he's my kindly-but-serious music teacher!! his parents were traveling musicians and while he was never a child prodigy he has always loved music.

a lot of the students love him because he's very patient and nurturing, and will spend any amount of time to help students who behave well and want to learn. however, he takes NRC very seriously, and is strict on anyone who breaks its rules.

he went to NRC as a boy as well, and has always been a little bit in love with it. he keeps a garden on campus, and while he doesn't go out of his way to make friends, a lot of the staff at the shops and cafés on Sage's Island know him well and love spending time with him.

he is twisted from the rose from alice in wonderland! her ⬇️❤️

his name is eamon eglantine & he was originally from a family of traveling musicians until he went to nrc as a teen, loved it, then went to music school, then went back to nrc to teach and has been there for decades

he has mixed opinions from the students because he's by far the most warm and gentle teacher but unforgiving to anyone who breaks the rules

^ riddle LOVES him. he does not like riddle that much because he was also heartslabyul housewarden back in his day and he thinks riddle overdoes things. similar situation with lilia because lilia met him a couple times when he was a kid and likes to tease him about it, but he's much happier now as a teacher

his favorite students are trey because of his attitude, and those with good musical abilities like vil and malleus

however, he treats all students the same whether he likes them or not. he's very patient and nurturing and loves getting to be there for students and watch them study. there are not that many shy + meek students at nrc but those tend to get attached to him

his unique magic "june garden" sticks someone down to wherever they're standing. it doesn't work if they're flying or swimming, but it does if they're sitting or lying. whenever it comes up in conversation he blithely talks about how useful it is to never get blown away by storms however at least 25% of the students and all the staff have seen him use it as punishment in the past.

he's from the queendom of roses and his favorite foods are sweets!
