I'm working a really big project for Break!! RPG and wanted to share some of my favorite mugs so far. This is easily one of the bigger things I've done- over THIRTY different portraits of the setting's varied fantastical species. I'm having a great time of it. When it's done, these will all be free to download on itch.io!

Yall I am going to be running a Lancer campaign soon and am in the market for a voice actress that sounds similar to Judy from CP2077 or Sombra from Overwatch to do combat barks and short lines-- you will be paid whatever your rates are! I'd love a demo reel in the comments!

Finally running Lancer, wanted to draw the party's pilots. And yeah, before anyone says anything, Sierra's player hasn't technically *drawn* her lancer yet, and I am down horrendous for Desscaras from Ichi the Witch, so consider her a placeholder

The regular trooper/marine rules comes first, as that's the core of the system I want to make, but I have a deep love for the Spartan IVs, and how they're pulled from the rank and file just like the ODSTs are. For players who want a less cannon fodder/osr/die-in-three-shots kind of experience, I'm keen to include mechanical variants that help you play as a Spartan IV from the POV of a regular soldier. That is to say, a S-IV that feels exceptionally lethal with all the regular equipment and trappings the regular troops can pick up and use (Gen 2 MJOLNIR armor withstanding)

So I had the first official playtest of the UNSC ttrpg yesterday! Here's a couple screenshots from the sesh, wanted to just recount a couple things.
First, when you drop to 0HP, you roll on a Wounds table. The higher the number you roll, the worse your injury is, going from good, to bad, to worse, to instant death. You can keep fighting at 0HP, but every time you take damage, you roll again on that table, adding +1 on the result. The wounds are all varied enough, and realistically stack horrifically together so that you have the potential to really be a dead man walking after a couple rough rolls on it, but one of our players rolled not once, not twice, but five times on the table that night (between his own character and an npc squaddie) and managed to, each time, between different modifiers, roll "being concussed" FOUR TIMES. So, I'll have to make some rules for repeat offenders on the list. Something like temporarily removing 1 point from your strength, or tech, or something like that, because I'm not sure how one would stack multiple concussions, lol
You can kind of see one of the firefights play out in the second screenshot- Echo Squad engages a grunt fireteam in the streets, caught between a rock and a hard place with the Jackal Snipers. Damages and weapons felt good- which is important, given the universe it's set in- but you know, three skirmishes is hardly enough evidence. They'll get to the AA gun next time, so hoping to have more data, but by and large, the weapons feel good, the zone-to-zone movement feels solid, and each unit having a universal 2 AP (Action Points) to spend doing things during their turn helped easily communicate what could and couldn't be done. No bonus actions, reactions, whatever. If you have AP left, you can almost certainly do a thing.
Hope it's a fun preview, and hoping to share even more soon! Especially a more complete breakdown once they're finished with the scenario!

Didn't really expect my halo-marines ttrpg stuff to garner as much attention as it did, so I'm honestly really flattered. And motivated, if nothing else, because it means someone else wants that too!
I have a playtest tomorrow night where the squad needs to disable an AA cannon entrenched in a ruined city in Harvest (the assault to retake the planet begins) so hopefully it'll help me iron out any issues or details and get a finished thing out there faster.

I'll be honest, having it out of a jumbled one-note doc spread into two dozen different tables and into mildly coherent pages is really exciting. Makes it feel less like brain rot and more like an actual game!

Today is the last day to pledge and get these charms at a discount before you can only get them in person at shows! Please stop by and check them out if you haven't already, it's genuinely your last chance! Thanks to all who've pledged so far to make them a reality!
Do *not* dilly-dally, these little goobers will only be available to help fund for a couple weeks before you will *have* to come visit me in person to buy them at shows. And I would not wish traveling to the midwest on my worst enemy people, please, spare yourselves and just follow the k/ckstarter, thank you
