..i moved into another playground about 3 weeks ago. Today was the first day i got to do any type of art. Life’s been a whirlwind as of late. A beautiful twisty thing life is. ..over 30 days in Japan before 30. - by this monumental age i wanted to accomplish a few things & tbh i basically checked off every box. In order to strive to the levels i for-see in my future - i needed to obtain a worldly perspective. I wandered around to open my mind; challenging the status quo of my reality. Also, i met some of the coolest people on the planet. Did some live painting, photoshoots, traveled from Tokyo to Hiroshima and everywhere in between. I also didn’t have any responsibilities the entire time since i what my job half way through my trip. - Fuckin aye, I’m 30. Many more travels and business ventures to come. I appreciate the love, support and the happy birthdays. I love you all. I’m bout to get lit. Like lit lit. ..today’s my last day in my 20s. - It’s crazy that I’m cashing in another decade. My 20s have been nothing but blessings - from college basketball to now. My 29th year, in spent a lot of time alone, not lonely - just singular, in solitude. For growth and building and all that shit. I’m lowkey holding onto my 20s for dear life. ..i made art for you to wear. - i turn 30 on Friday, so this drop seems appropriate. It’s been a journey getting here, whatever here is. ..we’re going to LOGIK’s World. - March 31st i launched my first solo #art show called “OUTTA TIME”. i lived in a loft of about 3,000 sq ft where i found that i had 30 days to move. This show had been in the works for 6 years and now had to be launched before i moved from my artist’s dream home - bc where else would i get all this space for myself? Originally the title of the show “Chapter 27; Nothing’s For Sale” naturally became “OUTTA TIME” due to the apparent situation..but the essence of the show remained & that there was no art or merch for sale... only the experience. Outfitted with 15 installations including a speakeasy that opened at 4pm called “TIMES UP”. From bringing my obnoxiously yellow characters to living, walking, breathing beings to a ballet performance in a tutu that I designed. My favorite install was the “memory bank” filled with photos & polaroids from my childhood to SXSW 2012 & recent photoshoots in Hollywood. The room was dark and ppl had red flash lights to sift through the memories. Before entering the show, you had to pick a poison, for example “hopes & dreams” which could be anything; gin, rum, etc. - It’s wild, the universe forced me out of my beloved loft to create this show bc the universe had other plans for me this summer; which have been proven evident. This recap got me my booth at @complexcon. Trust your timing and the signs. I could’ve looked for a new home in that 30 days or make a personal miracle happen ultimately turning a perceived negative into a positive. I’ve been inspired by and have been a fan of his for quite some time. He’s created a world for you all to be apart of. I’m doing the same. ...disney, im coming for you. - i brought characters to life from my art work. I’ve been plotting this since i was 15 years old .. to not merely become a painter or photographer or art director in advertising, but someone who is so much more. To create a world in which you can physically step into.. and we’ll be bringing a piece of that world to @complexcon next weekend. I couldn’t have done this without my friend, the talented @falynhuang with her great energy awesome art and makeup skills. Also, the amazing models @y.renee317 @givnniwho and little Carrington @pulingafitz. Ever since i was child I’ve been fascinated with bringing visions to life; like the films Cool World, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and the Tim Burton’s beautiful yet grotesque approach to redefining auteurism in film.
