Present Mic Meets a Fan

So this is what happens when I read XReaders in the MHA fandom... I come up with OCs. Yup. 

Her name is Akasuki Takahashi, aka Nightingale. She is a Pro-Support-Hero who is an empathic healer. Because of her quirk, she has underdeveloped vocal cords that are next to useless and it’s painful to talk normally. 

Her ability: To switch conditions with someone through physical touch, then she regenerates on her own but it takes away her stamina in the result.

What I’ll Miss The Most -WIP

For those moments that loneliness decides to sucker punch me and try to knock me down or keep me up at night or make me want to cry out like my knee was being assaulted; I’ll remember this. That feeling of being safe and warm. Holding him in my arms, never letting him go. Being his pillow, his comfort... Being what I knew how to be for his sake. I’ll miss these moments... but they will give me strength.

Hey to Tumblr and any followers that see this.  I know this site is going up in flames with the whole nsfw ban, but hear me out.  This site was a welcomed and often visited spot of distraction for me. For when I wanted to mentally check out for a couple minutes to a couple hours, my dash had plenty for me to make me grin for a while.

I lost my husband this past October and I have been trudging through widow-duties for the last month and a half. The grief and guilt I feel is due to surviving a suicide I didn’t see coming, praying for a time machine so I could say the right things and do right by my husband. Unfortunately, real life doesn’t have a RESET button, as much as I’d wished there was. 

But my story isn’t over yet. I have no idea what my future has in store for me, but I know I’m not alone in my struggles. I have friends and family that are there for me and give me shelter when I need it.

I also know I am one of the lucky ones who have such a support system. Others aren’t so fortunate. So I wanted to share this image and hopefully it can spread at least a little bit; to find someone who needs to see it. 

To those out there who see this, stay determined. You’ll get through it, just as I’m getting through mine; so we can be tired together. I believe in you.

Mourning - By Leucoray

Kasnas Orechop was the very first Pathfinder I made with my late husband’s help.  So, I thought it appropriate that I express my grief through her.

Kasnas met Brunks in Korvosa and befriended him through a game of darts in a tavern. She had a common enemy with Brunsk and together they confronted the man responsible for their miseries.  Over the years, their friendship blossomed to a clumsy romance. 

Brunsk, being an Ulfen, struggled with the common language but he was clever enough to pick up on context most of the time. Kasnas and Brunsk just got each other regardless. They just simply agreed that they could not imagine each other’s lives without the other, so Kasnas agreed to follow Brunsk back to the land of the Lonnorne Kings. Along the way, Brunsk proposed marriage to Kasnas officially, armband and all. Kasnas was overjoyed but attempted to keep her cool. Oh who are we kidding, she’s a dwarf, she is genetically incapable of chill.  Happily, they made their way to the far north, where Kasnas had some major adjustments to make. Being from the far south, Kasnas struggled with the concept of cold for a while. 

A couple of years later, it was established that Brunsk was to assume a high-class estate as a Lord, then a King. Kasnas, who grew up poor and a pickpocket, again had to adapt to a somewhat softer lifestyle while still learning the local language. But she was happy.  Soon, she became pregnant with their firstborn Kevran. She was proud of how clever her boy was. She had her father’s build and her wit it seemed. When Kevran was ten years old, Kasnas became pregnant again with her daughter Breya.  

Kevran grew up to be an adventurer, Breya grew up to be a pirate High Seas Merchant. Kasnas could not be more content in her life. She had a doting and loving husband, a successful family... Then something awful happened. Brunsk, Kevran and Breya all fell and now her family is lost. She is in a land that was not originally her own and she must figure out how to march forward. For now... she mourns.

1. Monstersona: Me as a jackrabbit, which is a mythical creature so I thought it’d count.

2. Werewolf: I felt to try the more “classical” approach to a werewolf, from the silver screen days. I’m a bit of a nerd like that.
