Reading all the posts about the "Peculiar Wonderland Challenge" while hearing my SO laughing at the awful German translation "Garten der Gelüste" (garden of desires... "Gelüste" indicates "sexual desires" for something). Really mihoyo? Please change your translator. The German translation is awful! And not even accurate most of the time while playing the story.
#genshin impact peculiar wonderland#genshin impact#There are gamers out there not able to understand certain parts of the storyline when switching to English sub and dub#I can't imagine how awful other translations are sometimes

Kaeya requesting homework left me incredible confused. At least, I got to admire my man and was left with the feeling that Venti wants him to talk to Diluc about whatever that is, that keeps them pissing each other off when they clearly care so much for the other's wellbeing.

Genshin Impact gives me everything I have ever wanted since playing Spellforce 2 fifteen years ago: different characters to fight with, an amazing storyline, an open world just for me to explore and so many things to do because of all those events taking place.
Took me 4 weeks to get to AR 45. I love all my 4 star characters, especially Kaeya (gosh I love his design) and my only 5star Xiao.
I'm f2p and let me tell you: you don't need to invest money to get the characters you want. They are rerunning banners now and will continue so because people joined the game later, like I did. Primos are easy to get with how many events are placed back to back. Just be patient. I really hate to see all the complaints from f2p gamers to not get enough stuff from the game (You get a lot!)
But! One thing: I'm glad that there are people out there to invest their money so we f2p are able to enjoy such a great game, game design and storyline. I hope the game will be as easily accessible and enjoyable for us f2p in the future as well.

I thought Delaware is the english word for really fancy ceramic tableware.
hold on a fucking second. delaware is a state?? i thought it was a river? or is the river more important than the state? why don't i know this? (i should mention i don't like in america, i'm just confused)
there is delaware (state) and delaware (river)
both are equally strange
the state is a tiny little cryptid thing
the rive is a monster that spans new york, pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware. also washington crossed it once and that was like kinda a big deal i guess. like crossing the rubicon in rome.
the state tries to me more important with its “im the first state!!!” bs (seriously its even on the fucking license plates) but we all know. its the river.
#delaware#I'm learning new stuff every day#Still don't know what Delaware is but I'm living for this post

“Why do fanfic writers want comments all the time?”
Well, I dunno about everyone, but I’ll tell you why I want them and I think many other writers might agree.
Fanfic is a performance. It’s not just I write the story and then readers read it like a book. That’s what I’m writing a book for.
The theoretical advantage that fanfic writing has for the writers is that our audience is immediately available to us. We can know who they are and interact with them directly. So rather than a detached author/reader relationship, it might be better to re-frame it as a performer/audience relationship.
Think of me as a stand-up comedian. I’m not necessarily trying to make you laugh, but I am looking for a reaction.
I live for the applause… applause… I live for the applause-plause, live for the *shot*
The problem is… I often feel as though I’m entertaining a bunch of empty seats. That’s what it’s like. Hits don’t mean anything, they could just as easily indicate someone came in, heard my pitch, and walked out.
Don’t think of a fanfic as a book, as something you read and then can’t engage with the author about. Think of the writer as a performer, an actor who needs your validation to know that they aren’t tearing themselves open on stage for an empty theatre.
Writers can’t livestream or show progress like visual artists can. All we can do is perform what we’ve worked on for you.
Kudos/likes are like applause. Reblogging/sharing is letting the writer know you told all your friends to go see the show too. Comments are like when a person goes up to the performers after any kind of live show and tells them how wonderful it was and how much they enjoyed it. It’s the highest form of validation for our labor, which we do of our own free will, yes. It says that not only did you enjoy our work, but it affected you in some way.
What more does any artist want than to know they have moved their audience?
Writers are artists too.

I've seen a lot of posts talking about what you don't owe readers, my question is what do you owe them? I have my self prescribed obligations, but when it comes down to it, what is owed?
My personal pet peeve is when people make a big deal about the fact that fanfic is written “for free”. It’s like - I know that? It’s a hobby? I also bake cakes and put paint on a canvas for free? Because I do it for fun?
I also dislike the artificial wall that’s put up between authors and readers. So many fanfic writers started out as readers. So many of them still read fics themselves. Fanfic readers and writers are all just fans. They love the canon story or the canon universe or the canon characters and because of that love they create works that extend or alter or fix or completely change canon, just to see what it would be like.
We’re all passionate. We all love so much. To me, what we owe each other is what everyone always owes everyone else. Kindness. Understanding. Taking a moment to consider another person’s circumstances or point of view.
We owe each other shared joy in a creation, shared love of (or frustration with) canon, and a shared desire to enjoy ourselves in whatever form that takes.
If you don’t want to create, don’t create. If you don’t want to comment, don’t comment. If you want to do all of the things, do all of the things. None of those things are owed. None of them are obligations. All of them should be done because we’re a community of people who have come together to delight in a thing and because creating and commenting and sharing are how we express that delight and our appreciation of each other.
All of that is to say that we owe it to each other to treat each other like human beings, with kindness and respect. Anything more than that is a choice.

I'm genuinely interested in why people are writing so many one shots tagged with "no plot just porn". Is the porn industry so focused on pleasuring men that women feel the need to indulged into their fantasies by writing porn as fanfics?
Please enlight me.

I'm really disappointed in the books. I don't think it was necessary for the author to put Xie Lian on so many missions. The love story could have played out without them. Those missions seem so forced and don't get me started with all those characters who the main protagonist is dealing with. The heavenly court is a mess. The books try to portrait to many characters at once. Topics that would have been interesting were dropped in favor of the Green Ghost running around and screaming at the top of his lungs. I'm at the beginning of book 4,but let me tell you: I skimmed through a lot because I had no interest in yet another mission or another character. I wanted to know more about Hua Cheng...
I do recommend every anime watcher to read them, at least the first one and maybe skimming through the third one and reading the ending of book 5.

So we have Izuku and Katsuki who are kinda aware that the Todoroki family has issues. We have Hawks who has a problematic background and is connected to the Todoroki family because of Endeavor's mission back in the days and Hawks' connection to the League through Dabi (and somehow to Touya as well). Then there is Shigaraki who comes from an abusive home himself and is theoretical speaking connected to Dabi as well because of that.
Why Best Jeanist?
I can't put into words how much the new chapter dissapoints me. In my opinion there is no room for Best Jeanist to fit into all this. He has no place to talk about how Dabi is handling the abuse of his father and the traumatic memories that came with it.
I'm really starting to loose interest in this manga.

Me describing the jjk plot to my SO:
"There is this funny boy who eats fingers to gain strength in order to protect a pretty stranger. Then he gets recruited by a magic school, but they are working with curses, so no Harry Potter. But he has a death sentence hanging over his head and he tries to save as many people as possible to make the most out of the time he has gotten left. The philosophy of the anime is death and how others are handling death as outsiders, friends etc etc. There are so many pretty characters! It's a mixture of Tokyo Ghoul and Bleach.
What my SO hears:
"The main character eats demon fingers."
Took my SO four weeks to finally watch the first episode, got so hooked up with the show that they binged through to the latest episode and scold me for my bad description of the plot.

Fanfiction: Inumaki Toge/Fushiguro Megumi
Takes place after Panda and Toge jump in, to defend Megumi and stop the fight between Toudou Aoi and him.
Details: A/B/O Dynamics, Alpha Inumaki Toge, Omega Fushiguro Megumi, Established Relationship, Courting, Hurt/Comfort [...]
Link: Free Fall
[Reblog is welcomed]
Sneak peek
[...]
That guy…for a moment he had thought that the Alpha would kill him. And those eyes had spoken volumes about the other’s intent; each second another fist had hit his face. He shivers at the thought of dying such an awful death. What a pitifully death this would have been. How shameful to almost get killed by an Alpha, in a student fight none less. Megumi chokes on his own spit, attracting Panda’s attention again. Inumaki-senpai stops the other student from coming any closer. His head hurts, his neck too. He coughs loudly, trying to get rid of the uneasy feeling in his throat, but chokes again.
What the hell?
And then, he hears the quiet cooing coming from Inumaki-senpai and his ears are meet with his own pitiful sounds. He whines loudly. His omega-side is still distressed from the fight; still confused about the high level of violence that Alpha had put into their fight without any regards of Megumi’s second gender. Inumaki-senpai brushes a thumb over his cheeks in an attempt to soothe his raging instincts. Nothing helps. His own hands find the other’s clothes. He pulls the Alpha closer to his wounded body.

Don't you think it's really weird that Gojou does everything in his power to avoid the executions of his chosen students? And his reason for becoming a teacher: sounds suspicious. He is gathering a group of people who are able to live in the new world of sorcerers, he tries to build without those old men restraining him. And then we have little story about the Gojou and the Zen'in Clan's feud where he draws the parallels between the two clan leaders who killed each other and himself and Megumi.
I'm getting Sinbad (Magi) vibes with Gojou here.
As much as I love him, he is really creeping me out.

Six years too late to join that Fandom (tmr) probably isn't the worst, but shipping a rare pair and reading the same five fics over and over again has gotten me to the point where I'm planing my own fanfic...
I can hear my unfinished works crying in the background... Sry
