Be discerning when listening to preachers, pastors, and ministers as well. Because the Bible warns about wolves in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:15). There are pretenders given temporal feel-good messages. You need to make sure it aligns with the Word of God. If it doesn't, the person is wrong not the Creator God.

The church (people) belong to God! You'd be correct to acknowledge that it isn't grandma's church, granddaddy's church, it's not the pastor's church, not the people's church. It's the house of the Lord. And He declares His house to be a house of prayer.

A beautiful thing about the love of God is that He knew what each one of us would do. Still, through the blood of His begotten Son Jesus, He paved the only way to salvation. That despite it all, all who would believe in Jesus could be saved, forgiven, and no longer separated from Him. What a mighty good love☺️

How is Your Household?

Prioritizing your household is a spiritual requirement that needs exercising daily.

People so often prioritize the needs of self-health, in its most selfish form. While it is true that one cannot help others when one cannot help self, there is a very thin line between selfishness and unselfishness. This culture has coined the term "self-health is not selfish" all while making the most selfish of choices, all in the name of health. Taking care of yourself should in no wise be selfish, but it depends solely on the path taken.

Taking care of oneself should never come at the expense of neglecting one's household. Self-health requires some alone time. However, when alone time becomes a priority over home responsibilities it becomes selfish. Turning your back on your parents, children, and your relatives.

There are times when no is the acceptable, healthiest, and most well-needed answer. Never because one would prefer to be selfish with one's time and resources. As Christians (for those who are) we aren't afforded the "luxury" of neglecting our family in the faith (see Galatian 6:10) or our household family.

Family should take care of one another. In 1 Timothy 5:8, a person, a Christian, who neglects to help his/her household is considered worse than a person who lives a life unbelieving in Christ.

While this chapter of Timothy talks about widows. It is written elsewhere to be good to the family of faith (Galatians 5:10), helping others, giving food to the hungry, and so forth (see Matthew 25:31-45). Verse eight is not a verse that we should miss simply because of its placement with widows. Because family is important. In 1 Timothy 5:4, it is written:

How you steward what God has blessed and entrusted you with matters. We have a great responsibility to familial relationships. If God has been so kind blessing and providing you with the resources to help provide for your family don't miss the opportunity to do so and do it with cheerfulness.

Be sure today, and the days ahead be it the Lord's will, to make your household a priority. Prayerfully consider ways in which you can contribute peace, love, and help to your household. Both at home and in the house of God.

A significant action that shows whether you love God or not is whether you love the people you encounter on a daily.

It comes a day and a time when pacified ideologies of inclusion must be faced with true. Because in the wake of much turmoil, much hate, and much disharmony lies chaotic confusion often caused by a lack of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.

Today, and I'm sure in the past, many Christians and those who profess a claim that they are believers in God often have a distorted view of who He is. Scripture means nothing to a lot of people who have called themselves believers aside from receiving what it is he/she wants.

Many even now with what's going on in the land of Israel, where God has chosen as his people, do not understand the reason many are prioritizing prayer for Israel. It's not about being desensitized from others who are hurting or suffering from this tragic moment in history. But has everything to do with wanting peace in the land of Israel based on what is written in scripture.

So many people have become utterly lost from the truth. End-time prophecy isn't the sweet satisfying message Christians wish to hear. The truth of God's wrath doesn't gain the same hand claps as sowing a large "seed" to receive a church building or a house.

It's time we get candid about the Word of God because the truth is it isn't based upon our emotional feelings or political correctness. There's so much misinformation that has people confused. But there's a theological answer available to God's children through His Holy Spirit of Truth in Jesus's name.

People would say now more than ever, but the reality is now, like always and forever people need truth. God is not a man who should lie. He allowed us to have both His Word and His Holy Ghost that we may obtain knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of His Truth.

It won't ever change. Not even for this current culture. People on this earth will make things sound good, and will even use scripture in a way to accredit their lies. That's why Christians must know the Word of God for themselves.

While those upbeat sermons about a new house, a new car, God not wanting you financially perplexed, and how anything you do is okay may sound good. The Bible lets us know that while you may be blessed financially, with a house, and clothes it's not the mission.

Today, it is time to grow in Christ. It's time to get back to sound biblical doctrine. Lives depend upon truth. Untainted, tough, profound truth is a must. Because the mission is and always has been about redemption in the blood of Jesus. It's our mission to spread His gospel to this dying and very lost world.

This prayer is such a great need for us all. So often I think we forget about the company we are keeping and how much community influences us. Many phrases comes to mind that details the importance of good company verses bad. To name a couple,

•"birds of a feather flocks together"

•"you are the company that you keep"

So, there are a few amazing takeaways from this prayer, that I would like to share with you:

1. It shows willingness. "God, I want to be..." is saying that you want to be a part of something special. In this case, in a community of believers. Which is such an important thing! We weren't designed to be all about ourselves, but to work in the body of Christ.

2. It shows submitting to God. "Please help me to approach..." This prayer doesn't leave God out. It welcomes Him in to transform the heart and mind to have that desire to be a part of His community. Praying this prayer is removing your effort to do it alone. While surrendering to the all-knowing and perfect God who is more than capable of attaching us to the community we are to be around.

3. It shows a want to be closer to God! "Allow me to develop relationships that draw me closer to You." Oh, what a great request! Our relationships shouldn't draw us away from Jesus. It should bring us into fellowship with Him. Being in relationships that encourage fleshly living shouldn't be of priority to believers.

4. It shows a need to grow. "Please help me to approach my relationships with a willingness to learn and to listen". Now this part fits in the willingness, submission, and wanting that closeness with Jesus. In this part, it also deals with acknowledging a problem area. It's about admitting where you lack wisdom. There is a level of "glory" that comes with being the "wise" one, the "accomplished" communicator. But, the fact is listening to respond is detrimental to our lives as Christians. Wise people don't utter every thought they have. We have to learn to learn and listen in order to be a part of God's community the right way, in Christ Jesus' name.

A huge problem with modern society is that they'll test the waters to anything. Even things that openly works against humanity, all in the name of "progression" and money! That's not love!

Stand Against Sin

Phobia is said to be a fear of something: person, place, thing, or even an activity. It is described often as being an excessive, irrational, or unrealistic fear of something.

Some scholars and scholarly source would declare -isms and phobias as one being fearful because of one's ignorance. While sometimes this is true, it's not the whole truth.

Over the years, phobia has since become a title attached to viewpoints of those who are against a certain sin in which the cultural deems as being okay. Not because of one's ignorance do they disagree. But do to biblical truth in which is still very much correct today (Mark 13:31 KJV).

Carnal minded people may not believe it, but there is going to come a time in life where all must answer for one's sins. No one saved or unsaved will be exempted from the in which you must give an account of their life lived here on earth. The LORD will not hold any favorites toward any person, that you will be exempt. God is a just God (Romans 14:12, Romans 2:11 KJV)!

So, while being against something is considered a phobia in today's time. Be reminded that there is nothing excessive, irrational, or unrealistic about fearing the wrath of God. He is still against sin! Likewise, as His children, we must love people and be against sin. Even when the world consistently attempts to make "inclusion" about everything, accept the facts—sin is not to be applauded!

There is no such thing as -isms and phobias as it pertains to faithfully living and walking in the Spirit of God. That old saying, "when you know better, do better," is in deed a motto that this culture needs much of. Knowing better doesn't mean you hate others. It does mean that you have to have a different viewpoint.

So, today, let's remember we serve a Lord and Savior who came down to earth to save souls from sin and eternal damnation. Jesus didn't come to condemn, but to save—to set free one's soul from sin. It doesn't mean you are incapable of falling, but when you become saved by the blood of the Lamb when you sin, it isn't fun. You no longer seek to make excuses, but you hurriedly repent.

With that in mind, we must learn to live a life pleasing to Jesus. All fall short of the glory, but please remember that is why we are offered a chance to repent and turn back to doing what we know is right. Be led by the Spirit, not by the world's unwise standards.

The offer of salvation through Christ Jesus has been extended for you to be in God's family! But it is impossible without Jesus.

You may be wondering, "What must I do to be saved?" It is written:

that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Come to Jesus the way that you are. He loves you more than anyone ever can. He can and will heal you from brokenness, and sins, and He will give you forgiveness. There is no better place than the security of faith in Jesus Christ. Lastly, when you are saved you are no longer a servant but a child of God! It is written:

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: but when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Transform Never Conform

With all the earthly resources in the world, to gather information. Let us be reminded that not all advice is good advice. Diligently seek the truth, but never alone. If you have confessed Jesus as Lord and Saviour, let's be reminded that we have the Comforter, that is the Holy Ghost/Spirit (see John 14:26 KJV).

Those books, documentaries, articles, and podcasts you can't "live without" make sure you search God's Holy Word for direction. That you may discern if it is content from God or Satan. Recently, my music app showed me some podcasts suggestions. I haven't gotten into podcast, but one title grasped my attention. Instead of listening to it, I absentmindedly scrolled through the content. Seeing a few parts that seemed may have been pleasant episodes. Still, not interested in listening. I read the transcript provided by the content creator.

What I read reminded me of the importance of knowing the Word of God. It had been something similar to what I experienced as a young college student. Feeling like an outcast, but my interested change. My hunger to know Jesus shifted in the right direction and certain worldly things I did or said became of no interest. People I had been close with stepped away from me. It was a sad time, but going back wasn't an option. What I read from the transcript notes, the podcast seemed to approve of conforming rather than transforming. It prompted me to be reminded of Romans 12:2 KJV:

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Every Christian believer, no matter age, race, or how long you've been on this beautiful journey, has to remember the world will HATE you!!! It is written that such things will happen in John 15: 18-20 KJV. Therefore, even in college, you cannot fall apart when people no longer want to deal with you because you have a relationship with Jesus.

In no way should it make you feel ashamed. Not everyone will understand your commitment to Jesus. They'll think you are being judgemental. But honestly, all you have done was say you don't partake in certain activities because it goes against God's Word. Never allow being set apart to make you feel as though you are becoming "that Christian girl" or "that Christian boy" who neglects fun. No, being high and getting drunk and having sex (fornicating) isn't fun.

Come to grips with the fact you are set apart. Not better than anyone else, you just have learned right from wrong. So choose right—choose life (Deuteronomy 31:19).

Being a "unicorn" is okay on college campuses. It's okay that you don't drink, smoke, do drugs, have sex (fornication), and aren't for the club scenes. There are other people, believing Christians, who will spend time with you. But, do NOT be misinformed, the world will not like you because you chose against it. In no means do you conform in order to be liked, picked, and included. Choose this day who you will serve!! Because it is impossible to serve to masters, for the Bible declares you will love one and hate the other.

Take heed of what you hear and who you are hearing from. Every person who claims to be doing the Lord's work is not! A sure sign of that is that false teachers and believers will go against God's Word. It is imperative that you study, study, study, study (with the aid of the Holy Ghost)!! Know the Word of God, it is the sword!

A part of growing is knowing many of your peers will no longer care for you when you stop drinking, smoking, etc. But you don't conform to the world's standard. You go forward being transformed through the Word of God.

Giving Good News

An inescapable truth is that you cannot escape the news. Someone is going to tell you something new you didn't know, highlight some facts, or gossip around you. The issue is, in the world in which we live the news is deafening toward the good things that do happen.

Which inspired this post on this beautiful Thursday. There is a plethora of good news walking the earth, yet so many people find themselves eager to spread bad news. As the saying goes, "Bad news sure travels fast."

Today, this post is designed to encourage you on how to give good news.

1. Give good news aside from bad news.

Recently, it has dawned on me how swift people are to give bad news the moment they speak good news. The receiver of good news, sadly, only has about six seconds (in my opinion) to receive and react cheerfully to good news before bad news follows.

It ceases to amaze me how people will pile bad news on top of bad news. But when it comes to good news, they give you one piece of good news then pile bad news onto until you've forgotten the good news.

Stop doing that, allow people to enjoy the moment of bliss. Allow people to even walk away from your presence with good news.

2. Stop downplaying good news.

"All you hear is bad news," to some variation has been said to each of us. (If not to you, continue living.)

This too, ought not to be so, when people never say, "All you hear is good news." Over the last few months maybe a year or so, I have heard so many people declare that all you hear is bad news, even when all they got is one bad news after a dozen good news.

Listen, don't downplay good news. It exists. I mean just look back to the beginning of the year when Damar Hamlin, an NFL football safety collapsed on the field, and people were praying on his behalf immediately. That moment showed so much goodness from God's character and His grace to faithful believers praying in agreeance, to selflessness, to Jesus being a healing Savior!

You see? Though unintentional that's what it means to pile good news on top of good news. If you're looking for some good news to celebrate open your eyes and heart and mind to Jesus.

3. Dont be a bad news hoarder.

Some people in this life hoard bad news. A bad news hoarder is a person who seeks, reads, and watches bad news daily at multiple times throughout the day. This is a person who wakes up looking for bad news.

Don't be a person who is attracted to or attractive to bad news. Yes, I am aware we can't escape bad needs because sometimes bad things will happen. However, this should not encourage anyone to go about seeking bad news. Be a good news hoarder. Have a good news story handy and share it graciously.

4. Last, cushion bad news with good news.

It cannot ever be enough good news. On this tip, it truly is important to know the right moment, but make sure to share good news after bad news instead of vice versa.

Overall, be reminded that people have enough to deal with. Both individually and collectively. Don't be the reason a person's day gets worse because you wake and fall asleep seeking bad news. Learn to have a healthy balance. Sometimes there will be a need to tell bad news but don't let bad news consume you into being a bad news hoarder who believes in ruining others' day.

Only prideful, greedy, and selfish people work tirelessly at trying to replace humanity. Pushing software that replaces humans is not love, it is greed, selfishness, and pride. The good news is Jesus sees all and is above all!

Spaces are abundant for "knowledge", however, if you'd recognize most people who share knowledge are adding to and subtracting from God's Word, you'd recognize that the source behind a lot of information is being provided by the aid of Satan and therefore should not hold even an ounce of your attention.

People would rather tell the Creator of all mankind how to run what He built. All the while, it is the created not reaching our full potential, true peace, and joy. But the good news is, God offers forgiveness if we would simply turn back to Him. And that's real love.
