Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all fans of the enigmatic world of "The Phantom of the Opera"
We are excited to present the first chapter of "Zariya Hollow - A Horror Anthology: Episode 13 - "The Ghost in The Opera House". This project, a labor of love spanning nine years, has been made possible in collaboration with phantomstheater.weebly.com. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Phantomstheater for providing access to their translation of the original Le Gaulois newspaper publication of Gaston Leroux's "Le Fantôme de l'Opéra", along with the comprehensive appendix. Discover more and stay updated at phantomstheater.weebly.com/Zariya-Hollow.
Zariya Hollow: Season 1, Episode 13 - "The Ghost In The Opera House" (Chapter 1)
In the gripping season finale opener, "The Ghost In The Opera House," we step into the mysterious corridors of Paris's famed Opera House, led by the enigmatic voice of Gaston Leroux. His narration not only brings the grand architecture to life but also whispers of the secrets and ghostly enigmas hidden within its walls.
This episode is a defining moment in the Opera House's chronicles, capturing the significant transfer of leadership from the old directors, Messieurs Debienne and Poligny, to the new custodians, Armand Moncharmin and Firmin Richard. The handover of the small master keys isn't merely a formal procedure; it signifies the dawn of a new era, riddled with unexpected challenges and eerie tales of a phantom lurking in the shadows.
As we navigate through Leroux's vividly painted scenes, we explore the Opera House's majestic underbelly, where the new directors grapple with the daunting rumors of a spectral inhabitant. Parallel to this, in the serene town of Perros-Guirec, another story starts to unfurl, intricately linking to the opera's own enigmatic saga.
Leroux's masterful storytelling skillfully blends reality with legend, weaving a narrative that captivates and haunts in equal measure. "The Ghost In The Opera House" is more than a tale of unspoken love and ghostly presence; it's an expedition into a realm where every hidden corner and echoing note tells its own story. As the tale progresses, Leroux sets the stage for a finale that is set to be as unforgettable as the legend of the Paris Opera House itself.
Tune in to this mesmerizing journey at anchor.fm/zariyahollow/episodes/Zariya-Hollow-S1Ep13--The-Ghost-In-The-Opera-House-Chapter-1-e2dlke1.

Oooooh. Another story about a lovesick ghost.
Join us for the midnight release of "The Ghost and Mrs Muir," a timeless classic brought to life with a modern twist. Starring Suzanne Pamphile as Lucy Muir and Alexiel de Ravenswood as Captain Gregg and Reinhardt Hendrickson, this production features an all-star cast, including James Hoegerl as Miles Fairley and Charles Early as Mr. Coombes. With an original score by Alexiel de Ravenswood and two pieces arranged from the classic score by Bernard Herrmann, this audio drama will transport you to the world of Gull Cottage and the mysterious spirit who haunts it. Get ready for a hauntingly beautiful listening experience as we bring the story of "The Ghost and Mrs Muir" to life.
As the driving force behind Zariya Hollow, and our final episode of our three part Valentine’s Day special: “The Ghost and Mrs Muir," I have a deep-rooted love for this classic story. My journey with Captain Daniel Gregg began as a young child surfing the internet, listening to his tale being told on the radio. Charles Boyer's portrayal of the Captain left a lasting impression on me, imbuing the character with a subtle French accent that has stuck in my memory to this day. For over 20 years, I have dreamed of bringing this tale to life on stage or radio. And now, with "The Ghost and Mrs Muir," I am proud to say that my dream has finally become a reality. In 2012 I was honored to get the license to arrange two pieces from the stunning score by Bernard Herrman, which are now included in our audio drama. And, as an added touch, I also composed original music for the production, infusing the timeless story with my own unique sound. As the director, producer, and star of this episode, I have poured my heart and soul into every aspect of its production. From sound effects to overall sound design, I have worked tirelessly to create an immersive and captivating listening experience for our audience. I am also thrilled to be working with a talented and dedicated cast, including Suzanne Pamphile, James J Hoegerl, and Charles Early. Each actor brings their own unique skills and perspectives to their respective roles, elevating the story to new heights. As we approach Valentine's Day and Black History Month, I am especially proud to announce that Suzanne and I are the first POC to play Lucy Muir and Captain Gregg in a production of "The Ghost and Mrs Muir." This is a true testament to the diversity and inclusiveness of our industry, and I am honored to be a part of it. At the stroke of midnight on the 14th, I will be releasing this episode for all to enjoy. I hope that listeners will be transported to the world of Gull Cottage and the salty dog who haunts it.

Words cannot describe how proud I am of the Zariya Hollow project. It has been a labor of love for years, inspired by my passion for classic radio dramas such as Orson Welles' Mercury Theater, Lux Radio Theater, Suspense, CBS Radio Mystery, and the Mutual Radio Network.(hosted by Vincent Price) These shows taught me the power of vocal performance and how to bring a script to life through the spoken word. I have been honing my skills and training for years with the goal of starting my own theater company, whether it be on stage or on the airwaves.
Zariya Hollow is the manifestation of that dream. Nestled in a strange, isolated part of the valley, this large, derelict house is a gothic mansion with a dark and foreboding presence. It is owned by Reinhardt Hendrickson, a mysterious figure said to still haunt the estate, although no one in town has dared to confirm this rumor. The mansion is surrounded by a wrought iron fence and overgrown with weeds, giving the impression that it has been abandoned for years. The windows are dark and the roof is in disrepair, guarded by two stone lions with sinister expressions. Despite its dilapidated appearance, there is an air of mystery and intrigue surrounding the mansion, inviting curious visitors to explore its haunted halls and uncover its secrets.
Our first episode, "The Screaming Skull," is based on the classic story by F. Marion Crawford. It tells the tale of a practical man who inherits a house from a doctor friend, whose wife predeceased him in mysterious circumstances. In a cupboard of the master bedroom, he discovers a skull and starts to experience eerie occurrences. Join us as we bring this classic ghost story to life in a whole new way.
Tune in to Zariya Hollow and let us take you on a journey through the haunted halls of this ominous estate.

In the wake of Covid 19 and all the other things going on this year, this is a little Christmas present,  I give to all of you.
When I was young, (a very long time ago now)
I began a  Christmas tradition with my grandparents. I rigged our entire living room with little hidden tricks and effects and I would reenact A  Christmas Carol as a one-person show, much like Charles Dickens himself used to do, with only the fireplace, Christmas tree, and candlelight.
Over the years I have refined and honed this performance.
I offer this, an audio performance of “A Christmas Carol” by yours truly.

Merry Christmas  darlings,
(Tivdatsi)
