Why does incest take over my whole online life?

AI is always an interesting topic for me because I actually work with AI and have made my own bots in order for my work to well… work. I’ve been programming since I was in high school (I’m 25 now.)

So when I come on here and see so many people hating on AI art, it’s very interesting. I agree it will and should never replace humans. As someone who loves art and the feelings it can express, AI will never replace it. I also truly believe that wasn’t the intention of those who worked to make different versions of AI a reality. Technology just keeps moving forward and things are made with the intention to fix a problem that exists. Most AI models are really dumb and only do what you ask. That’s why ChatGpt might give you a wrong answer, because it can’t think for itself.

So I just hope that when people are getting upset with AI, they are getting upset with the people who are trying to sell AI art or those who use it to replace artists. If you’re a nobody just using it for pleasure, do you. You probably don’t have the money to pay an artist to get you to draw a piece of art and that’s understandable. Most people are don’t have that much extra money.

AI, like any other tool, if given to the wrong person could be detrimental but that could be said about literally anything in the world. Nefarious people will continue to be that way. I was told at 17, in my first programming class in college that a program is just like a good wife.

“It will do exactly what you tell it to do.” (My professor never had a female in one of his classes so after he said this he locked eyes with me and apologized.)

Ai is literally the same thing. A dumb program that will only do what you ask it to, and sometimes it can’t even do that because natural language processing sometimes just doesn’t work right.

So please don’t get mad at AI, get mad at the people misusing it.

imagine getting baited into watching spn by people on tumblr dot com assuring you on 5k think-pieces that there is a super deep relationship between the hunter and the angel that is so crucial and central to the show so you jump into the madness-inducing cw show only to find out dean literally murders anyone who breaths next to sam for 15 seasons for no other reason than "little brother is life", he does not reciprocate any love confession until he dies in a scene where for 9 mins he professes his love for Sam, after that he goes to heaven and does nothing but wait for his brother to die too so they can be together there as well. The credits roll and you literally do not get anything the fucking tumblr users promised you, nothing, just Dean and Sam's really weird relationship and nothing else. damn. anyway, cheers to that.

I don’t know, if maybe I’m just weird (I am autistic that’s for sure), but I’ve never liked wincest AU’s.

There’s just something so raw, beautiful and tragic about the cannon lives of Sam and Dean Winchester that inevitably makes the epic love story of Sam and Dean just that much more perfect.

Sam having no one but Dean. From crawling into his bed at night when he was scared at night because John would have just handed him the Glock 19 that fit in his small hand too damn well, to late night summers where John is over a hundred miles away, working on some case that he didn’t even bother to inform his sons about, just leaving a crusty little note about being gone for the week… or possibly weeks, and leaving two horny teenagers home alone.

And then later wincest is just heart wrenching, season 14/15. Two hardened men who have let all semblance of normalcy and possibility of love sink deep within the repression pool. Soft touched and kisses are the only thing that keep them somewhat sane as they fall into their domestic little lives with an unspoken love and mutual respect. Gentle mornings with the husbands who have been married for over 20 years.

Cannon wincest is and always will be my favorite.

when dean first got the impala from his dad, he made a bunch of his own mixtapes to play in it, just incase john wanted his cassettes back. he made one dedicated to each member of his family: his dad, his mum - even if she wasn't around anymore - and sammy.

driving little sammy around, he would play the tape dedicated to their mother, wanting sammy to get a feel for the person their mother was; even if sammy doesn't remember her, he should still be allowed to know her.

with sammy in the car, he never played his john tape or his sammy tape.

as the years went by, he updated the tapes sometimes, mainly the one dedicated to sammy; he didn't like messing around with the one for his mother and he didn't spend a whole lot of time away from john to feel the need to add new songs to the tape.

when sam left for college, he wiped the sammy tape for the first time and made it into something new: songs sammy liked, songs that reminded him of his brother, songs that seemed to scream his feelings about him.

dean didn't like pearl jam that much, but sam did, so sammy's favourite pearl jam songs made it on there. 'bitch' by the rollings stones made it on there, mainly because of the little back and forth he and sammy did: "jerk." "bitch." "bitch." "jerk."

then there were the songs that he never wanted people hear him dedicate to his brother; sappy love songs, power ballads, songs about pining and missing someone - everything he shouldn't feel about his brother.

'amanda' by boston was the the first song on the tape, but whenever brad delp would sing amanda, he would sing samantha over the top of it.

halfway through the tape, eddie money's song 'think i'm in love' can be heard. he hates that its there, hates that he feels that way about his brother but he can't help it; he just can't help it.

the last song on the tape is the song 'screaming in the night' by krokus. its the lyrics: 'screaming in the night, fighting for my life, i'd die for you. i knew it all along, headed for the sun, our love was true', has dean in tears he can't listen to the song in its entirety; only once he has an entire bottle of whiskey in his system can he have the guts to.

there are countless songs on there, but there is never a b-side; not even with copious amounts of whiskey in his system does dean have the ability to listen to sammy's tape that long.

picking up sam from stanford, dean pushes the tape so far down into the box, he almost forgets about it; buried deep in there probably next to the tape about mary, no where near the tape about john - he had binned that tape the night sammy left. but when sam throws himself into the cage, saving the world but leaving dean all alone, he digs through the box and finds the tape, playing it as he drives away from the graveyard.

it isn't until he pulls the tape out does he realise there is now a b-side; sams messy handwriting just legible enough for dean to make out his own name.

playing that side of the tape, the first song he hears is 'thank you' by led zeppelin and dean has to pull the car over just so he doesn't crash.

for the entirety of the tape, dean sits on the side of the road, listening to each and every song with tears in his eyes. there's 'here today' by paul mccartney, 'the one i love' by r.e.m - even though sam knows dean hates r.e.m, and it makes dean let out a painful chuckle.

one of the ones that hurts most is chicago's 'if you leave me now' and dean has to pause the song and skip it because he can't, he just can't.

song after song: 'brothers in arms' by dire straits, 'love to love' by ufo, even 'heat of the moment' by asia and that stops dean in his tracks because sammy didn't know if he was coming back - even though sammy buried him instead of making him a pyre, he didn't know if dean would be coming back - and wanted to wake up from all of this; return to the mystery spot and have all the answers they have now, so much earlier on.

much like how sammy felt, dean doesn't know if his brother will ever return to him; if he'll ever be able to confess with words, rather than songs, how he feels about his brother. what he can do though, is kiss the tape that holds their love and play it - listen to it in its entirety because after all, it holds all the answers to the epic love story of sam and dean winchester.

I think this and #wincest was like banned on tumblr for a little because I remember not being able to see any wincest content and it was all under SamDean

I need a wincestie elder to tell me how the ship name evolved from wincest to samdean. I mean, the two co-exist together now, I see people using both. but has it always been this way or is the use of samdean a recent phenomenon? also I wonder if people have a strong preference for one and a dislike for the other. and if they're okay with both, then what was their reasoning when they started to use one over the other

I've also seen people using c*sdean instead of d*stiel (I'm censoring the names just so the post doesn't get hidden to those who have the words muted lol), and I saw someone say that, to them, d*stiel sounded kinda cringy but c*sdean sounded more mature. In general I feel like in many fandoms nowadays people tend to glue the names of the couple together instead of fusing them in some creative way you know? maybe that's part of the reason why samdean started to emerge when wincest was already a well-established ship name?
