I love my human. I want to cuddle up with them in fuzzy blankets… I want to experience the wonders of human life with them… I’m their good pet despite my uneasy legs.

how to torture your aquatic whumpee ✨
reverse waterboarding. super quick and easy, just take them out of the water!
leave them out to dry. totally not inspired by that one scene in the spongebob movie
cut off their fins. make a shark fin soup!
block off their gills! suffocate them! they could drown just like a human ❤️
if they need freshwater, put them in saltwater. or vice versa.
make sure their tank is too small for them. they don’t deserve comfort!

Hun, it’s your fellow Mer here. You’re perfectly safe and you’re cared for.
Anything I can do to help?
~🍉🫧
You’re so sweet <3 We know we’re cared for and safe but we can’t put our brain at ease… We’ve just been having a difficult time recently I guess. Mostly flashbacks and trying to fight off reverting to old habits. Probably just need to find something to distract ourselves with.

Something Something, the petstore said this was the recommended tank size. Koimaids don’t need a filter, she’ll survive.

Had a thought about new whumpees. Not brand new per say. Not new enough to still be asking stupid questions like 'where am i?' and 'what do you want?'. Not new enough to be playing aggressive or be comfortably, cleverly pliant to trick their captor and find a way out. Not new enough to think Whumper is just bluffing when they say they are going to hurt them.
I'm talking about relatively new whumpees. Ones that have been hurt a few times by now. Ones that are no longer under any assumptions that they can find their way out of here so easily. Ones that are slowly starting to recognise how heavy a rock in their stomach their situation truly is.
Ones that have grown a little quieter, a little smaller already. Ones who are at the perfect point where they are clearly so lost and confused and unused to this kind of life that they can't help showing all their fear in every little flinch and darting of the eyes. Ones that have been taught a couple of their most important rules already.
That deliciously innocent phase where they begin expecting torture and start fearing their whumper's every move, yet they are still so new to it all that they cannot help the genuine panic an unfamiliar interaction or a new order from Whumper brings them.

Leaving a string of mismatched buttons, a sardine on a fish hook, and a single gold coin by your grotto
Now. How am I supposed to trust this isn’t some type of trap? I mean- I’m start enough to know fish hooks are bad news…
