I laid back on the grass. I had been here a week and yeah it was going well, yeah I talked to Seth almost nightly. But I was beginning to feel a tiny bit homesick already.  It sucked.

Hey guys~ I’m so sorry for going missing again, long story short I haven’t been able to have access to my desktop computer and post regularly due to guests coming and going! I hope you accept this screenshot as my apology, as these two might just be in the works for something coming soon!

Being the middle ground in my family is so tiring. Hopefully everyone in this house can try and see more openly about things and try to be a little bit kinder and understanding! Here’s to hoping.

!!!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT !!!!!

Adam sat tenuously on the bed. His heart pounded as Éme grabbed his hands, so very large, and placed them against the bump under his clothes, so very small. “There,” Éme whispered, “… and there. Can you feel her?” Adam’s eyes widened a bit. “Her? But then—”

“I got the paternity results this morning.” Éme arched his back, pushing the small bump firmer into the palm of his hand. “She’s yours Adam. We’re going to have a little girl.”

After Doreen left, Ailith glanced at the clock and decided it was lunch time. If Gabriel hadn’t had breakfast like she’d suspected, she at least wanted him to have a filling lunch. While she was picking ingredients out the fridge, Gabriel leaned on the wall behind her.  G: My mother is intimidating. Often you can’t get a word in, so sorry about her. His voice was tired and seemed uninterested but she ignored the tone. It was better than silence. A: That’s fine. I’ll just have to discuss that stuff with her on the phone or something. Do you want something to eat? She wasn’t afraid of Gabriel, but the silence ate at her stomach awaiting his reply. She continued to pull out ingredients if not for him, for herself. G: Maybe later. I’m going back to bed. He said it with finality, maybe trying to be hostile but Ailith was just happy he didn’t stomp on the idea of actually eating some real food. Perhaps she was making progress with him.

D: I’ve got to go, my assistant can’t seem to hold up any kind of business without cracking. We’ll have to continue this another time. It was a pleasure meeting you Ailith. Doreen turned back into another person before Ailith’s eyes, the same person as she was when she walked in. D: Gabriel, behave yourself. I’ll be in soon, so don’t cause too much  ruckus. Come hug me. The way she spoke to Gabriel stunted Ailith, it seemed as cold as she was when she was talking on the phone. A bit of her felt sorry for him, living with a confusing multi-faceted mother. Gabriel got up from the lounge and rubbing his temples, hugged his expectant mother. It was strange to see. Perhaps Ailith was too judgemental, but Gabriel and his mother didn’t seem like the loving type.

Ailith stood up, not wanting to offend Gabriel’s mother when she admitted his hostile behaviour. Hopefully less eye contact would soften the blow. A: About that.. She prepared to tell Doreen about considering letting her move out, despite her lease being brand new. Doreen interrupted her by standing up, receiving a call. Her warm expression turned business-like. D: Yes? Doreen continued the conversation in a hushed voice and Ailith tried to avoid listening, to give her privacy. Gabriel still looked uninterested. After her conversation on the phone, Doreen glanced up at the two of them, sighing.
