🥀 Day 5

"Well, at least I'm still alive, right?" you said, trying to comfort Kaiser, who was sitting next to you with the saddest aura ever.

The nurse finally came in, stared at you in confusion, and approached both of you.

"Again? In the emergency room?" she asked, you could do nothing but nod, "What now?"

"Allergic reaction. So crazy, who would have thought I could be allergic to a particular dried fruit that is only grown in one village in Greece? Right?" you said, trying to sound funny, but the sore throat made it sound more painful than anything else.

"OK, come with me, again," the nurse said as she took you to another room, giving Kaiser a dirty look.

How did this happen anyway?

After the last tattoo session, you finished one of your best masterpieces. The tattoo ended up being pretty amazing, and you weren't the only one who thought so, Kaiser couldn't stop complimenting you and your tattoo. Of course, that piece of art wasn't your only happiness, as you and Kaiser finally got to go on a date.

However, before the date began, Kaiser once again asked your uncle for permission to take you out. Maybe this time it was because he was no longer a customer, or because your uncle felt empathy for Kaiser, or maybe because of the expensive watch Kaiser had bought for your uncle; but he accepted. You both fled before your uncle could change his mind.

The two of you could finally be together. No exams, no work, just the two of you. What you didn't expect was that everything would go wrong.

First of all, the really luxurious limousine that Kaiser had hired broke down. That wasn't too bad, as Kaiser had only hired it to get to the place he wanted earlier. Finally, they arrived at the first place of the date, which was a really nice picnic with some of their favourite books. It would have been great if it hadn't started raining. At least you two were able to save the books.

But it didn't stop there. He took you to the next stop, which was ice skating. Unfortunately, when you got there and were teaching Kaiser how to do it, some hyperactive kid went too fast and hit you, causing you to hit your head on the ice. So basically you were knocked out for a few seconds, and that ended with you going to the emergency room to make sure you were okay without any side effects. Luckily, it wasn't anything serious, so they let you go and kept the date.

The cherry on top? For dinner, Kaiser took you to the most expensive restaurant you've ever been to. Everything was going well until you found out that you were somehow allergic to one of the weirdest things the chef used. So you were checked twice in less than 3 hours to see if you were physiologically OK.

When your second check routine was over without a hitch, you returned to the waiting room and approached Kaiser. He was slumped in his chair, but fortunately his cap hid his frustration.

"Shall we go?" you asked him in a gentle tone.

He got up, took your hand and left. The two of you walked in silence to your apartment, you didn't know what to say to make him feel better and he was too mad to even talk. Once outside of your home, you stared at Kaiser, who had a sad expression on his face, and suddenly his stomach growled and demanded food.

"Just kill me," Kaiser admitted, feeling defeated by everything.

You chuckled.

"Come with me, I'll see what you can eat," you opened the door of the building where your apartment was and followed you inside.

Once inside your small but cosy apartment, you made him sit down in the living room and went into the kitchen. A few minutes later you returned with a plate of veggie sandwiches. You sat down next to him.

"Don't be sad, I really had fun with everything you planned," you said, comforting him.

He just picked up the sandwich, took a bite and stared at you.

"It's not that bad." Kaiser admitted, "Your lame veggie sandwich, I mean, the date went horribly. I really expected the date to end differently, not with me eating this."

You approached him.

"Hey the date hasn't ended yet, we can still turn it into something wonderful" you said confidently.

Kaiser stared at you curiously, wondering what you could do to turn this awful moment into at least a decent one. You stroked his hair, leaned over and gave him a soft kiss on the forehead, then on the cheek and finally on the lips.

"Better?" you asked him, raising an eyebrow.

He left the sandwich on the plate and gave you all his attention.

"You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this," Kaiser confessed in an enthusiastic tone, as if he were a fan who had just met his idol, "But… I bet you can do better, Liebling," he said in a cocky tone.

"Trust me, I can" you answered in the same tone

🥀 Day 4

"I don't know what to do with your uncle anymore. I asked him, I begged him, do you know how humiliating that was?" Kaiser said, covering his face in embarrassment.

You chuckled.

When you finally accepted the Emperor's request, he was on cloud nine. But you were there to remind him that life would never be easy for him. After his session, you casually told him that you couldn't go on a date with him until after the sessions, as his uncle has a rule about not dating costumers.

The moment you told him, you could see his soul leaving his body. How could he have been so unlucky? From that day on, whenever he was free, he would visit the studio and ask your uncle.

“Why does it even exist that stupid norm?” he asked confused

"Well... there was a girl who fell in love with a client, they started dating but then she found out he was cheating on her. So in the end, while he was in a tattoo session, the girl just tattooed him with the quote 'useless pig' and we almost got into legal trouble," you admitted, still remembering those frustrating days.

“Oh, it kinda of makes sense” Kaiser admitted, nodding “Still, what shall I do?”

"Maybe just talk honestly, or you could just wait until the last session," you said indifferently as you worked on a detail of the tattoo.

You really hoped he would take the second choice, because you had your final exams this month and you needed to study. Fortunately, his reading on analysing people must have helped him, because he started to rethink everything.

"Yeah, I mean I've been waiting for almost 4 months, it's not so bad to wait another one," he said, noting that he had a match in the next two weeks so the coach would probably add more training sessions.

You smiled at him.

"Well, even if it takes that long, we can talk about it. What do you want to do?" you asked him with a smile, excited just to think about having a date "Maybe... we could do something like arcade? or reading? Oh, I know a reading cafe, you would love it".

Kaiser titled his head, confused.

“Liebling, what are you even saying? I have already planned it” he said firmly

“What?”

He nodded.

"I've got everything planned after the first date, and it's going to be so great that you'll regret not taking me on sooner," Kaiser added proudly.

"Well, tell me how much it cost, and I will pay you half. You know?" you said.

"Have you only gone out with broke guys?" he said, raising an eyebrow, "I'm the one who asked you out, then I'll be the one who invites you to everything".

"Aww, really?" you softened to this comment.

"Yes, and I doubt you would even have the money to pay me half of it," he said in a teasing tone.

You rolled your eyes.

“Such a gentleman you are, in your own way” you said to give a quick look to the clock and see it was already striking 8PM “Oh wow, it’s already time to close the shop

Kaiser stared at the clock.

"It's really late, we should end the session here so you can get home safely," he added as he stood up and helped you tidy up.

Once everything was cleaned up, you both left the studio. You turned off the lights and closed the door to stare at Kaiser.

"So I guess this is goodbye," Kaiser said, still staring at you. His gaze always softened when he stared at you.

"Just one more session, it's not that much," you said, trying to comfort Kaiser.

"Yes, I can already see you thanking me for giving you the best date ever." he said with his eyes closed as if he could imagine that scenario, you hit him softly

"We'll see," you said, coughing softly. The low temperature made your throat a bit sore. Before you could cover your throat with your coat, Kaiser was already wrapping his scarf around your neck, "Thanks… but what about you?"

"Can't you ever thank me and stop asking me? It's nothing, I live near this place, you have a longer walk," he said while tying up your scarf as if you were a child "Also... I won't be able to visit you until the next appointment either, I have work to do," Kaiser admitted while thinking about how he had to take a flight to play a match.

You shook your head to show that you were not bothered.

"Don't worry, we'll meet in a month and I'll give you the scarf that day," you added firmly, while touching the scarf "I'll even wash it."

"You'd better, it's Cashemire." he replied in a serious tone "Anyways, after the next and last session, I will take you in the date. You don't have to do anything, just be ready and pretty." Having said that, Kaiser left you.

But as always, after five steps, Kaiser turned to look at you who were leaving the studio. He stared at you until you faded into the distance. Once you were gone, Kaiser started walking again, thinking about how he really couldn't wait for the date to come.

"Kaiser? What are you doing here? We have a meeting in 15 minutes," you asked the tall figure walking in front of you, recognisable only by the old cap he always wore to the meetings.

This time you weren't in the studio, but on a random street in Berlin. It was Saturday, and your uncle had given you the morning off with a long list of chores to do.

His hair had changed, the wild and long blonde hair had become short with two long rat tails. The lower part and the strands were dyed blue.

"Don't call my name, and I could ask you the same... What are you doing here?" Kaiser asked to approach you.

"Well, some chores, but hey, look what I bought in the library," you said as you took a book out of one of your bags. "I bought it for you, I thought you might like it."

Kaiser took the book and stared at you. It was the first and only gift anyone had given him without second intentions.

"I don't really know how to react..." he admitted

"Well, most people say thank you" you said in a funny tone.

He rolled his eyes.

“I wasn’t talking about that, but that I also bought you something” Kaiser got from the bag he was holding a giant bouquet made from your favorite sweets

🥀 Day 2

"Are you a Bastard München fan?" you asked Kaiser during a break in the session.

He frowned at your question. You thought it was a normal question because he was wearing a team shirt.

"Well, I guess I can say I'm a bit of a fan," he admitted with a shrug, "Have you seen any of their matches?"

"I'm not a fan, so no, never. The only time I watch something of that is during the World Cup," you admitted.

It had been 3 weeks since the last session. Although you'd never admit it, you'd been counting the days until you'd see Kaiser again. But you weren't the only one, Kaiser, being the fool and loser that he was, had also been eagerly awaiting this day. Too bad today's training was too long, so he was unable to take a proper shower and dress up for you. So he entered your studio in his uniform, sweaty and with a messed-up haircut.

"It looks good on you," you admitted, unaware that Kaiser was blushing and trying to cover it up with his hand.

Like last time, he sat there whistling to the song. How could he act as if nothing had happened? When you told him to "shoot" his question, you didn't expect it to hit you like a real bullet. Obviously, you refused his request. The reason? You barely knew him, and you excused yourself by saying you had a busy schedule.

"Isn't it strange?" you finally asked him, "I mean, I rejected you..."

"Oh Liebling you didn't reject me. You rejected my plan, know the difference. You didn't even reject my plan, you said you couldn't because you were busy last month. Lucky for me, it's a new month, right?"

You couldn't keep a straight face at his sly comments.

"But be honest... Why did you turn it down? You said it was because you were overworked, but every time I passed by the studio you were eating your lame veggie sandwich or talking to your clients," Kaiser commented with a grin.

You put your hand to your heart and pretend to be offended by such accusations.

"Okay, first of all, veggie sandwiches cannot be lame. Secondly, I was really busy, apparently you just caught me on my break. And last but not least, we only met a few hours ago before you asked me that. I don't know anything about you, maybe you're a criminal," you said, trying to defend your poor excuse and the veggie sandwiches you used to make so lovingly.

"Oh, that could be so easily solved, Liebling. I am a Bastard München fan, as you can see, and my work might be related to that. My hometown is Berlin. I love crusty bread, dogs and winter. And in my spare time I take long showers, read, think about myself, and when I'm motivated I think about who I'd like to kill," he said unperturbed.

You just stopped doing everything to process all the information he gave to you.

"Well, I wasn't so wrong to think you were a criminal," you said, and took your job back.

"You're too beautiful to be killed, don't worry Liebling, my thoughts of you are anything but killing you," he said confidently, you giggled.

“Oh, how lucky I must be”

“You have no idea” he assured “What about you?”

"Well, as you can see, I work here. I love autumn, promenading and those mouse shaped sweets from the sweet shop. In my spare time I like to stay in my small but cosy apartment. And... we have just finished this session," you said as you stood up and stretched a little.

"You are really talented," Kaiser said smirking at you while admiring the new part of the tattoo

"Tell me something I don’t know. Come on, I have an another appointment in 5 minutes"

You escorted Kaiser to the exit, where he put his black cap and face mask back on. Before he left, he stared at you for a few seconds.

"Now that we know more about each other, would you like to go out with me? Come on Liebling, you know the best way to get to know another person is to go out, you can't expect to know me in just an hour" Kaiser asked as he opened the door

How could he be so convincing? Maybe you weren't sure about the date the last time, but today you really were. Still, you could be a bit of a teaser, and maybe you wanted to see if Kaiser was really interested in you.

"The last time you asked me, you were dressed as the owner of five clubs, and today you ask me out dress like that. Come on, where is this spoilt brat? Michael Kaiser, you can do better," you admitted, giving him a bold look.

He chuckled under his mask.

"You really do have high standards, don't you? Don't worry Liebling, next time you won't have any excuse to refuse me. Trust me".

🥀 Day 1

"Are you sure you can do this? You seem pretty young to be doing tattoos," you gave Kaiser the deadliest look, making him giggle like a teenage girl trying to attract the attention of the person who likes her.

You decided to continue with all the preparations, ignoring this pertinent question. Kaiser was a bitch, from now on you would have to ask him more formally, or he would find a way to give it back to you.

"For your information, I'm only a year older. However, I'm old enough for you to show me some respect, spoilt brat," you said in a funny tone.

"Whatever you want, Liebling," he replied, staring at you, hypnotised by the way you worked on his tattoo with such grace and precision.

That famous Monday at 4PM, Kaiser, being the good German that he was, arrived at the studio five minutes early. His excuse was that he had a lot to do and the sooner you could do it the better, his truth was that he wanted to see you again as soon as possible.

Kaiser wasn't the type to think about relationships, he always had better things to worry about. But now that he was considered a German wunderkind, he lived a quiet life, waiting for a good offer from a famous and prestigious club. He would wake up, take a shower, look in the mirror and go to training. Then he would have a meal, time to relax and personal training.

He practically had a life now that he couldn't have dreamed of a few years ago, and even though he wasn't on the best of terms with his teammates, they could still make small talk. Being the teenagers they were, the subject of romantic relationships always came up, and as always, Kaiser just kept quiet, having little experience in that area. Good for him, he never worried about it, he knew he would know when the time came.

But he never expected it to happened when he walked into the tattoo studio which was the closest to his apartment. When he saw you, he didn’t find you relevant at all. However, the way you looked at him and answered him in such a witty tone made him realise that you could be his potential partner.

He had just 5 appointments to see if you could be someone he could see his future with, or if it was just something he made up in his head. The requirements were: pretty, smart and someone who could love him.

Kaiser stared at you, the way you frowned and the way you stuck out your tongue to concentrate. You were pretty, not in the way that makes people turn around the first time they see you. You were pretty in a way that the more he saw you, the more he was captivated. So yes, he was sure you had ticked the first box. Now he had to tick the other two boxes.

"Have you ever read Freud?" Kaiser asked directly, without beating around the bush. You stared at him, blinked twice in surprise at the question.

"Mhm... kinda, I guess you are a Freud fan," you said indifferently and went on with your work.

"Oh, not a fan of Freud because you're not smart enough to read him, Liebling?" he said, trying to embarrass you. You chuckled in reply.

"You wish, it's just not my type of writer. I'm more into depressed writers," you confessed, staring at him for his reaction, "What can I say? I am a masochist"

Kaiser leaned closer.

"Well, I highly recommend you read more about Freud, he is the father of psychoanalysis," he said, still staring at you. You looked at him for a moment before continuing with the tattoo.

“I know, I read Freud’s book The interpretation of dreams. However, I don’t know, he doesn’t convinced me as a writer” you admitted while shrugging your shoulders “But hey, at least he always kept things psych-edelic” you laughed at your own pun

Kaiser skipped a heartbeat. Did you just make such a bad pun? He was disgusted by such a lame joke, but he was even more disgusted that he laughed with you.

"Okay, we just finished the first session. Opinions?" you said as you started to tidy up and get everything ready for the next client.

Kaiser just stared at his hand, satisfied with how everything was going. Not just with the tattoo, but with you.

"Pretty great, but I might have a couple of suggestions," Kaiser said, just to have a bit of fun with you.

“Shoot” you arched an eyebrow, curious

He stood up and looked at you, sure of one thing.

“You should totally go out with me”

🥀 Day 0

“Are you sure you want to do this? You seem quite young”

You stared at the guy who was in front of you. He was a tall boy, with blonde hair and icy eyes piercing you.

It was your first day in charge of the tattoo studio. After your parents’ support and sacrifices of many banana peels, your uncle finally let you work in his tattoo studio this summer. During all the holidays you proved him how efficient and hard-working you were, leading him to let you be the manager during the beautiful date of Christmas Day.

Even if you knew this day was going to be a calm one, you thought you were prepared for anything: earthquakes, drunk people ready to make bad decisions, couples making choices they will regret… However, you weren't prepared for this cocky teenager demanding you to make him a tattoo that would cover from his hand to his neck.

“I have the money, shouldn't you just take it and obey me?” the blond guy said nonchalantly while taking from his right pocket money to pay for the tattoo

His attitude started to piss you off. Who was he to talk to you like that?

“I'm sorry if I don't want to go to jail or pay a fine for giving a tattoo to a spoiled brat that might be under 16,” you said indifferently while giving him a dirty look, trying to defend yourself

The boy chuckled at your response leaned closer to you and gave you his ID.

“Don’t worry Liebling” You took the ID to confirm his age. Surprisingly, today it was his birthday, turning 17 years old. You stared at him, now he was smirking, waiting for you to return his ID. “See? Do you have any other excuse for this spoiled brat?”

You sighed, took a pen and the notebook where your uncle wrote down all the appointments.

“The tattoo you want would take me five appointments. We can start the next Monday at 4PM. However, I'm not going to take your cash, I don't trust its origin, only credit. Deal?”

“Deal Liebling”

“Okay, you can leave now” you said, staring at him reluctant.

“Don’t you need to write down my name and surname next to the date? In case you would forget me,” the blonde boy said while putting on his black cap again

You giggled.

“Trust me… Sadly, I won’t be able to forget you” you said with a daring tone

“Just in case, my name is Michael Kaiser,” he said putting on his mask again while opening the door of the studio to exit “I can't wait for next Monday Liebling, I will be counting the hours for our next meeting~”

“Don’t even try it Kaiser, I’m not into spoilt brats”

He chuckled once again.

“We will see”

The Itoshi siblings are once again competing in football training. However, it was Sae who triumphantly won the battle for the ball, facing off against his little brother.

"I won again," Sae said with a smirk.

Rin couldn't hide his frustration, but his expression changed suddenly when he saw you coming with the water bottles and some towels for your teammates as the efficient manager you were.

“Are you sure?” Rin replied as you approached him to give him a towel while praising how well he is evolving.

Sae rolled his eyes, annoyed that he wasn't the one receiving so many compliments.

Unbeknownst to you, the brothers’ competitiveness has also extended to you. It seems their shared interests were not limited to sports.

“Sae? Are you okay?” you asked, tilting your head, worried about the frown on his face.

“He’s just thinking in ways to surpass me. He knows damn well that I'm so close to beating him. Right, big brother?” Rin said mockingly

Sae stared at Rin, unsure whether to fight him physically or in his mind. At the end, he simply wiped the sweat from his forehead with his t-shirt while giving Rin a lingering, intent stare.

You reconnected with him one day while he was walking down the street and found you exiting a store. In the end, you became a veterinarian.

He asked you once more, and you gladly accepted again.
