Which got me wanting to listen to this artist again for the first time in well over a decade.

She sounds like an indie Sara Bareilles, which was very much my music taste at 23-24. I wanted to be so twee and cute, but I was just a hot mess with a big ol' crush on Zooey Deschanel and a boy who lived about 3 hours away 😅

I doubt that anyone on my socials cares, but maybe someone here does, so here I am. I am three months late with this info but freaking out in the best way, because CAMERON CROWE IS RELEASING A MEMOIR on October 28.

He only wrote and directed my all-time favorite movie, Elizabethtown, along with other personal favorites including Almost Famous and Say Anything. Not to mention Jerry Maguire and Singles and yes I know there's many more.

I'm pre-ordering from one of my many local indie bookstores the next time I'm in.

Grief is the Thing With Feathers by Max Porter - my review

"Moving on, as a concept, is for stupid people, because any sensible person knows grief is a long-term project. I refuse to rush. The pain that is thrust upon us let no man slow or speed or fix."

A poem of a novel. It hardly seems accurate to sum up this book as a novel. It's a treatise on grief, which, to paraphrase something Crow says, does not look like moving on but is really about eventually not being hopeless.

I almost never re-read a book, but this one might deserve an annual revisit. it's a new favorite.

I recommend at least perusing Hughes's Crow poems to get a better understanding.

Perrier's Bounty is freaking hilarious. So weird and entertaining. Much more fun to watch than Intermission, which to me was just kind of a hot mess that did have its funny moments but not enough Cillian.

Patchy beard Cillian is not bad to look at for most of 88 minutes. Is it me or did they make his eyes extra blue in this film?

I also did a double take seeing Brendan Coyle (whom I only knew prior from Downton Abbey) as a scruffy-looking dog handler 😅

The scene where Michael is trying to fall asleep and Jim keeps rambling ... and the eulogy for the dogs ... 💀
