TAOTTYT: a bittersweet memory of change 🏳️‍⚧️📓

✶ explanation is on each piece ! c:

⤷ this piece showcases juno looking at his other self, feeling an internal struggle. as if juno feels guilt for not fitting into his father's expectations placed upon him. it visually represents the divide between how he sees himself and how the world perceives him. by apologizing, juno expresses an internalized guilt for not conforming, even though he shouldn’t have to.

✶ the star in jasmine's hand symbolizes of that's what his father wants him to become instead of his current version i think??? like 'you could've been the rest of us but no you wanted to be different'

⤷ this other piece explains juno tearing up while looking at the screen signifies a mix of emotions, grief for the past self that others imposed on him, but also relief and hope for a future where he is seen as himself. it also represents mourning and healing, acknowledging past struggles while embracing the possibility of true recognition. comforted both by tintin and captain haddock, who understands him very well.

✶ anyways, it was really fun making this for trans visibility day but @ the same time it was soul crushing and gut wrenching AAAAA but yea enjoy ! c:

Life and society has thrived because of the perseverance and brilliance of the trans and nonbinary community, whether we knew it or not. Remember that you aren't alone, and you have so, so many people across nations who are standing with you.

Do the best you can to continue pursuing your goals and live with pride as the best version of yourself you can be. Outlive your oppressors; the vacuum of a hollow, hateful life will consume the bigots who try to block your way of growth and happiness, because they'll do nothing but shrink and wallow in their ignorance while you're making as many footprints as you can.

You are valid, and you will thrive, and you will continue to live more fulfilled lives because you stay true to who you are.

Do you plan on making your comics into a physical book and selling them? When they’re finished

I will never sell or monetise any aspect of my Tintin fanwork! Moulinsart, who currently own Tintin, are very litigious.

Adam Murphy, a Tintin fanartist who drew various crossover art depicting Tintin has been hit with a cease and desist, simply for creating fanart.

Go send him some love and support here!

I really appreciate the interest in a physical copy though, thank you for reaching out. I do what I do simply because I want my stories to exist.

It's frustrating that a company that isn't even putting out any new stories is so possessive over IP, fanwork is a significant thing that is keeping Tintin relevant today. He persists despite Moulinsart.
