After watching a random celebrity “What’s in my bag?” video, I got curious (or maybe just nosy, lol) and started asking everyone the same question. So, what’s in your bag? Or, if you’re not the type to carry one, what’s in your pockets?

i looooooooove seeing what’s in people’s bags. im 100% a bag person—and a huge bag, mind you.
frankly, i dont understand how some people can carry around cute little bags with like a handful of items that all lay really nicely and don’t look crowded in photos ??? this is what i took to work today. positively ridiculous amount of items that i didn’t touch once. but that’s ok because when i got home i realized i had my whole bag, didn’t pack my keys, and had locked myself out! so. i had everything i needed to pass the time waiting for my roommate to let me in ;)
edit: sorry about the handwriting.

recent-ish photos. it’s a bit odd to think that i’ve lived in boston for almost four years now, and likely won’t be leaving anytime soon. i don’t think i ever conceived of myself as a city person… not that it really means all that much in terms of personal identity, but the fact of the matter is that where you’re from affects how others perceive you, even if it’s just context for how you spend your days. when i travel, i’m someone who’s from boston… for whatever that’s worth.

what if i just talked about books and movies and music 24/7 and subjected everyone to this^^
gay movies. war nonfiction. 60’s country, alice in chains, and bts. all cuz my 9-5 has some stupid non disclosure requirements smh
so i got a job. the job. the big one. which is good. but…… like ethically speaking i don’t think im allowed to post photos of my bench? i dont know i can live up to my url anymore rip
i’m gonna have to turn this into a fancy drink blog or something

a little bit about my life recently…
i turned 24 today!
my graduation ceremony is next friday
i’m working as an intern at a pretty reputable violin shop, which may possibly lead to a more permanent position.. fingers crossed
i’ve started playing the violin with a couple bands i know from my work at a vintage shop, doing mostly acoustic rock with one and 60’s reggae/motown with the other! fun stuff
those are the basic bullet points, i guess. i’m in a period of a lot of uncertainty and change and discovery right now, which i’ve definitely been through before… i don’t think i’ve ever continued to live my life through the uncertainty, though. so maybe this time i feel the changes and don’t just process by closing my life off from other people. i think i tend to want to sort my problems out on my own and only interact with others once i feel presentable and resolved. perhaps i’ll try something new this time :)

recently was informed that a former classmate and friend of mine believes that i didn’t earn my internship that im currently at through merit… i could speculate as to how exactly he thinks i got it, but i do know that he thinks i took advantage of something (?) to get it and didnt earn it through my work. so that’s really cool. good to know misogyny is alive and well in my government as well as my social circle…
do i have to be ugly to be allowed success? if im pretty and unsuccessful am i a bimbo? if i’m the wrong type of pretty and successful am i a manipulator? if im ugly and unsuccessful am i worthless? do women have to be the right amount of attractive and the right amount of successful to be deserving of respect? hmmmmmmmmm

Unpopular opinion but if you don't enjoy the process you should find a different thing to do.
And I think this is true in general but now I'm talking about it in the context of AI.
If you don't enjoy making art and only care about the end piece and how it'll look and how much traction it"lol get online then making art is not something for you, find something you enjoy from start to finish.
Same goes for writing: if you do not enjoy writing and rewriting and then some more and instead want AI to write for you, being a writer is not something you should pursue.
Sure, not every part of creative process is going to be equally enjoyable but you should get satisfaction from solving the problems along the way and you should get a sense of accomplishment on your way of "making the piece yours" and you should have a sense of ownership once you are done.
None of these things will come from typing in a prompt into chatGPT. And I am sad to see so many people are missing on the opportunity to experience the joy of making something with their own hands and brains.
Just give it a try and if you don't like it don't do it again.
But also don't let the expectations of it coming out perfect ruin the fun you are having while making the thing. Because what if I told you this: having fun while creating is the actual purpose of the creative process, not whatever comes out of it.

extended stay in the city involving concerts, specialty goods stores, vintage clothing, and tea <333
i was like… a hardcore army back from 2016-2020, so i just barely missed hyyh and was thwarted in my efforts to see them live by covid, so this was a very full circle moment for me. the rest of this trip was very much just seeing friends and hitting up niche goods stores that simply do not exist in boston. and i was back on my “begging for a job” grind. ugh. i need someone to hire me and spare me this humiliation pleaseeee.

a lot has changed in my life recently, what with the ending of school and all. finding/creating internal structure for myself once the external structure has run its course is something i imagine will be a pervasive work in progress for years to come… still here. still working. enjoying the little things that come along in the meantime.
additionally, i’ve been very into the harney & sons soho flavored black tea ! smells like almond joys, tastes like…. well, black tea. pairs well with my new knitting project, which is just a simple roll-neck raglan for summer in a nice shade of blue.
