The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, France. The cemetery overlooks the Omaha Beach landing site fought over during the D-Day landings in World War Two. Its grounds contain the remains of 9,387 American military dead, most of whom were killed during the invasion of Normandy.  The cemetery is featured at the beginning and end of Saving Private Ryan.
