Reclaiming jewelry from bad vibes 🌟

I was given this copper, tigers eye, and pearl bracelet years ago, and as much as I like the style of the bracelet it was given to me by an older witch who turned out to be a master manipulater and compulsive liar.

I tried to cleanse the bracelet many times but it always felt off wearing it especially as a silver-girly, and it occurred to me that maybe that's the reason.

I often wear silver or stainless steel not just because I like it but because it reflects bad energies off of you,, copper is an energy conductor and though some believe it can cleanse and transmute energy, I believe this copper bracelet was just holding on to all the bad energy of that person.

So I tried my hand at wire-wrapping and jewelry making for the first time and replaced the copper to silver, the tigers eye with garnets, and the circular pearls with chunky ones (much more me), while only keeping the center pearl from the original bracelet (as golden pearls are rarer to find) I plan to use the rest of the beads in other projects.

I didn't know at the time but the inspiration and creation of this idea all came about on the last new moon fueling my energy to make it, and being able to cleanse it in the moonlight when I finished. Now I have a gorgeous bracelet that feels more like me and more like it's mine; balancing both my fire and water aspects with the garnets representing passion, grounding, strength, protection, love, blood, the earth, and fire

And the pearls representing spiritual connection, vulnerability, empathy, protection, love, tears, the moon, and water

I feel very grateful to be able to take this back, and to be reminded that the universe always has my back.

Divination: my different divination sets and what I use them for!

Dice

I have a small pair of dice that I use for a few different things! Dice is obviously linked to numerology and that's how I tend to incorporate it. I use dice for simple yes/no questions, or scaling questions! I will also incorporate it into other types of reading if I want the extra layer!

Bones

I have a small bone set that I use for yes/no questions and spirit communication - I tend to take this with me when I go outside and use it as a quick and easy way to ask if I can take something from nature or leave an offering!

Runes

I have a rune set I made myself with acorn shells - i use them similar to tarot to communicate with spirits of get an overview of certain situations.

Oracle Cards

I use my oracle cards to sometimes help me identify and communicate with spirits or in conjunction with tarot cards. I also pull a weekly oracle card for the "energy of the week".

Tarot Cards

I'm the most confident with tarot cards and use them mainly for my communication wit spirits and Mother Nature and asking about situations or for advise. I have one deck that is reserved for Mother Nature only!

Stone Reading

I recently created a stone reading set that is inspired by Princess Mononoke (my favourite movie) - it's inspired by the divination system used at the beginning of the movie, with painted stones that represent planets (and their domains), the elements and the querent and a few other pieces! Its a more complex system that takes longer to read but is really good for getting a good overview of what's going on in my space!!

Low-Energy Ways to Work with Nature and her Spirits:

Look outside. That's it - just open the curtains and see the sunlight, find the trees outside your window and watch the birds.

Put on a documentary or youtube video about a cool animal, ecology, the natural world etc

Talk to nature - whisper, talk out loud, say it in your head - just talk. Compliment pretty flowers, chat about how creepy but cool you think spiders are, picture light dancing off morning dew.

Trace the shapes of leaves/flowers/animals etc on your bed sheets or skin - try to see how many different shapes make up the natural world, find the patterns and fractals within them

Learn the name of one new local plant a week! Just one a week! If you have the energy, research a little about their ecology, history or medicinal uses

Make a flower crown/daisy chain/leaf crown

Take up nature photography - you don't need a fancy camera, jsut your phone!

Collect some shells/rocks/bones etc!

Just sit outside! can be just outside your front door, next to an open window, or in the woods (whatever you can manage)

Take your daily activities outside!! Read in the garden, eat your breakfast under the sun etc

Create art from nature - paint rocks, press flowers, create patterns using feathers or leaves as paintbrushes/stamps

Cloud watching!

More High Energy Activities:

Go for a walk or hike outside and take some offerings. Introduce yourself to the trees and plants and streams and leave them a gift.

If there's one nearby, visit a local farmer's market and buy some local produce; honey, meat, vegetables, fruit, etc! Chat to the sellers and talk about their practices and produce

Do a small spell outside! Find a secluded, comfortable spot and invite the spirits to observe your spellwork - let them get used to your energy and way of working

Make a small diary of your time outside! Don't worry about filling it in regularly, just whenever you have the energy! Write down when the bees start coming out or leaves return after winter. What plants stay during the cold season?

Research local plants and come up with your own correspondences based on their ecology/medicinal use/folklore etc

Go on a walk to see what plants and animals exist in your area! Research them - are they native? Invasive? What is their ecology? Medicinal uses? Even the most urban areas tend to have some wildlife!

Join a local facebook group for birdwatching!

Research your area and figure out what plants or animals would be native, or used to live there - create artwork or something to honour and remember them

Research gardening groups nearby - some cities will have volunteer gardening projects or local groups that help maintain natural spaces! See if any would be feasible for you to join and get out there

Join a local allotment or community garden if you have the means - do some weeding, plant some tomatoes, say hello to the coal tits nesting in the old shed!

If you have the means - invest in a hardy houseplant! Name it, research its care and talk to it! Make a ritual out of watering and talking to it.

Take an online ecology course! Free courses exist and can be super interesting!

Watch youtube videos on a favourite taxa and make notes - build your own knowledge at a pace you're comfortable with on the things you're interested in!

Invite some nature spirits in for a meal - cook something you enjoy and set the table (if you can) for the spirits. Enjoy a meal with them.

I don't work with God's, or lucifer, Satan (whatev) but I do believe the energy and belief we put into them effects us. Do you already happen to believe in Satan? Do you believe that he has an association to bad things? You probably saw the woman, had the thought, and your inner psyche decided to shame you in an easy way to hurt you. If you believe the voice was calling her Satan maybe your projecting your guilt on to her.

Sometimes the voices need more examination in science rather than spirituality. (Even if they're two sides of the same coin)

Types of Divination

🌙Aeromancy

A means of divination through the interpretation of atmospheric phenomena such as cloud formations, wind currents, rain, fog, lightning, thunder, cosmological events, and positions favorable or unfavorable to the planet.

The Beginning Before The Beginning

At the beginning of everything rests possibility. A kind of endless, boundless energy, unconstricted by time or place. This energy is pure soul, uninfluenced by the ego or experience. It is completely without form or intention. This may seem like an abstract concept, but the truth is that this state of pure nothingness, the beginning that existed before the beginning, is evident all around us. My witchy hot takes (deity work edition)

There's no age or experience barriers to worshipping deities (not working with them). Young children have been worshipping the Gods for millennia in several different cultures. It's safe for anyone to worship the Gods, at any age, at any experience level.

Worshipping or working with multiple deities doesn't make you a clout chaser or a fake witch. I think as long as you have the time and resources to maintain multiple divine relationships, it's ok to do so. If your practice looks like worshipping many deities, that's valid! It's YOUR practice, and as long as you're being respectful to those deities, and you aren't hurting anyone (including yourself), then go for it! Ancient societies, that many of our Pagan religions are based off of, have worshipped dozens of gods at a time. You're doing just fine, I promise.

You don't need to wait for a sign or wait for a deity to reach out to you first Deities don't give signs nearly as much as Witchtok would lead you to believe. It's perfectly fine, and much more common, to reach out to a God or Goddess first and ask to work with or worship them. You don't need to wait and hope they notice you. It's alright to take the initiative and be the first to reach out.

We shouldn't put an expectation that deities always communicate through psychic senses (clairvoyance) Witchtok and Witchblr make it seem like everyone is physically hearing or seeing their deities, or are interacting with them all the time in the astral plane. In reality, this is an experience some people have, but it isn't the "norm". Most people don't have clair senses. Most people have a hard time doing astral projection, or don't have astral projection in their craft. Most people need divination tools to communicate with the Divine. And that is perfectly ok.

Everyones relationship with the Divine is different Some people have a more relaxed relationship with the Gods than others do. Some people may have a parental-ish connection with their gods, some might have a strict mentor/student relationship, others might be very relaxed and comfortable with their relationships. Heck, some people might not believe in the Gods existence at all. Whatever the relationship is, it's valid. As long as you aren't disrespecting the Gods themselves (no, not believing in deities isn't disrespect), I think your relationship with them is amazing.
