Everyone else: dear god Castiel is heavenly wrath personified. He is filled with bloodlust and has killed more of his brethren than any angel who came before him. He is the most deadliest soldier heaven has ever produced, even when his grace has been stripped from him and he is left as nothing but a human. Castiel watches as Dean freaks out. Dean lost his wedding ring, which he usually keeps on a cord around his neck so it doesn’t get lost on a hunt. Castiel told him to check the blankets, but Dean didn’t hear him. He repeats himself, and Dean says that it wasn’t there. Of course, it is exactly where he said, and Cas laughs a little bit as Dean grumbles.

western fem destiel au where deanna is a hunter who ends up in cas' town working a vengeful spirit case. cas knows she isn't the wandering sheriff she claims to be but doesn't trust her. cas herself is in an arranged marriage with mick davies, except she and mick have been planning for the opportunity for cas to steal a horse and go on the run.

the night of their plan arrives and cas steals a black mare from the stable before riding off into the night. not far away, deanna is getting drunk to celebrate a case taken care of. in the morning she arrives in the stables to take baby and get on the move again...

except baby has been stolen.

so cas is on the run searching for a new life, and deanna is unknowingly hunting cas down to get her horse back. and wouldn't it be crazy if despite their rough meeting, they ended up sticking together for a bit longer and perhaps fell in love? :)

1. Cas is the best person for Dean but Dean is not the best person for Cas. Destiel is popular only because the show is from Dean's perspective and because of what Castiel did for Dean. Whatever Dean did for Cas he did only because he needs Cas in his life and he barely can live without him.
