I wish I could get surreal nightmares instead of something too close to reality to be recognised as imagined.

HOWEVER I can recognise good cinematography when I see it, like letting my hair grow longer than its been in years to symbolise 1) how long ive spent trapped here 2) the loss of control and autonomy and time for myself 3) imposed standards that i can no longer defy

Like the rest of the dream was stressful even if I forgot most of it, but noticing the changed hair length from my shadow on the floor, the hands coming to check that yes, its my hair, and the slow realisation of how wrong things have gone…. Yeah I’m still thinking about it.
