Wow, different content from me? I'm not exactly into rain world, but the slugcats are cute! So I wanted to make my own. These are practice sketches I did studying some of the art I found of slugcats online on Google to try and get a feel for drawing them.

I also made a little animation a couple of days ago trying to draw a slugcat persona.

She's not final, by any means. I'm much happier with the practice doodles design that I came up with. I plan on basing her design off a butterfly of some sort later on, when I settle on a doodle style for slugcats.

I referenced a fanart image of Xiao from Genshin I found on Pinterest, just to get the proportions right. I found the image ages ago, and if you know Pinterest you know there's a lot of reuploaded art on there. It didn't even say who did it originally, so I got no clue.

But... I just used it as a reference for proportion. I mainly did this myself, and it's loose. I'm quite happy with this. I'm a Wukong simp and... yeah I'm not ashamed

Been a while, have a cute dragon boy! XD Loved drawing Ao Lie. I tried to add horns too but... I can't figure them out for the life of me. The outfit was also hard to figure out in my style. I love the fluffy ears though.

Shadowpeach, once again! With a background this time! XD I never draw backgrounds, but I gave it a try. Simple and small, but I like it.

Background: the 2 were SUPPOSED to be baking chocolate cake together, only to derail into a food fight and then this cuteness-

Not much to say here except for fluffy hair Macaque... and I love my proportions getting better XD

So I drew my own oc as a pocket monkey from @izuke-the-zombie pocket monkeys au

This is her as a baby, smol and cute (she's eating strawberry flavoured iron treats- cause I actually have had strawberry flavoured iron pills before lol. Plus I love strawberries-)

And her a bit older (slightly darker fur and full face marking)

Her name is Milly.

I love the pocket monkeys au so much- I had to draw my lmk oc as a tiny hamster monkey lmao.

I drew Macaque being sweet again- this time at the brotherhood table. I'm not good at perspective yet lmao.

This was just a fun little sketch and practice with clip studio's shading assist that I just remembered existed- XD I had fun doing this quick doodle of a drawing. That's what I would call this anyway. The eye was my favourite as usual.

The mouth however? It was a pain. Still working on that.

Nezha just casually flipping Wukong the bird XD Originally made this for a friend who simps for Nezha, so... yeah- that's why the leather jacket and muscles. I went all out on this one. Took 2 hours but it was worth it.

He deserves more love than he gets. GIVE THE BOY ONE GOOD DAY IN THE LMK SHOW PLEASE DEAR GOD-

This is my online friend's OC/Persona for LMK, Rainbow. She basically has powers similar to Macaque, but completely different in that it's light and reflective objects she can travel through.

I just drew it, and tried out adding some colour to the eyes. I think I'm gonna be using this a lot more often, it's fun and makes colouring the eyes more interesting.

I am still learning how to shade metallic objects and fabric, go easy on that XD I am completely self taught in art, and never really learned the fundamentals before diving right in. I do art to have fun and because it's a passion. But I have improved, even I can see my own improvement.

More shadowpeach! I'm happier with this! Though Wukong's muzzle..... aaaaaaaaa I need more practice with side profile muzzles-

I am happy with this though. Mainly with Macaque. Love drawing the usually "evil" guy as a needy clingy boyfriend/husband to Wukong. Plus the lighting is really well done imo.

I realised I've done a bunch of art for LMK, but never shared my persona for this show. So here she is! She has shadow powers, but some of Wukong's as well, meant to be the monkey queen. Yes I ship her and Wukong. I still ship shadowpeach till the end, but... I just simp for Wukong and the rare occasions that I don't do shadowpeach, I'm thinking of her interactions with Wukong.

I won't do much ship art of her and Wukong, due to how similar they are. I kinda just had the idea in my head of how she would look without ever drawing her until now. Plus this was initially gonna be a Wukong sketch... but... I wanted to do my OC instead.

I am well aware it isn't perfect, but I just wanted to show a concept more than anything. Also here are the wips:

I'm glad that I can draw decent at least- trust me I've seen so many amazing artists who seemingly have everything figured out... I don't yet. And that's ok. I'll get better over time and practice. I'm mainly happy with the fire and background in this one.

This AU has like... 0 ideas. I just wanted to draw Redson and came up with this neat idea.

"WUKONG!!" Macaque screeched, jolting up from the laying position he was in. His tail curled around himself, his eyes flashing in fear...

"Mm... Macaque...?.." Wukong mumbled beside him, sitting up slowly before he realised what happened. "Hey... I'm right here..." he softly spoke, running his paw through Macaque's hair fur. "Its ok.... nothing's gonna happen...."

"But... b-but I-I was...!"

"Shhh... you didn't.... the bone demon really got to your head didn't she?.... come on... lay back down sugarplum... I got you..."

Macaque slowly laid back down, his eyes closing as he began to go back to sleep. He gripped the pillow slightly as his mind flashed with those same images.... but then he felt a touch on his hand...

Wukong rested his head against his mate, purring softly. "Shhhh... I'm right here Macaque...... I won't hurt you.... I promise..."

Holy heck this was fun to draw today- just a fun little story I wrote to go along with the art of the day lol. Shadowpeach cuddles! Macaque suffering from bad dreams because of remembering Wukong killing him, but I personally believe the bone demon just put that image in Macaque's head. Hence this being set after they reconcile and everything, but Macaque still has nightmares about it. No matter how often he's reminded it wasn't reality...

Just enjoy this, I am proud of the lighting in this. (I ONLY JUST REALISE ONE OF THE HANDS IS BACKWARDS- AAAAAAAAAA- This happens a lot but... oh well, I know it's there so I'll just be mindful of that in the future lol.)

LMK AU! Working on more refs, but only young Macaque is done so far.

So, the idea. Based on the song "tale of the shadow". Macaque being the captain in that song and his family my friend and I created being the crew members that die.

The story then centres around the brotherhood trying to find it, finding Macaque and trying to help him, seeing he was completely blind... but he refused and ran off into the shadows, disappearing.

Centuries go on, no one finds anything. Until MK and the group. Wukong told MK of the shadow, and the dangers it brought. But he also spoke of Macaque, not knowing if the two were connected.

Basically it's just a sea trip that leads to them finding the shadow, and Macaque aboard the ship, connecting the 2. That's all the idea I have so far, but shadowpeach will be involved.

Unfortunately, I need to plan things better. I have a CSP file for all the refs, so they end up consistent sizes....

I have 25 more refs to do. Not even all the characters. This Macaque one took 40 minutes. 17 hours it'd take me if all of them take that long ;w; so this is gonna be a slowly developing project- but I'm calling it Captain of Shadows for now.

Wukong screenshot redraw! I think this needs 0 explanation-

I did my best. I did a few anatomy practice sketches of Wukong yesterday so here are those!

Of course I had to add Shadowpeach, plus a couple of chibi sketches. I wasn't putting much pressure on myself with these, just wanted to draw to get something out on paper. Either way, I see improvement.

Shadowpeach angst edition XD

Just some angst of Macaque being far too insecure over his scar. Think of this as a predecessor to my last shadowpeach artwork, so it ends happily, it just doesn't start that way.

That traditional sketch became a digital artwork that I am really happy with- Mink again everybody! I tried to add the texture to replicate the flickering blue he had in the episode.
