notebook.
You turned to look at your best friend, someone you grew up with. Someone you had been “allowed” to play with. It couldn’t be talking about him, could it? You decided you wouldn’t allow yourself to think that, not until you had spoken to Yaga and learned more about your father. You knew you couldn’t hold off on telling Yuji anymore so you turned to him, tears already starting to well in your eyes. “Yuji, I haven’t told you something but, it’s kind of important.” With that, you finally told Yuji what happened to your parents.
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
Yuji took the news better than you expected. You suspected it was the same reason you were even still functional at all; you needed answers. You could mourn your parents in private but in public, you would need to be absorbing every bit of information you could. Yaga had some of the answers you needed but he wouldn’t have all of them so you decided to suck it up and figure out what’s going on and why all of this happened to you and your friends.
When you finished telling Yuji everything you knew so far, he comforted you before excusing himself. You saw a look in his eyes you hadn’t seen before and knew he was on the same page as you. Answers first, mourn later.
Outside your window, a warm summer night fell, getting darker by the minute. Your room was a bit cooler which was nice. You remembered Gojo’s words from earlier about getting rest. You figured you might as well start to get ready for bed. Silently thanking this weird school for individual bathrooms and your own space, you quickly took a shower. Yaga had thankfully grabbed you some toiletries and it took all of your strength not to cry when you noticed a few of the things were actually your mother’s.
After getting out of the shower, you rummaged through the bags and found suitable pajamas. You slipped on a pair of pajama shorts and a random t-shirt. You walked over to the bed and sat on the edge. You’re not going to cry. You can’t. You needed something to distract your mind, to not spiral into overthinking and blaming yourself.
You grabbed your phone off of your new nightstand before turning it on. This was the first moment of somewhat peace you’ve had all day and therefore, the first chance you’ve had to check your phone. There were a few messages from classmates ranging from asking if you’re okay to asking if you needed notes from today’s class. You decided it was probably best you didn’t answer them right now as you now knew you probably weren’t going back to that school. You would stay at Jujutsu Tech until you got answers.
You scrolled through the numerous notifications before seeing a text from Choso. There was a lot. You always stayed off your phone during study time so you honestly hadn’t been on your phone since right after dinner last night. The first text was a simple hey, which was sent while you and Yuji were still at your club meetings yesterday. Then, it was a somber few texts telling you what happened with their grandpa. Next, increasingly frantic texts asking if you were okay, what was happening, why weren’t you answering. The last of these texts made your heart throb. “Y/N, who’s at your house? Where are you?”
A tear plopped on the screen and it slowly rolled down the display as you continued reading. You started checking your call logs against the text times and saw that Choso had been blowing up your phone the entire night, in between texts and didn’t stop until earlier today. The last few texts were just asking where you were over and over and then the final text, a simple “please call me, Y/N. I just want to make sure you’re okay. I’m sorry if I upset you…”
You set your phone down and buried your face in your hands. You felt sick. You should have gotten ahold of Choso, or at least told Yuji to tell him you were okay. Again, you were only worried about yourself. You grabbed your phone and dialed the all-too-familiar number.
The tone kept ringing through your ear and it eventually clicked and you heard Choso’s voicemail message. You left a brief message letting him know that you were okay and asked him to call you back when he could and so you could explain everything. Once you cut the call, you finally laid down on your bed. You stared at the ceiling, trying to force your mind to stop going a mile a minute.
Eventually, you faded off into sleep.

Chapter 2: Mourning
It takes about five minutes of silence for your thoughts to begin eating at you. The reality of your situation started to sink in, giving you the opportunity to spend the long car ride wallowing in your own self-pity. As much as it made you want to scream, you had already accepted that your parents were dead. You tried to push down the nausea building in the pit of your stomach as your mind is racing. Your whole body was numb and prickly, wrecked with guilt over the whole situation.
You had been distracted when your parents were attacked, if you hadn’t been, could you have saved them or would you have faced the same fate? The thought played on repeat in your mind.
You finally decided on the latter. After all, if you did confront the blue haired man, your insides would likely be plastered on your living room wall with your parents’. You certainly couldn’t have fought him. But could you really live without your family? Sure, you guys fought over trivial matters but that was a given with strict parents. You wondered if you could live with this guilt, blaming yourself for your parents’ end.
The car ride went by agonizingly slow. Paralyzed by your thoughts, you couldn’t even enjoy the scenery whisking by. Your stomach rumbled but you knew for a fact you couldn’t eat. Your stomach did flips at the thought of food causing you to scrunch yourself into your seat as much as you could, longing for any sort of pressure that could ease your upset stomach.
Almost as if he knew what was going on, Yaga paused before saying, “I know you’re probably not hungry but we need you to eat.” He held up a signal and the driver of the car pulled off onto a side road. You glared at the man. The man who has all the answers you were looking for yet, he was withholding them. You decided not to say anything, not knowing for sure if he was an ally or enemy. It would be better not to upset him.
You sat in your seat brooding as the driver maneuvered throughout the town you were in before stopping in front of a convenience store. Yaga asked you to come in but you stayed put, crossing your arms in protest. Sighing, he went inside anyway, without you, and emerged after a few minutes with a bulging tote bag. He reentered the car and got situated before rummaging through the bag and handing you a steamed bun.
Your stomach rumbled, followed by a wave a nausea. The bun in your hand was warm, heating you up, even if just for a minute. The numb needle sensation in your hands subsided as you gripped the package. You thought you couldn’t eat but when the scent hit your nose, you were ravenous. Tearing open the packaging, you bit down quickly. When the bun was suddenly gone, you found yourself disappointed but the warmth of the food spread throughout your gut, sending a shiver throughout your body.
You heard the crinkle of another package and looked over to see Yaga offering you another bun. You gladly accepted, taking your time and savoring it. With some food in your stomach, the nausea subsided. After eating, you felt slightly better but your mind was still pretty foggy. You didn’t even realize you had fallen asleep again until you were being shaken awake.
This time, it was not Yaga that greeted you but the driver. Standing in the opening of the car door, his face peered in at you as he announced your arrival to Yaga’s school. You hadnt been able to get a good look at the driver in the car but when he stepped back from the space next to the open car door, you were able to finally able to get a peek. His suit hung limply off his thin frame, which was reflected in his face and sunken cheekbones. He had dark hair parted down the middle and you would’ve thought he was pretty nerdy if he was your age with those glasses.
He smiled hesitantly at you, almost as if it was unnatural to him. He looked nervous and you could’ve sworn you saw a bead of sweat roll down his forehead. You managed a weak smile back as you sat up again. You panicked as you quickly realized your phone was missing. The driver jolted and exclaimed a quick acknowledgement of your confusion. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out your phone and handed it to you.
“When you fell asleep last night, you were clutching your phone so tightly that we couldn’t get it out of your hands but you left it on the seat earlier and we were able to charge it for you.” He bowed his head slightly as he handed it to you, which you returned. “Thank you, uh-“ “Ijichi.” He chimed in. “Kiyotaka.” You nodded in response before looking down at your phone.
Your display blinked to life, a picture of you, Yuji and Choso greeting you. You had all been at the park near your house, which you had still occasionally visited on weekends even though you had long outgrown the playground. This particular day was Yuji’s 15th birthday. It was particularly warm for March so you all had decided to have a picnic in the park. You wanted to smile but you broke at the thought that you may never get to celebrate birthdays with them anymore.
You longed for a shred of normalcy or the joy of your childhood but you remembered last night and the pit in your stomach returned. You missed your family, you missed your room and you missed your friends. Would they know what happened or would you just disappear from their life? The thought was unbearable.
Swinging your legs out of the car, you stood shakily and caught sight of Yaga at the back of the car hauling what looked like your stuff. Upon catching a glimpse of your childhood suitcase donned with stickers and poorly-applied glitter, you were sure it was all of you stuff. Your entire life in a child’s suitcase.
Ijichi stayed close to you, probably scared that you wouldn’t be able to stand again. You waited patiently as Yaga and Ijichi gathered your things before leading you onto the school’s campus.
You were amazed at the architecture of the buildings. It was so unique compared to any other school, at least ones you had seen in and around Sendai City. You didn’t see much activity down the walkway, leading you to believe that either class was in session or the student population and staff were few and far between. You struggled a bit to keep up with Yaga and Ijichi but managed anyway.
You soon arrived at one of the buildings. The exterior of the building had many windows surrounded by a dark wood. With matching architecture to the surrounding buildings, you were just as clueless to this buildings purpose as you were to the others. Yaga ushered you inside where you were met with a hallway with many doors before he began explaining some housekeeping rules, general rules and security measures in place before stopping in front of one of the doors.
“This will be where you’ll be staying, L/N. You can decorate the room however you want, within reason. We don’t have many students so we placed you near the other ladies but if you’d rather be a bit aways, let Ijichi know and we can make arrangements. If you end up staying in this room, just be mindful of your neighbors.” He opened the door in front of you, allowing you to see the contents of your room.
There was small entry, a counter lined the left wall and had a sink and a small electric stovetop. To the right, there was a sliding door leading to presumably a bathroom. Further into the room, you could catch a glimpse of a bed and large window but not much else. You walked in and saw there was also a desk, side table and dresser. The men followed and placed your belongings inside.
“Thank you.” You said while lowering your head slightly. They both acknowledged your gratitude. Yaga explained he needed to attend to the school business and that since Ijichi is the manager of the school, that he would also be leaving. He suggested unpacking and placed a consoling hand on your shoulder before leaving along with Ijichi.
Once they were gone, you flopped on your new bed. You were thankful for shelter but this room didn’t compare to your home at all. It lacked your spark, the life you brought to your room over the course of the last 16 years. You stretched on the bed, your muscles relieved to be relaxed after such a long car ride.
You stood. Thanks to the food from earlier, you felt a bit more grounded than you had felt earlier in the day. You looked at your suitcase and the other bags filled with the belongings Yaga thought you would like to bring along. You wondered how he decided what to bring and what to leave. Did he leave anything important?
Curiosity got the best of you and you walked over to the small gathering of your things and decided to start with the other bags first. The first duffel bag contained clothes, which you promptly threw to the side. You wanted to wash them first, rid them of last night’s events before you had to feel their sensation on your body again. You shivered at the thought, trying hard not to remember the sound your father made when he-
You shook your head, desperately attempting to stop thinking about it. How could you though? Distractions. That’s how. You grabbed the second bag, a duffel bag you used to use for overnight stays. The contents of this bag were a little more mixed. You found your toiletries, which you placed in the bathroom. Next was your notebooks. You used them to pretty much scribble in and found it interesting that Yaga chose to pack them. On the desk they go.
At the bottom of the bag, you lingered on a photo frame. The frame held three pictures. The first on the left was from one of your birthdays. You and Yuji sat at the your family’s table, eyeing a huge cake that had eleven candles on it. You remember he got so sick after eating three slices of cake that night that he had to miss class for a whole week. His grandfather was really mad at your dad for allowing him to eat that much cake. You had been in the same class then and you blabbed to everyone about what happened. When Yuji returned, everyone teased him about it but he just laughed with them.
The middle frame was Choso, Yuji and yourself. You were too young to remember when the picture was taken but you couldn’t have been older than three. You were at the park, specifically the sandbox. You were wearing a bright yellow bucket hat with a matching shirt and jean overalls. You proudly held up a bucket and shovel, smiling widely. Next to you, on either side, were Yuji and Choso. They wore opposite outfits, Yuji in jean shorts and a light tan shirt on your right and Choso in a blue shirt with tan pants to your left. Yuji was filling up another bucket with sand and Choso was watching him. Sitting in front of you three was a poorly built sand castle that looked to be collapsing as the photo was taken.
The last photo on the right was you and your parents at your junior high graduation, just a few months ago. Seeing them now, you were extremely aware of how tired they looked. Their faces were slightly more wrinkly than you remembered, worn down by the years they had lived, weathered by years of love for one another and the life they created. The life you thought they lived…
Their hands rested on each of your shoulders, sweet smiles on both of their faces. Your mom was leaning forward with one hand on your shoulder and one across your back, although your body hid it. She had squeezed you tighter then than she had in years. Your father looked a bit more stiff but still had his hand on your shoulder. He was always more uptight about pictures. You were right in the center of them both, smiling brightly while clutching the tube that contained your certificate.
Yuji had graduated alongside you so Choso was there as well. He had taken the picture while Yuji had been busy taking a picture with a girl from his class. Choso and Yuji had gifted you a small bouquet as a gift, as did your parents, which were tucked in your elbows. You hadn’t known they were gifting you anything so you later bought some stationary and a small cake as thanks.
You hadn’t realized you were crying until one of the teardrops landed on the picture, slightly warping the picture underneath the glass. Staring at it blankly until the tears blurred your vision and then, you just let it all out.
All of the pain of the last day hit like a truck. You wept, wept until your breathing became labored. You leaned forward and clutched the frame to your chest, crying so hard your chest began to ache. You thought of your friends, your parents and mourned the loss of your normal life. Where did you go from here? You didn’t even know what a jujutsu sorcerer is or why you’d been roped into all this. Why were you at a high school? Who is Masamichi Yaga and why did he bring you here? What was your father hiding?
You heard a yell from outside your room. You were slightly relieved that there were other people in the dorms and all of this wasn’t some giant facade. There were actually other students here. You couldn’t make out the word that was said but soon, you heard a murmur of other voices. You stood, walking towards the entrance to your room. As you grew closer, the words started to form and your heard a male voice a reprimanding “be more positive” and a “what a pain” in response.
Opening the door and looking out, you were greeted by the backsides of three males and when they turned to look at you, you almost broke down again seeing Yuji staring right at you alongside two others you didn’t recognize.
“Yuji.” You breathed out, almost a whisper, not believing he was here. Everything slowed as you ran to him. Wrapping your arms around him, you were surrounded by his scent, his warmth and his voice as he asked a question.
“Y/N, what are you doing here?”

Summary
You and Choso swear a blood oath to protect you and keep you happy as children. What you and Choso don’t know is that you accidentally made a binding vow due to Choso’s cursed body. Upon learning of this, you take advantage of his “blood oath” to you.
Slight AU where Choso is a Jujutsu Tech student along with Yuji and everyone. Choso was resurrected shortly before Yuji was born because Kenjaku, as Kaori, thought Yuji could benefit from a sibling. Since Kaori had a limited amount of time before Yuji was born and her resources were limited, Choso was accidentally born into a child-aged body instead of a fully grown body in the show. Kaori adapted to this change and convinced Jin Itadori to “adopt” Choso by introducing him as a orphaned family member of hers. We’ll just all be delusional and pretend Wasuke Itadori was left with Choso and Yuji.
*Kechizu and Eso are never revived as Kenjaku had no use for them at that time and was frustrated that Choso’s birth was a “failure” in her eyes.

Chapter 1: Confusion
You waited patiently for your best friend, Yuji Itadori, outside of the Occult Club classroom, rocking back and forth on the heels and toes of your shoes. You did this every day, your own club normally getting out a bit sooner than Yuji’s. You didn’t mind though, it gave you a bit of extra time to take care of any after-school business and say goodbye to your classmates. Yuji was normally done by the time you finished saying goodbye to everyone. Today, he was not.
Yuji’s older brother, Choso, was two grades above you. He would usually wait with you. However, Choso was already at the hospital with his and Yuji’s Grandfather, Wasuke Itadori. The school had granted him leave from club duties as long as he was caring for their guardian.
This had been happening the previous school year as well, right when their Grandpa’s health started declining. You and Yuji had been in Junior High when this happened whereas Choso was already attending High School. The school had been surprisingly accommodating to the Itadori family, much to Wasuke’s dismay. All he wanted was for the boys to enjoy their youth, never one for their doting.
Choso, on the other hand, was all about doting. You remember when you were children, you had fallen off of the jungle gym near your house. You scraped your hands pretty bad, blood pooling in your palms. You had cried and cried while Yuji and Choso tried desperately to calm you down. This was the first time your parents had allowed you all to go to the park unsupervised and they didn’t want to worry your parents.
Choso had done the most, putting on a brave face. He had pretended to defeat the playground before exclaiming, “No one hurts my family!” When he had wacked his toy sword against the metal structure enough to make you laugh, he told both you and Yuji that he would protect you both, no matter what. Yuji had smiled brightly, vowing to also protect you. You know now that he was just imitating his older brother but Choso had actually meant it.
Choso had held up his hand, a bit of blood trickling down his wrist. “Oops.” He had said, shrugging. “I must have held my sword a little too tight.” You laughed and said something about matching but Choso had taken your hand, gripping it tightly. “I swear I’ll protect you and make you happy, Y/N. Nobody hurts my family.” Yuji had piped up too, reiterating his brother’s sentiment. You all smiled for the rest of the day, Choso playing protector on the playground with you guys until it was time to go home.
You were brought out of your thoughts by the student council president storming down the hall. He gave you a curt nod of acknowledgment, you bowed slightly in response as he slammed open the classroom door next to you and began yelling.
“OCCULT RESEARCH CLUB!” He yelled, pushing his glasses further up his nose as if it was an intimidation tactic. After some ruckus in the classroom, Coach Takagi joined them and after some more yelling, Yuji, followed by everyone inside made their way down the hallway. Yuji yelled for you to follow. You had no clue what was happening but you figured it had something to do with Coach Takagi harassing Yuji to join the Track and Field team.
When you all arrived at the field, the whole team gathered around as Coach Takagi explained that he and Yuji would be competing. Yuji was competing to be in the Occult Club while Takagi was competing for Yuji to join Track and Field. Rather quickly, the crowd grew and watched as Yuji absolutely decimated Coach Takagi, winning the bet and was allowed to stay with the Occult Club. The look on Coach Takagi’s face caused a lot of students to laugh and take out their phones for pictures.
Yuji had a brief conversation with his Occult Club members before he noticed the time. “Y/N! We need to go!” He called to you as he ran to grab his bag from where he threw it before the throwing competition. He briskly jogged towards you, joining you as you both started to walk off campus. As you both walked out of the crowd, you noticed someone out of the corner of your eye.
Looking over, you met eyes with a kid, probably around your guys’ age. He had black spiky hair and was wearing a nice button up and slacks. He was pretty cute and looked a bit like Choso, his hair spiky the same way Choso’s was when he put it up. However, the sour expression he wore definitely turned you off of thinking he was cute. You wondered why he was scowling at you and Yuji but you just brushed it off, assuming he smelt something rancid or remembered something annoying.
At the gate, Yuji turned to you and clasped his hands together. “Would you mind walking home with another friend today? I’m running pretty late because of Coach so I really need to get home before going to the hospital.” He pleaded. Whenever Yuji wanted something from you, he pouted and looked at you with huge eyes. He started doing this when it worked once. It’s never worked since.
“Only because I respect your Grandfather.” You rolled your eyes. “I’m fine walking home alone today. But you better not be late.” Your pink-haired friend said a quick thank you before he fake saluted and took off. You heard someone call for him to wait and you looked to see the scowling boy running after Yuji. You thought it was super weird but it was almost dinner time at home so you started walking. He was probably just a fan of Yuji’s after that display with Coach Takagi.
Once home, your parents greeted you. Dinner wasn’t quite done yet so you went to your room before grabbing some clothes and a towel for a bath. Letting your parents know you were taking a bath, they told you that they had already ran a bath for you. Thanking them, you hurried to the bathroom so you could be done before dinner.
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
After dinner, you had promised some friend’s in your club you would check out a CD they recommended. Popping it into your stereo, you played it as you prepared to start your homework. The first track was pretty good and you actually felt your head bobbing along with the catchy melody. You opened your bag and looked at the assortment of notebooks and textbooks inside. You always worked with your least favorite subject first before ending with your favorite. Pulling the math notebook from your bag, you decided to start with it.
The first few problems weren’t that difficult but you found yourself growing increasingly frustrated as they grew harder. Soon, you were angrily erasing your work for the third time, unsure of why this problem was so much harder than the rest. You desperately needed a break and stretched. Getting up, you gathered a water bottle you had on your desk before starting to head to the kitchen. You shot a quick text to Yuji to ask him about the homework, hoping he would answer soon and help you.
Heading down the hall, you hear your father talking to someone rather quickly. You can’t quite understand what he’s saying, partially because he’s talking so fast but also, he’s a little of out of your earshot. You walk further down the hall until you’re on the other side of the living room wall. “Please, I haven’t been active for years. I’ve done everything he wanted. Why is he doing this now? I have a family, a daughter. It’s been over fifteen years. I even suppressed his offspring’s cursed technique for 15 years. I allowed them to play with my daughter, putting her in danger her whole life. Why now?”
His words rang through your head. What is he talking about? Active in what? Cursed technique? Your heart started to pound in your chest. Was your father in a gang? You were about to peek around the corner when another voice caused you to stop. His words echoed through you, the overwhelming dread halting you.
“I’m just fulfilling a favor I owed him. He didn’t give any more details.” It spoke.
A million questions raced through your head, your heart beating so hard you thought it might explode. ‘Why am I so afraid?’ You wondered, clutching desperately at your chest to try and slow your heartbeat. Your heart was pounding painfully now, your body crying out for you to run. But from what?
After those words, a silence filled the space. You heard your father quietly sniffling. Was he crying? He was pleading, “please.” He cried, over and over until he was cut off by an unpleasant ripping sound. Your father screamed followed by a wet slosh and a splash. Running into the living room, you entire world shattered as you watched your father explode at the hands of a blue-haired man.
Your own scream alerted him to your presence and he whipped his head towards you. There were three lines of stitches on his face and on his neck. Other lines of stitching lined his body and his eyes were two different colors. He smiled maniacally, his face contorted in a sick display of pleasure. Did he enjoy what he just did?
Standing tall, he started to walk towards you but before he could close the distance, you both heard a car door close outside of your house. Both of you looked at the front door and time froze. This might be your only chance to not end up like your father. You gripped your phone and darted towards the front door, hoping whoever was here could help you. If they couldn’t, you’d at least have a chance to call authorities.
Throwing the door open, you practically flew out of the house and straight into someone. In an instant, you were shoved behind them as they entered your house to see what had you so frightened. You peered inside behind them and saw that the blue-haired man had disappeared, the only thing you could see inside was your father’s blood splattered against the wall. You forced yourself to look away, not being able to digest what happened just yet.
“What happened?” Asked the figure in the doorway. They turned around and you finally got a look at the man who possibly saved you. At the very least, he scared away your father’s murderer. He was big, his athletic frame donned with a dark tracksuit. His hair was short and spiky with the sides shaved. You couldn’t tell if he was even looking at you due to the sunglasses he wore. His facial features were sharp yet obviously aging a bit and he had some of facial hair.
You tried to find the words but only managed to ask, “Is my father dead?” His body relaxed a bit as he placed a hand on your shoulder. “Yes, it seems as if your mother was also involved. You have my deepest sympathy, your father was a good man.” Your body felt paralyzed. Your parents were dead. Your mother was killed while you sat in your room. You were listening to music, unable to hear the atrocity happening in your house. You were frustrated about math as your family was being slaughtered.
The man in front of you was talking but you didn’t hear him. At some point, you felt your legs give out. The man tried to help you stand but gave up and carried you to the car he arrived in. Once inside, you slumped into the seat, unable to understand why this happened. What was that blue-haired man talking about? Why did he kill your father? Your mother?
You felt yourself drift off, your body and mind absolutely exhausted from what just happened. You just had to trust that the strange man who may or may not be there to help wouldn’t kill you as you slept.
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
You didn’t know what time it is when you woke up but when you open your eyes, you’re still in the car and it’s day again. “Good morning.” You look to the source of the greeting and see the man again. You nod in his direction before sitting all the way up and wiping the bit of drool at the corner of your mouth.
“Where are we?” You ask, not recognizing the passing surroundings. The man crossed his arms, “On the way to Tokyo.” He grunted. “Sorry, I never got the chance to introduce myself. I’m Masamichi Yaga, an old friend of your father’s”
“He never mentioned you.” You retort, a little upset about him bringing up your recently deceased father. You quickly glance at your phone, hoping to catch the time but a blank display greets you. Your phone must have died. You slightly curse yourself for not plugging it in when you got home but how were you supposed to know that you wouldn’t have access to a phone charger.
“It’s 7:13.” Yaga told you. “And it’s no surprise he didn’t mention me. He had a problem with my, um, lifestyle.” You really didn’t have the energy to deal with his explanations but you needed an answer. “What lifestyle? You ask.
“I’ll try to keep this short as I’ll give you a full explanation later, when we arrive in Tokyo. I am a Jujutsu Sorcerer.” Yaga paused and pushed his sunglasses up on his nose, giving you the perfect opportunity to ask, “Jujutsu?” He nodded.
“I’m taking you to my school, Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School. I’m the principal and a long time ago, I made a promise to look after you in case something happened to your father.” Your head was spinning. So he did really know your dad, but how? And a school? What is this guy after?
“Why are we just now leaving Sendai? Wasn’t my family attacked last night?” You asked. Tokyo was about four hours from Sendai City, if you had left last night, you’d already be in Tokyo. “There was another situation I had to attend to regarding one of my students. I also had to make arrangements to clean up your house. I grabbed you some clothes and other essentials, I wasn’t sure what all you would’ve wanted but you wouldn’t wake up when we tried.”
“So my family…” You swallowed before asking, “they’re really gone?” Yaga took a moment to respond and when he did, he was quiet.
“Yes.”
