fictional facts #1 (spoilers, duh)

[these are basically facts that are not exactly stated in films or series but i find interesting and/or extremely important]

movie/series name/s: Thor [2011], the avengers [2012], Thor the dark world [2013], Thor ragnarok [2017], avengers infinity war [2018],(he also has been casted for avengers endgame set to come out this year [2019]) 

character/s: loki

now in all of these movies loki is known as thor's little brother. the god of mischief and lies. in Thor [2011] it is shown that loki is in fact the adopted brother to thor. and that rather than being odinson he is laufeyson. he argues with his father [odin] over the duration of all of the movies, and there relationship was never as stable as it could be, but in thor ragnarok when odin passes on he calls thor and loki “my sons” like one final message that he does in fact consider loki his son. but that's not the important part i want to highlight. i want to mention how loki tries to take over midgard/earth. were loki fought the  avengers and almost got himself killed, after killing many other people. it has been made known by marvel that loki himself was under mind control when he did this and that he had no control over his actions because thanos had control of him. as important as that is, it’s also not the point im trying to make.

through all of this chaos becoming a murderer finding out he’s adopted and almost dying a few times to being imprisoned on asgard. how old was he? in asgardian years loki [in the movies] is 1,070 years old. now you may think that he has lived a full enough life and although he has done these crimes he is an adult. you’d be wrong. asgardians live for roughly 5,100 years. loki still had 4,030 years left of his life to live, now you might be thinking well he really isn't that old is he? well let's look at thors age. in the movies thor tells people that he is 1,500 years old. so thor is most definitely older than loki is. if we go through the math in earth/midgardian years thor is 30! but wait there's more. thor is only 30 in infinity war. let's go back to when loki tried to take over the world. thor was around 23 still pretty young but not that bad. well in infinity war loki is only 21!!!! some of you might have done the math for this in your head, but i have to say loki ages slightly different because he's not technically from asgard. if he was from asgard when he tried to take over earth he would have been 14, but he is from jotunheim so loki was about...

15-16  years old, when everything in his life began to fall apart. to me that's heartbreaking.
