Maye’s Route:
‘...Did I push her too hard with training?’
Johann aimlessly paced around the dorm in silence, trying to draw up conclusions to how Maye had suddenly fallen ill. The pinkette was perfectly fine yesterday, performing at her usual best during training with no complications until she had fallen over at one point and never got back up again. As her senior, of course it was my responsibility to look after her right now.
But where did it go wrong? Was the training programme too much for her body to handle? Has she been eating properly in the past few days? Have I been ignorant to her well-being? Why hasn’t she told me she wasn’t feeling well? I thought she could handle herself well, so I allowed her to do as she wishes for as long as she keeps up the routine with no trouble.
“...I thought I told you to reside in me.” Johann muttered under his breath as his gaze lingered onto Maye’s unconscious form with dejection evident in his aureate eyes.
Clouded with his broody concern, Johann carefully sat on her bedside as his eyes remained fixed onto the girl’s flushed visage, making sure not to disturb her much needed slumber from his movement. Maye’s usual ivory skin had lost its warmth as all of its been transferred and set ablaze to her reddened cheeks. She was sweating and shaking profusely, quiet yet heavy breaths leaving through her parted mouth. Johann never thought he’d see this girl look so vulnerable and weak when she was always so tough and faced through obstacles with a head strong mindset.
He gently reached over to take the damp washcloth already placed on her forehead before leaning over to the side to wet it once again with cool water. Johann then wiped her sweat away using the cloth with a feathery touch, but also took the time to observe her features. Her warm breath ran through the side of his hand whenever it was near her mouth. One of her eyes would twitch in response when the cold cloth came in close contact with her temple. The way her luscious lashes would kiss the top of her cheeks with every breath she took, suddenly realising that she had a small beauty mark found under her left eye.
Johann couldn’t look away ━ he couldn’t look away from how tired Maye looked. He shouldn’t have pushed her into this state.
“Guh...” Maye’s calm expression morphed into one in pain, biting down on her lip.
“...Maye?” Johann whispered and quickly pulled his hand away, afraid that he might have woken her up by accident. He was sure she didn’t want him to see her in this state, preparing himself to bolt out of the room once her eyes began to open.
But her eyes never opened, yet her face remained in disdain. Maye’s shaking got worse and began to whimper under her breath, shuffling her head from side to side as if she was trying to escape from something. Something Johann couldn’t identify at first before realisation struck.
‘A nightmare? Of course, it must be.’
“Mmph...” Maye whimpered, tears began rolling down her cheeks. “Please don’t... You’re all... I have left...”
Johann’s eyes widened at her whimpers, feeling tremendous sadness weighing down at his shoulders. This feeling was familiar. He understood well.
He then grabbed one of her gloved hands and held it close to his chest, using his other hand to caress her loose fringes away from her tear-stricken face. This was something he faintly remembered his mother did for him as a child whenever he had nightmares that left him thrashed in fear.
“Maye,” He spoke in a hushed voice. “Don’t be afraid anymore. I am here to stay by your side.”
Johann rested his palm onto her cheek, feeling its warmth melt the iciness of his chilly touch. He raised her gloved hand to his lips and laid a gentle peck onto her nimble fingers. He wasn’t sure why he was doing this in the first place. At first, it was simple concern for his junior but after today, he wanted to protect her youth and her life. Johann knows she doesn’t need nor asked for it, but he felt like he needed to stay by her side. And with that, Maye’s painful whimpers reduced to quiet breaths and was sent back into a peaceful slumber once again.
“...I’m sorry I was neglectful. I’ll take this responsibility even more seriously from now on.”
Take as long as you need. I’ll be waiting for you.
Sol’s Route:
“Luminous? Where are you taking that blanket?”
“Oh hey, boss!” Luminous greeted the blonde, “Sol was working her shift as a bartender all night and immediately crashed onto the couch. I was about to cover her up━”
“Give it to me.” Caesar cut him off and motioned to the blanket with his hand.
“Huh━Oh okay?” With no second questions asked, Luminous quickly handed it over with confusion clear in his eyes.
“I’ll do it. Johann is calling for you anyways.” Caesar huffed before walking away from the younger male.
“...Al...right?” The brunette scratched his head as he stared at the Caesar’s back before dismissing his odd behaviour, leaving the bar after the strange exchange.
It was already the early hours of morning, so no one else was downstairs at the bar. Caesar found Sol laid dead sleep on her back with her hands intertwined on her stomach as gentle puffs of air left through her partially parted lips. She must’ve been so exhausted to have decided to sleep on the couch with her uniform still on.
“...You shouldn’t sleep here, flower. You’ll crumple up your petals.” Caesar spoke to her as if she was awake. “You’ll feel terrible once you’ve awaken.”
Caesar then decided to carry her upstairs, so she can rest comfortably in her room. It wouldn’t sit right with him if he left her out here in the open when she’s vulnerable. Who knows what kind of wolf would attack her in her sleep? No way was he leaving her in this state. And so, the blonde quickly and cautiously wrapped her up into a ‘burrito’ with the blanket he took before carrying her like a princess. He could already hear and imagine Sol’s embarrassment if she’d been awake and it’d be wrong of him to simply touch her without her permission, so this is the best he could do for now.
“Mm...” Sol mumbled something under her breath but remained in her deep slumber, causing him to sigh in relief.
Once they’ve reached their destination, Caesar managed to open the door to her room despite having his hands full and fumbled to open the lights to avoid tripping over with Sol still in his arms. That wouldn’t be very ideal.
“...And down we go.” He made sure to take her shoes off in an attentive manner before partially undoing the blanket he wrapped her with initially and then covered her with another blanket found on her bed. She should be warm at least. He didn’t want her to catch a cold, especially knowing how Sol doesn’t look after herself often since she’s busy taking care of everyone else around her.
Caesar scanned over her sleeping form to make sure she’s well tucked in. He then reached over to unclip her hair and made sure to move her hair away from her face. As he did so, his cerulean eyes gazed at Sol with warmth and silently wished for her to have a sweet, peaceful dream.
“Ah...!”
But once he decided to turn around to leave the room, something had suddenly grasped onto his hand that caused Caesar to gasp in surprise. Sh!t, did he wake her up? After being so careful not to━
“...I didn’t kill.” Sol whispered in fear, her hand gripped Caesar’s in a tight hold. “...I’m sorry... I’m sorry.”
“Another nightmare...?” Caesar muttered under his breath, worry and uncertain coated his thoughts.
He knew about her nightmares, but that was only because Sol would often have dark eyebags under her eyes every time he asked if she had been sleeping properly. Sol would only dismiss it and describe it as her feeling ‘restless’ or was ‘too excited for the next day’ to sleep, so he didn’t think much of it.
Seeing her in this state made him feel a variety of emotions he couldn’t describe with one word. Caesar didn’t get a clear grasp of Sol’s mysterious past and asking Anjou wasn’t much of help. All he knew from her was that it was something she didn’t want to be reminded of. Although he wanted Sol to trust him and be open with her feelings, he wanted to make sure Sol was ready and that she would be comfortable talking about it first before anything.
That’s how much he respected this girl.
“...Just this once.”
Caesar then kicked his shoes off to the side with Sol keeping her hold onto his hand for dear life. He managed to find a way to lay down next to her side on top of the blankets and kept some space between them while holding onto each other’s hands. As the blonde got comfortable, he attentively observed her expression as he caressed her hands to soothe her in a calming manner. All he could thought of how horrible it must have been for her to be dealing with this in silence and how much smaller and colder her hands were in comparison to his. Caesar kept does this until Sol was at peace and loosened her grip onto his hands.
But, he made no move to let go nor leave the room. Caesar didn’t want Sol to be alone right now.
“...When the world turns its back on you,” Caesar whispered as he laid her hands against his beating chest. “I’ll be there for you no matter what, Sol.”
You deserve more than a peaceful slumber.
Thalia’s Route:
“...Where is that girl?”
Classes have ended at this time. The setting sun brought life upon the campus as students move around like sweeping shoals of fish. Indistinct chatter from the busy crowd enveloped Luminous’ bewildered form as he tried to search through the blur for a certain red-head but to no avail.
“Um... excuse me? Have you seen a short girl with long red hair? Kind of mean-looking?” Luminous attempted to ask one of the students that passed him.
“Oh? The witch?”
“Ah, no.” The brunette smiled awkwardly. “She usually wears a sport black headband and has bandages covering her arms━”
Once he gave that description, the student looked at him alarmingly. “The witch’s apprentice?!” He yelped, scurrying away from Luminous in panic. “I-I don’t know!”
“W-Wait..!”
Luminous sullenly stared at the students’ retreating form from a distance until they disappeared out of his sight. He turned around, shaking his head and let out the deepest sigh. Thalia, what exactly have you done to the point where everyone fears the mention of your presence?
“Luminous? What are you doing standing there?” A familiar voice called out to him.
With that, Luminous turned around to face none other than the sun herself, Sol. The tall greenette looked at his wide-eyed expression with a warm smile upon her gentle features. The sun’s rays enveloped her presence, creating a halo around her form and making her look like she had dropped from the heavens to aid him. At least that’s how she looked like in his eyes.
‘My saviour!’ He wept internally. “Oh Sol!” Luminous snapped himself back to reality. “I was looking for... a friend?”
“Pfft.” Sol giggled, covering her mouth with her hand. “What’s with the questionable tone? Are they really your friend?”
“Ahh, it’s complicated.” He sighed, “I’ve been trying to look for her, but I can’t find her anywhere. I thought she was training, but Nono told me she didn’t even show up.”
“Oh?” The girl wondered for a while before realising who he was talking about. “Are you talking about my roommate, Thalia?”
Luminous almost screeched out of surprise. Roommate? With Thalia? How is this girl alive? “O-Oh, she’s your roommate?”
Sol only laughed at his dumbfounded face, “hahaha, yes! That sweet girl is my roommate.”
Sweet? Was she talking about the same Thalia? Or was she brainwashed?
“I was actually about to head back to the dorm to drop her off some food.” She continued, lifting her arm to show the brown bag she was carrying. “She messaged me earlier that she’ll be resting in and I happened to be cooking at that time, so I thought I’d make her food.”
Luminous simply gaped at the girl and Sol simply continued to smile at him.
“...But, I actually need to do something beforehand with Caesar about the festival we’re preparing.” Sol said while giving him the brown bag. “Do you mind dropping this off to her? There’s extras too so you can eat together! Also, here’s the key to the dorm in case she doesn’t let you in.”
“Wait━!”
“Thanks in advance!” Sol chirped before frolicking away from his flabbergasted form. “The food is still warm, so make sure that you both eat it soon! Bye~!”
Luminous had no choice but to comply.
By the time he stood at Thalia’s dorm room, he sighed for the umpteenth time before knocking the door. However, there was no response. Was she not in yet? Did she leave before he got the chance? Why was he even here in the first place?
After a moment of convincing himself to stay, he pulled out the key given and unlocked the door before entering in a hushed manner. Thalia’s dorm was exquisitely neat and proper, everything had been placed away in an orderly fashion. The lights were open when he entered and placed the bag down on her tiny kitchen table, but there was no signs of Thalia to be found.
“..Sniff... Sniffle.”
Luminous turned towards the direction of her room as soon as he heard muffled grunts and whimpers. He already felt uncertain about invading her dorm and was already getting ready to leave once he dropped off the food, but it sounded like Thalia was in pain.
“M-Mother...” Thalia’s cries were getting louder with every step he took towards her room. “...die.”
As soon as her stepped into her dimly lit room, Luminous found Thalia weeping in her sleep with her head sticking out from the duvet she had wrapped herself in. He wasn’t sure what he was doing but the next thing he knew he was already sitting by her bedside, reaching over to wipe her tears away.
“Mother..!” Thalia cried desperately, “don’t leave me..! I’m scared...”
“Shh...” Luminous hushed the sleeping girl, caressing her hair in a comforting way. “It’s only a nightmare...”
His heart somehow ached for the red-head and found himself relating to her in a way. He never really knew who his parents were, but at one point in his life he had questioned them for abandoning him. This world was swollen with humanity and barbaric beings that aim to create chaos upon society. How was he━no, how were they expected to survive this tyrannical world on their own?
Luminous always had a difficult time trying to cooperate let alone speak to her without instigating a fight. But at this moment, he shoved all his bitter feelings for the girl and replaced them with determination to try to get her to trust him at least. Seeing Thalia cry like a child left an aching feeling in his heart and it’d leave him miserable if he had chosen to leave her alone. As Luminous continued to comfort the motionless girl, she seemed to have calm down and had rested her cheek against the palm of his warm hand, snoozing off to la la land. Now, he really had no choice but to stay.
“...The troublesome things you make me do.”
I’ll be here with you, no matter what.
Elena’s Route:
“Mmf...”
“Master, I can━”
“It’s fine, Sakura.”
Chisei shifted Elena on his back who was currently dosing away with her face buried on his shoulder. He was trying his best to hide away his embarrassment, but the way she breathed gently at his ear and smelt the sweet essence of cinammon coat his nostrils almost sent him into cardiac arrest. Elena was forced to accompany him by Caesar to a small mission during their stay at Japan, so she wasn’t very thrilled and complained the whole way. To make amends, Chisei asked her what she’d like and she quickly demanded with no hesitation to give her a piggy back ride while she took a nap during their way back to the palace.
And so, here they were with Sakura tailing behind him as they made their way to drop the unconscious girl at her assigned room.
“Sakura, go ahead and prepare her room to sleep comfortably in.”
“Understood.” And she was gone.
As he was now left alone with the girl, he let out an audible huff and readjusted Elena again once he felt her slowly slipping off his hold. Chisei didn’t even know how or why he agreed to this, or why he even asked what she wanted in the first place.
Chisei further plunged deeper into his thoughts about the girl on his back. If anyone had to describe Elena in a way, it would be that she’s free-spirited. She was possibly the only person who had openly mocked & flirted with him right at his face with no ounce of shame. She was a strange bundle of eagerness and determination, especially in times where he would’ve had no other option but to choose the latter.
In his eyes, Elena felt like a daydream: typically childish, careless at times but powerfully vivid and joyful. A daydream he could never imagine himself.
“...ken.”
His ears perked at the sound of her mumbling, “Elena, are you up?”
“...Chicken tenders!”
Nevermind. She’s fast asleep.
Elena inaudibly continued to mutter and grumble about some ridiculous dream she’s currently having, causing Chisei to sigh once again. Even in her sleep, she still manages to talk his ear off until she suddenly goes silent. The hands that held the side of his shoulders tightened their hold and felt her breathing go heavier with every breath.
“Papa..?” She shakingly whispered, “w-where did you go..? C...ome back home.”
Chisei paused his footsteps, processing the words she just said. Was she dreaming about her father?
“...Sniffle. Why...” Elena started to sob in her sleep, “...leave me... alone?”
Her silly childish dream turned into a dark & dreary nightmare. Chisei wasn’t sure what to do, but ‘purposely’ nudge her awake. That should be enough.
“...Mm?” He felt Elena shift her head against his shoulder. “...Are we back yet?”
Chisei was silent at first before responding with a nod of his head, “yes, did you have a good dream?”
He couldn’t tell what expression Elena was making right now and didn’t want to turn to see if she was fine. The way she was starting to cry in his arms left an odd feeling in his heart, twisting his stomach in an unfamiliar way.
“...” It was Elena’s turn to go silent before letting out a forced chuckle. “Sleeping on the shoulders of the High Patriarch is the best, huh?”
She dodged the question and joked around, returning to silence and laid her head on his shoulder once again. Chisei knew she might’ve also been forcing a smile at him when she replied. He felt conflicted: on one side he felt relieved that she didn’t tell him the truth and played it off like nothing. He was never the type to be sympathetic towards others, especially with one that was fated to be his enemy one day.
But on the other hand, Chisei wished she told him the truth. He wanted her openly trust him like she’s always been open with her thoughts and emotions. He wanted to get to know her better. However, but it was too much to ask for the both of them.
“I’ll drop you off to your room so you can continue to rest.” Chisei mentioned after a while, “Good job today.”
She returned to him with a muffled reply, “...thank you, Chisei.”
Once Chisei dropped her off and exchanged their farewells for the night, he walked off with his head up in the clouds and had a serious expression evident on his features. Even though not asking about it was for the best, he couldn’t help but feel disappointed in himself. He should’ve at least━
“...No, it’s a waste of my time. I should be content with where we are for now.”
I hope our worlds never collide. It’s for the best.

What kind of friend are they? - Vine Edition (OC HC ft. DR NPCS)
i felt like doing this because I’m bored so here we gooo
found in masterlist
maye - the ‘i don’t need friends they disappoint me’ friend:
“you need friends ?? for what?”
maye bby, pls give attention to your friends
she’s usually forced to hang out w/ the group and socialise (thanks to Lumi), so she’s a grumpy bean
her social skills are -393493 rating so she stands there and judges everything quietly
nono also forces her to join in with shopping and maye can’t say no when there’s a gun being pointed at her back
also gets forced into wearing clothes that nono picks for her
“that dress looks so good on your figure. do you like it??” “...i want to sleep.”
sleep > friends
one time finger teased maye for her ‘bland personality’
“...so that’s what’s wrong with me?” cue finger panicking and feeling hella guilty
so finger ‘baked’ her sugar cookies the next day to apologise but maye just shrugs because it wasn’t that bad nor does she remember what happened
“i don’t care” (she accepts them anyways)
actually cares for her friends, but won’t show it
“I care about you, don’t you feel the same?” “who knows”
but hurt her friends?? her new family ?? don’t even try unless you’d like a gun shoved up your as—
ahem,, just be wary
sol - the ‘mothertrucker dude, that hurt like a buttcheek on a stick’ friend:
she’s supportive !! loyal !! caring !!
but she’s a clumsy tol baby,,,,
trips and smashes her head against things often
finger joked about wrapping her in bubble wrap once to everyone and after realising how often she gets hurt, they’re considering the idea
when she stress cooks, she always cuts her fingers when using a knife or burns her fingers from the stove by accident
but she doesn’t pay attention because stress > own well being
pls give her bandages and emotional support
but my gOOdness, her food is heaven on a plATE
lumi and finger call her their ‘jesus mom’
she’s embarrassed but she’s v v happy when they eat her food
until the idiots decide to have a competition to see how much of her food they can eat
stress cooking = a whole buffet
“guys pls stop, you’re scaring me” “just one more bitE”
she thinks they’re going to die if they eat more, so she starts crying while she’s eating the leftovers so they don’t eat any more of her food
they instantly stop and apologise sm but crybaby sol already reached her mental breaking point so she,, just,, cries harder
this causes both dummies to cry with her
now look at what you’ve done
even from a distance, you can still hear their cries
thalia - the ‘i don’t care if you break your elbow’ friend:
yk that one vine where it went like:
“rggrhwhqAaw” “get your fckin dog bihch!” “it don’t bite” “yes it dO!”
that sums up her personality,,
stare at her for more than a sec and she’ll fight you
johann tries to stop her
keyword: tries
but if things do start getting a lil bloody, he’ll simply grab her by the waist, lifts her like an infant and walk away while she’s cursing at him and whoever she was fighting with
✨ 𝓅𝓇𝑜𝒻𝑒𝓈𝓈𝒾𝑜𝓃𝒶𝓁 𝑒𝓎𝑒𝓇𝑜𝓁𝓁𝑒𝓇 ✨
rejects offers to hangout most of the time to train, but accepts nono’s offers no matter what
thalia actually respects and admires her a lot (what a simp)
takes every chance she gets to step on finger’s toes
‘that’s what he gets for being so tall, how dare he’
if anyone tries to ask her for advice, um why??
do you want to get hurt?? do you?
she’s brutally honest for her own good and will not put up with anyone’s bs
one time she called caesar’s hair ‘piss blonde’ and he was emo for 5 months...and counting
but tbh she can be a decent friend, but she chooses no to #there’snohope
elena - the ‘i spilled lipstick in your valentino bag’ friend:
oh, she asked to borrow your notes because she fell asleep in your alchemy class? well say goodbye because she already lost them
nobody should be getting into this much trouble in just a month
unless you’re elena,,,
lowkey needs to be tied to a pole or else she’ll cause chaos
“don’t touch that—” *breaks* “oh, I did an oopsie”
zero was ordered to watch over the girl by anjou and elena was not happy
so she tried to annoy the ice queen constantly, but zero wouldn’t budge
“go away!! you’re annoying!” “no” “listen to me and shoo!” “no”
so she gave up
she always drags lumi in her mess (much to his dismay)
“where are we going?? what did you do this time??” “I dunno, I just wanted to hang out~”
then there’s 50 adams bots chasing after the duo and they’re both screaming for their life
so lumi feels like his life span shortens every second he’s with the girl
when she saw ruri kazama for the first time, she was just ???
“you’re really pretty, but not as pretty as me!” cue johann’s disappointed expression
ngl johann thinks elena is a toned down version of caesar but he can actually tolerate her presence sometimes
just sometimes,,
but we appreciate the confidence she has??

Quiet Day
just a tiny moment with the team and chisei accompanying them in chizuru before everything happened ;’)
found in masterlist
Sol’s Diary - Entry 2
These were one of those quiet days I enjoyed the most.
The gentle hum of the wind and the sweet melody sang by the birds gave me peace as I stood underneath a cherry blossom tree. Chizuru was as gorgeous as a sunny day, bright and welcoming to life. I awed at the sight before me, twirling in a circle with my arms spread out as the kimono danced with my movements.
Luminous joined me with glee as we both laughed and twirled, swaying along with the petals that whirled around us. Johann, Caesar & Chisei watched us both with amused smiles on their faces.
“Woah!” Luminous yelled as he tripped over on his own feet.
Gasping softly, I went over to his fallen form and helped the poor boy up. Luminous gladly accepted my hand and whined as he held his lower back in slight pain.
“Are you okay?” Even though I knew he’s perfectly fine, I still can’t help but get concerned over him sometimes.
“Ah, yes.” The brunette replied, scratching his cheek in embarrassment. “Thanks Sol.”
Once he turned his head up towards me, I gave him a gentle smile to display my relief but he only looked back in disappointment.
“What’s wrong?”
“...I don’t understand how you’re so tall.” Luminous pouted, crossing his arms like a child. “I’m supposed to be older than you and you’re almost taller than all girls I know.”
Eh? I didn’t think he knew more girls other than Nono and I. Besides that, I wasn’t that taller than him. We were only a few inches apart. So, I smiled awkwardly, unsure of what to respond.
“No need to be so sour, Luminous.” Caesar came over to us and stood by my side. “You can’t blame genetics that she was blessed with out of pure jealousy. It’s not a good look on you.”
“I’m not jealous!”
Johann then joined in and turned to me. “Well judging from the information listed in your profile, the database has ranked you as one of the tallest female students in Cassel. You could also easily become a model or perhaps a flight attendant.”
Huh? I understand how students are ranked by talent, but they ranked us in height too? Also, a model? A flight attendant? Johann tends to speak about random things at times, but this might have been the strangest things I’ve heard from him. I gave Johann an unsure smile but he only responded with a stoic, nonchalant expression on his face.
“I don’t think so,” I disagreed, shaking my head. “I think my looks and body are average for a model. I also have a fear of heights, so I don’t think it’ll work out.”
Flying to Japan for the mission was already a nightmare to deal with. No thanks.
“You need to be more confident Sol!” Caesar dramatically exclaimed, grasping my shoulders and shook me gently before letting me go. “You’d be a perfect model. Should I consider you to take modelling lessons then?”
“Please allow me to say no, senior.” I quickly answered, smiling at the blonde politely.
Johann let out a subtle huff and turned away from us momentarily. He seemed to have appreciated my immediate rejection to Caesar’s offer.
“Y-You! Are you laughing at me?”
“...I’m not.”
“I may also have to disagree with you Miss Sol,” I switched my gaze towards the High Patriarch who’s been quietly enjoying the exchange. “Your lovely features and the aura you carry brings life to your surroundings. It’s not often you’d meet a natural beauty like you. That’s why I chose the kimono you’re currently wearing for you since it brings out your beauty further.”
The rush of blood flooded my cheeks, making them flush a deeper red than they naturally were. I didn’t expect Chisei to openly compliment someone like that—someone like me. I’ve always thought he was a serious and dedicated man due to his position in the Hydra Clan, but I might be wrong.
“Thank you, High Patriarch.” I replied after a quick moment of silence, smiling at Chisei. “Thank you for also being kind to me and my friends. I truly appreciate it.”
“Of course, but please just call me Chisei.”
“Oh, uh—” I stammered out of nervousness. “Then please just call me Sol, Chisei.”
“As you wish, Sol.” Chisei’s subtle smile almost sent me screaming, but I kept my composure nonetheless. I didn’t think he was this charming either.
“Psst...” Luminous whispered over to Caesar. “Are we interrupting something?”
“...”
“Shall we head back?” Chisei turned to the others.
“Yes, let’s go.” Caesar replied instantly, making me stare at the blank expression on his face. Did something happen?
Both of them lead the way as Caesar and Chisei had a conversation between themselves. The three of us stood behind them with Johann and Luminous by my sides.
“Do you think we can go back here?” Luminous asked, looking at the both of us.
“Maybe.” Johann responded.
They both spoke together with Luminous doing most of the talking as I was left alone in my thoughts. My eyes wandered at the back of Caesar’s head for some reason. The expression he gave off earlier was a little strange, even though he’s back to his prideful self and is currently laughing right now with Chisei. I still felt bad for rejecting Caesar’s offer but I never dreamt or aspired to be a model. I also didn’t want to take advantage over him like that. He is my friend after all.
My heart dropped in shame and diverted my gaze towards the sky above me. The silence around us was replaced with my loud, erratic thoughts as my vision was clouded over with my anxious fears. I couldn’t even hear anyone anymore.
“Sol? Sol?”
Snapping me out of my trance, I blinked at Luminous as he waved his head at my face.
“Sorry, what were you saying?”
“There’s a takoyaki stand over there.” The young brunette pointed at the corner stand found across the street. “Please accompany me?”
Once I agreed, Luminous excitedly rushed over to the takoyaki stand but my eyes quickly shifted to a car that was driving towards us. Panic rushed in.
“Wait, Luminous—!”
I felt someone’s arm wrap around my waist, preventing me from chasing after Luminous. Before I could decipher what just happened, the car forced itself to a stop as Luminous yelped and apologised profusely before rushing to his safety. I thought my heart was going to stop and instantly let out a sigh in relief.
But, my heart definitely stopped once the arm around my waist tightened. I quickly turned my head to face Caesar who looked down at my face with a stern expression.
“Sol, you need to watch out for yourself first.” Caesar warned. “You could’ve seriously gotten hurt.”
“...Yes, I understand.”
“I hope you do.” And with that, he released his hold and motioned towards Luminous with a nod of his head.
Pressing my hand onto my chest, I let out a shaky breathe and hoped my heart didn’t explode at what just happened. My eyes carefully observed the stoplights first and made my way towards the boy who patiently waiting for me.
“Sorry about that Sol!”
I could only force myself to smile at him reassuringly and watched him request for takoyaki for the both of us. The sound of my thunderous heart boomed louder than the thoughts that whispered in my head. Caesar’s warmth continuously lingered on my back and waist when he had pressed my clumsy form against him, making me feel strange and uncertain. I need to stop or I may just die out of embarrassment.
Sol, you stupid fool. You should’ve been more careful. Don’t create any more trouble than you already have.

Over The Sea
oops I’ve been gone for a while since summer college existed, but I’m back!! here’s a short drabble of maye & sol w/ ‘renata’ [spoiler alert for lvl 87+] I think I made her a lil ooc, sorry about thattt
just a reminder: maye & sol follow the black swan bay incident story. maye has amnesia (obv doesn’t remember anything before cassel) & sol only remembers renata and the rest are history
found in masterlist
Maye’s Route
“I need to speak with you—”
“I don’t know what your affiliation is with Cassel College,” I spat menacingly. “But be aware that I don’t trust you.”
Zero’s cold, unblinking eyes stared at my hostile expression with subtle uncertainty and apprehension. Her presence alone—irritates me. Ever since I laid my eyes on her, I instantly felt every fibre of my being crawl in discomfort. She somehow managed to cloud over my thoughts and send me sufethrough a never-ending headache. What a...nuisance.
“Maye,” The blonde muttered my name with hidden fondness. “Don’t you remember?”
Only silenced answered her.
“I was searching...searching for you.” Zero trailed off before setting her fixed gaze onto me. “I didn’t know if you were alive, especially after what had happened in Black Swan Bay.”
I don’t understand what she said.
“...Who are you to me?” I crossed my arms with a frown.
“You...We were very close.” Zero replied, her expression unwavering. “We promised to stay each other’s side.”
I don’t remember any of that.
“I deeply cared for you,” She continued. “When our home was torn to shreds, the only thing I thought of was to make sure you made it out alive.”
I don’t believe what she’s saying. And yet, I knew she was telling the truth.
“So,” i raised a brow at the girl. “You clearly care and know me enough to decide whether I should live or die?”
It was her turn to stay silent, unsure of what I meant.
“Even after telling me all of this, did you expect me to praise you for letting me live?” I stalked closer to the bed where she sat up at, peering down at her face. “Is this your objective all along? To haunt me? Recognition of your achievements?”
Zero’s persevering silence only angered me further.
“Renata or Zero—Whoever you are,” I whispered into her ear. “I don’t think you knew this ‘Maye’ at all. Last time I checked, I clearly wanted to die.”
Ever since I woke up from a ‘coma’, nothing made sense to me. I thought if my life was this meaningless, I would rather die than waste someone’s time. Something about the way Zero spoke of me pissed me off. I knew she knew more about me than I was aware of, but what if it wasn’t true? I don’t trust her.
The moment I let those words sink in her brain, I quickly pulled away & gazed at her in discontent. Zero didn’t meet my unsympathetic eyes, setting her frozen stare elsewhere. She couldn’t answer me.
Clearly fed up with her, I clicked my tongue in annoyance & turned to leave the room. It was almost time for her surgery and the doctor was about to show up anytime now. I don’t want to stay for something pointless.
“One more thing you also need to be aware of Zero,” my bitterness spoke out. “The dead should just stay dead.”
My past has nothing to do with me anymore.
Sol’s Route
“R-Renata? You’re Renata right?”
The blonde, blue-eyed girl stared at my teary expression in nonchalance before nodding in response. At first, my brain told me I was relieved but my heart never felt so weary.
Those eyes—I couldn’t have mistaken them for anyone else’s but hers. Eyes that were once bright & pure like a child were now hollow pits of emptiness. It resembled of a Siberian blizzard, thick enough to block out the light from the sun. They carried no sign of warmth nor life. It was a sight that brought back memories of my deceased family and it stabbed through my soul with ease.
As I sat on the carpeted floor beside the bed Renata laid at, tears threatened to spill and instinctively looked down at my clenched fists. For some strange reason, I felt lost and angry at the same time. I was finally reunited with Renata, someone very dear to me, but why am I still not happy? I should be happy. If being with Renata isn’t enough to make me happy, then what will? Am I still forgetting something important?
Seeming to notice my despair and frustration, I felt her fingers linger on my freckled cheek. She tucked a stray lock of hair behind my ear and wiped my tears away in a gentle manner, treating me like glass. The gesture felt so comforting & familiar, but the ache in my heart worsened.
“You haven’t changed at all, have you Sol?”
There was no emotion in her tone as her cold, chilling stare observed the forlorn look at my face. I can’t tell if she was trying to reminisce the past & the genuine memories we once shared or if she was openly mocking me.
Was I overreacting? Of course nothing has changed about me. I’ve always been so feeble and useless. My memories were beginning to confuse me as my brain hopelessly juggled them around to make some sort of sense. I only remember Renata, but...
She’s not here.
“You’re the one who seemed to have changed.” I muttered under my breath, feeling my eyes run empty from tears. “You changed your name too.”
She only nodded. I stayed quiet for a moment, allowing her to caress my cheek further.
“The Renata I knew,” my fingers curled around her wrist, stopping her action. “Is dead, right?”
The sudden question caused Zero’s hand to slip out of my grasp and stared at my bitter smile with a dead look in her eyes. Agitation began to blind my vision and forcefully continued to smile at her in desperation & heartache. My expression begged for her reassurance and tell me I was being ridiculous. But, she didn’t answer me. I took that as my cue to leave.
“The doctor will be here soon.” I informed her, keeping the smile on my face before standing up to leave the room.
“Rest well, Zero.”
I don’t know you anymore.

bsvshdy I’m sorry for the inactivity! ;; I have a bunch of writing stuff saved in my drafts, so I’ll post them when I get the chance. I also got pretty busy with my summer college classes + started playing dr way too often
because.. I made a new friend !! yes I did !! (ᗒᗨᗕ)
since this post, the merging of servers have changed a lot of things and that included my club. a lot of the usual members left :/ club pres also announced that she + some members will leave but then she stated that she wanted our club to merge with another, yet that didn’t work out. So far, I don’t know what’s going on but nothing has happened ;;
but I chose to stay and messaged one of members that were still in the club to ask if they were going to stay. she said she would stay to help out aaaaand for the past few days, we ended up playing together and teaming up to increase our link points so we can form a bond (⋟﹏⋞) she’s also told me that she’s never spoken to someone for this long in the game and sindhwkwkdb saME
after we were done with dungeons, we sat by a bench and watched people duel each other whnsh and then we started gossiping/chatting about ourselves. while we spoke, our club president saw us and came over to greet us both and !!! I was very surprised but we were all speaking with each other + some members joined in the fun too. they were friendly !!
and so now I’m a gardener for the club !! our club did used to be big, but I like where it’s at rn and I didn’t feel intimidated as I used to be (ू˃̣̣̣̣̣̣︿˂̣̣̣̣̣̣ ू) this may be the end of my journey in search of friends ?? Or it could still be a work in progress ?? but who knows whejwknd ahah

Villain or Victim?
oops I haven’t written the first diary entry for thalia dhsjd - her route doesn’t follow the black swan incident from the game, but she’s still an orphan tho,, + tw: character death, distressing imagery & abuse, mention of blood

Thalia’s Diary - Entry 1
Flashback
I didn’t... I didn’t mean to do it.
“You—You monster! A vile being like you should’ve never been born!”
The crazed woman hellishly screamed at my fear-stricken face, lunging at my tiny body and firmly wrapped her fingers around my bandaged neck. Hot, painful tears rolled down my swollen, bruised cheeks as I tried to plead for my life. Her grip around my neck tightened as the seconds pass by while I poorly attempted to claw at her hands. It was getting hard to breathe.
“M-Mother! Please..! Don’t kill me..!”
Please don’t.
Hopelessly, I thrashed against the ground as my mother continued to strangle me, draining the air out of my lungs. My head was already starting to feel woozy but I still managed to muster up all the strength I had and desperately scratched her arms instead, feeling some of her blood coat my fingertips.
“You’re an abomination to this to this world! You deserve to die..!”
Please... Please let me live!
My sore throat was burning and my cries echoed against the walls of my head, shouting at the heavens in misery. But, my frenzied cries fell in silence as the heavens watched my infernal torment with cold, distant eyes. The glorious skies that I always looked up to had done nothing but look down on me. I was doomed.
“I brought you into this world... I have the right to take your life away!”
No... No... I want to live...!
All of a sudden, I felt an intense wave of heat rush through my veins and I thought that was the end of me. However, my mother jumped away from my body and horrifyingly began to scream in anguish in front of my petrified eyes. I hastily crawled away from her in fear into a corner, but I couldn’t tear my eyes away at the dark, crimson flames that coated and swallowed my mother whole. This time, it was her turn to struggle for her life and she threw & kicked the furniture in the process as if she was trying to extinguish the flames away. It wasn’t working.
My mother was dying.
I felt my breath hitch at the realisation, feeling like my heart stopped as the shivering dread dug into my skin.
This isn’t my fault.
I shouldn’t have never—
Present Time
“Thalia! Snap out of it!”
As if woken up from a dream, my mind was forcibly pushed back into reality as my eyes glared at an unfamiliar face. The shaking man looked at me in both terror and panic, silently pleading to me for his life. My glared darkened, enough to send him to his knees and make his blood run cold. He whimpered in fear as the grip I had on the collar of his uniform tightened whereas I studied his bruised face in subtle confusion. Who’s this guy? Why am I here?
“A-A demon! She’s a demon!” Someone yelled nearby.
What’s going on? I was starting to feel dizzy and felt my head pound painfully as my brain was trying to remember how I ended up being in this situation. All I remember was how I was leaving class to head back to the safety of my dorm. Why am I here? I don’t remember seeing this guy before.
“Thalia!” A firm hand gripped my shoulder to pull me away from the student as they immediately got up and scrambled away from me.
“Thalia.” My tired eyes landed onto a familiar raven-head as he looked up at me in disappointment, but I could also tell he seemed a bit worried. “Are you alright?”
“...” I didn’t want to respond as the exhaustion prevented me from doing so.
“Senpai? Is she really the newbie you were talking about?”
I was already feeling incredibly lost and quietly watched the two males in front of me. The raven-head shook his head at my lack of response whereas the unknown brunette stared at me in both concern and uncertainty.
‘Right... Wasn’t his name Johann? Who’s the lanky one?’ I thought, trying to register their faces in my head.
Johann then turned around and glared at the people who stood nearby to gossip and watch the scene unfold. “Go away.”
With his command, all of them scurried away with their tails between their legs. I didn’t even realise there were people staring at us—staring at what I’ve done. As soon as they left the three of us alone, my knees buckled beneath me and felt myself beginning to fall out of fatigue. But then, strong arms wrapped around my waist as they helped me up to keep my balance.
“Woah! That was close.” The brunette exclaimed as my eyes locked with his in shock.
“Luminous, carry her. She needs to get to the infirmary first.”
Ah, so that’s his name. I couldn’t hear anything else afterwards, but I felt myself being lifted into the air and carried away from this place. Warmth rushed to my side as my head harshly bumped against something firm, rattling the lingering thoughts in my head.
“Oh shoot..! Sorry... Um...”
My brain felt dead-tired to focus on anything and yet I ended up staring at the sight of my bloody knuckles. The bandages around my numb arms were also stained with blood and they were loose as if someone had tried to forcibly pull them off. This confused me even further.
Then, my eyes drifted towards the brunette that was currently carrying me. Quietly, I observed him and he stared back once he noticed how my stare laid upon his face. We both seemed to take in each other’s features as my steel orbs swirled with his amber ones in wonder. This boy... looks sort of lame. Yet, I can see that there’s a look in his eyes that was hidden beneath the surface as if it was afraid to see the truth.
The brunette also watched me with an odd look on his face and I can tell that he’s still wondering who I am. Although, I’ve also noticed how loud his heart was pounding against my ear and I can feel the blood rush through his veins in the arms he held my limbs with.
‘His heart is beating so loud...’
But, I didn’t mind it. His beating heart put me at ease, feeling my erratic senses finally calm down. Abruptly, something collided against my side that brought me out of my hazy state and quietly whined in response.
“Ow...”
“Luminous!”
“Ah! Sorry! Sorry!”
This brunette, Luminous, got so distracted from staring at my looks that he ended up walking & clashing us against a lamp post. He sheepishly apologised as Johann gave him a deadpanned expression before continuing to walk in front of us. Luminous was obviously embarrassed to look at me anymore, but I kept my eyes on him and watched his cheeks flush with red.
I wanted to laugh at his face, but a sharp pain jabbed at the side of my ribs and caused me to wince in pain. What exactly happened that put me in this state? Did I attack that student from earlier? Is this his blood on me then? Why? My pondering look must’ve caught his attention again, looking at me in worry at first before smiling reassuringly.
“Don’t worry,” He said. “We saw everything that happened, so it’s not your fault.”
‘What? Not my fault? There’s no way it wasn’t my fault.’
“That student schemed against you and that caused you to act violent.”Johann explained, keeping his eyes forward as we entered a building. “They will be punished as soon as possible.”
‘But I attacked and violated someone. I’ll still be punished.’
As if he read my thoughts, Johann responded: “You may not have been ‘conscious’, but you still provoked him. The CCTV cameras at that area is proof enough to claim you as the victim, so you’ll most likely receive a warning or a few days of suspension. You still need to explain to the Disciplinary Committee what happened before you ‘lost consciousness.’”
'I’m the victim? Me?’
My mother’s voiced echoed in my head: “You’ll become a tyrannous villain! You must cease to exist!”
“So really, don’t worry!” Luminous brought my attention back to him. “If you’re scared, I will take care of you as your senior!”
My bewildered expression gazed at his bright, genuine smile. I didn’t expect this at all. Has.. anyone smiled at me like that before? How strange. He’s also kind of... annoyingly amusing.
“You’re...” I began, “odd-looking.”
“W-What..?” The boy stared at me in shock, gaping at me like a fish. “What do you mean?! Here I was thinking of how pretty your face is but now your personality is just ugly!”
Once again, I laughed at his remark and ignored how painful my side was. He seemed surprised at that, angrily blushing in response and grumbled something under his breath.
“Quit your yapping.” Johann commented.
“But—!”
Luminous couldn’t even finish his sentence once he laid his eyes on my smiling face. He was giving off a dazed look in his eyes, so I brought my bandaged hands close to his face and flicked his forehead.
“Ouch! What was that for?!”
What an odd guy.

Sol’s Route
“...Is that her?”
“Yeah. She entered with Caesar.”
“What a power hungry leech. She needs to learn her place.”
Ba bump... Ba bump...
My heart aches, twisting itself in discomfort and terror. I didn’t know which was louder: the shallow whispers sprinting through my ears or the countless thoughts screaming in my head. This party was more of a social gathering for elites and other people with a high social standing from across the world. Of course, it was none other than Caesar Gattuso that hosted this event. Nono was meant to go with him, but she refused and asked me to attend in her place. I knew I shouldn’t have come here, but I couldn’t reject Nono’s request when she especially went her way to make sure I attend. Caesar had no problem with this, much to my dismay.
I stuck out like a sore thumb, feeling the cold-chilling stares digging into my back and tried my best to maintain a calm composure while sipping a glass of white wine. I don’t belong in this place. I’m a commoner—an orphan that doesn’t represent any family or whatsoever. Yet, I couldn’t help but gawk at the interior of this ballroom we’re at as everything was fully furnished with gold. The only thing great about this party so far was the food, but I only skimmed through them. I’m too stiff and nervous to eat freely in fear of embarrassing myself—and Caesar.
‘I’d rather do my alchemy homework all night than be here...’ I thought, letting out a soft melancholy sigh.
“And why is this fair lady’s beauty hidden away from the public eye?” A voice spoke out from behind me.
I swiftly turned to face Caesar with a stunned expression, almost dropping my empty wine glass out of surprise. The present smile wreathing his handsome features grew wider, yet seemed a bit apologetic for startling me out of the blue. I took a moment to appreciate his appearance and felt my rosy cheeks darken in response, realising how finer he was than the wine I drank.
“It seems like my obnoxiously good looks caught you speechless, Sol?” Caesar teased, chuckling at my embarrassment. “But aside from that, are you doing alright?”
“Ah...” I looked away from him for a moment, feeling the peering eyes staring us down before replying to him with a reassuring smile. “Yes, I’m alright. I just feel a bit out of place since this is still fairly new to me.”
Please leave me alone. People are staring.
Even as I smiled up at him, my body language gave everything away and felt myself twiddle my thumbs out of nervousness. The blonde didn’t seem to believe me, staring at my forced expression in apprehension. His unwavering gaze didn’t help, adding onto the rising pressure I felt ever since I entered this place.
“Do you mind accompanying me for a bit to the balcony, Sol?”
“Huh?”
Caesar held out his elbow for me to hold and looked down at my bewildered look with a genuine smile. It wasn’t one of his charming smiles that made every woman in the world swoon at the sight of it. It was purely out of concern and politeness, but why?
“Um, I hope this doesn’t offend you but...” I trailed off, biting the insides of my cheek. “...it’d be inappropriate of you to disappear when you’re the host of this party. People are here for you. I don’t want to take much of your time when—”
“That doesn’t concern me.” He cut me off before motioning of the waiters over. “It’d be more inappropriate of me to leave a lady in distress, especially when they’re my cute freshman that I need to look after.”
As he said that, I felt uncertain and yet astonished at the same time. The waiter walked over to us with a tray in his hands and asked for the empty glass I held before handing it over to him. Once he bowed and walked away, Caesar seemed to be nodding over to one of his attendants in silent conversation before looking back at me with the same pleasant smile.
“Please do me the honour of blessing my night with your presence. Just for a short while.” He placed one hand on his chest and held out other to me. Caesar really looked like a prince.
“...Alright then.” I submitted, carefully placing my hand over his as he held it gently to place it onto his elbow for me to hold.
As we made our way to the balcony, the irritating gossips and fanatical rumours increased in volume as I felt the frigid, scrutinising glares carve deeper into my back. I didn’t hesitate to frown in response, looking down at the ground to hide my darkened expression and hoped nobody notices. I know this is a bad idea. I’ve only dug myself a deeper hole towards my doom.
“...Now that we’re alone, please be honest with me Sol.” Caesar began, “are you alright?”
Before I knew it, Caesar and I stood out on the balcony as we gazed at view of the garden beneath us and listened to the hushed whispers of the night. I released my hold from his elbow and looked at him for a second, before looking back at the garden with a solemn smile.
“I apologise for worrying you, senior.” I muttered, audible enough for him to hear. “I was being honest earlier though. Attending social events like this is entirely new and it can be nerve-wrecking at times. I also didn’t expect it to be so... Loud.”
Caesar sighed loudly in response, causing me to look up at him. “How many times have I told you to call me Caesar? And if you’re feeling unwell, you should’ve told me sooner. I don’t want to make you uncomfortable after all.”
“...Caesar,” I mumbled his name at first and paused, unsure of what to say. “Nono spent so much time and effort on making sure I attend and even helped me pick what I should wear. It’d be rude of me to leave early.”
“Well, she did a pretty good damn job.” He quickly coughed out that statement, causing me to raise an eyebrow at him. “Anyways if you wanted to leave, just make sure to tell me before you do. But, I’ll be honest and say that I’ll be sad if you do. It’s annoying to have to deal with those people. Having your presence near me puts me at ease, Sol.”
What? What did he mean by that? Caesar has all the confidence and ego in his hands, so why would my existence make any difference? The handsome blonde returned my watchful gaze. seeming to study every little freckle scattered across my reddened cheeks. I started to feel even more embarrassed and tore my gaze away from him.
“...You can’t say such nonsense. You’re Caesar Gattuso.” I muttered and pouted. “What if someone hears you say that? People will assume the worst of you.”
Caesar chuckled, shaking his head. “Is it because of the reputation I need to protect as a Gattuso?”
“No,” I shook my head, chewing on my lip. “It’s because you’re Caesar and you shouldn’t allow people to speak badly of you when you know better. No one deserves to be spoken badly behind their backs. It’s horrible.”
“...Is that how it is?”
Then, I felt warmth underneath my chin as Caesar gently turned my head to face him. Our eyes matched each other and I felt like I was staring right at the heavenly blue sky. I knew our eyes share a similar hue of blue, but I think I favoured his a lot better than my own. His eyes were so vivid, bright and empowering. As we wordlessly watched each other, Caesar placed his thumb on my bottom lip to pull it away from my teeth, preventing me from chewing on it any further. I shivered in response and felt the blood burst in my cheeks as his thumb continued to linger on my lip.
“You’re going to ruin your lips if you chew on them like that.”
Ba bump... Ba bump...
I was completely at a loss for words, trapped in his spellbinding warmth. His touch felt like the sun, heartfelt and sincere, and my heart craved for more. However... Caesar was an enchanting dream I could not obtain. Just like the sun, he was too far out of my reach and I’ll burn into dust if I get any closer. He’s only being kind to me. There’s no reason for me to assume otherwise.
I’m not special.
Hastily, I pulled away from him and lightly pushed his chest away from me. Yet, he caught both of my hands before I attempted and brought them close to his lips.
“Caesar? What—?”
At first I thought he was going to kiss them, but he brought them closer to his forehead and laid my knuckles against it. The bothersome blush on my face refused to go away as the lingering heat seemed to increase. I don’t think my eyes could get any wider in surprise, but I ended up staring at him with an odd look instead.
“...Your hands always feel cold.” Caesar sighed in relief. “It’s a great feeling.”
“...Eh?”
“I was also being completely serious, Sol. It’s selfish of me to ask, but I want you to stay at my side. Your presence really puts me at ease.”
Once again, I was speechless and zipped my mouth shut as I was afraid that my words would make it worse for me. Caesar’s hands tightened against my own, wanting to absorb the chilling touch that my fingers held. Just like him, I wanted to be selfish too and remain by his side. My heart yearned, but ached in excruciating torment. I gave up on trying to push him away and let him do as he wishes. This is probably the only time I can be this close with him. I can’t ever do this again. Ever.
Because in the end of the day, Caesar is loyal to Nono.

another stupid update on this,,
the club I mentioned before ended up disbanding, so the people who reached out to me when I joined left to join other clubs for some reason,, so I also ended up leaving the club
then I ended up joining another big club and the president messaged me and added me as friend ?? and that was scary,, I’ve also noticed that some of the members in high positions know each other well, but they’re quite intimidating ;w; I don’t feel as connected as I did with the previous club,,
I think—I won’t try anymore. The game continuously reminding me of how lonely I am whenever those stupid hearts display on my screen must’ve made me desperate. I think I’m fine with playing alone since I can do things at my own pace,, it’s sad but it’s probably for the best. I’m sure I can make friends naturally, so I’ll just let fate decide;;
also, why did the original post get 60+ notes ??? I don’t understand,, it’s literally just me being a crybaby why—
aaaa what a lonely life ;w;
i’ve been playing dragon raja for 2 months now and yet it’s still so hard for me to make any friends,, I’m too shy and too scared of other people, but I also want to be their friend ugHhh
i’m over here panicking if another player gets too close and would fly in higher places so no one would see me,, that’s how bad it is hwjenwkn it doesn’t help when your own irl friends don’t play the game either whkwbdkwk I just want to do dailies, have a bond with someone or what not,, is that too much to ask for ??
guess I’ll just take pictures with npcs and pretend they’re my friends (TwT。)
#rambles#if i can’t get friends#i can at least get chicken nuggets#at least thats easier and less socially pressuring

Maye’s Diary - Entry 2
‘If a moth has never seen the light, then it’ll throw itself into the fire when it sees it.’
Those words from a dying man left me uneasy—an incomprehensible, uncontrollable burden lodged itself at the back of my throat. What Akira Sakurai had done to those 15 girls was unacceptable and any pleads of mercy from that man can’t be justified for the sins he committed. And yet, his meaningless existence and pitiful death felt like thousands of needles had pierced through my skin.
‘It doesn’t care if anyone gets burned. It doesn’t care if itself gets burned. Even if the whole world gets burned to ashes, it couldn’t care less...!’
I felt his desperation. I felt like I understood what he meant but for reasons unknown. It frustrates me.
Pulling my gloves off my hand, I set them aside onto the bench I sat on as I solemnly watched the Cherry Blossoms sway its branches with the gentle breeze. I raised a finger to tuck back a loose strand of hair and took in the view before me. I don’t think I’ve ever seen trees like this before—foreign and breathtakingly gorgeous under the moonlight.
My eyes then wandered towards the moon above us whereas it hides itself behind the haven of clouds as if it was embarrassed to be so exposed to the world. The moonlight is gentle and full of grace, unlike the sun’s vivid and powerful rays that reveals nature’s true colours. The moon can’t be compared to such a star as the shadows overtake its vulnerability, corrupting every nook and cranny that the sun empowered with darkness.
Some beings are forced to succumb to the darkness because the sun is too strong, yet it is admirably beautiful. If you’ve been trapped in the dark for so long, you’d risk everything just to be blessed by its warmth.
“...That’s how much a moth yearns for the light.” I muttered his last words under my breath, staring at my bare hands in uncertainty.
Then, I felt someone’s presence nearby and instinctively turned around to face them with a glare.
“Oh...” It was that girl from earlier, the only clan chief who didn’t care about the war council, and played her game console for the entire time.
Erii Uesugi.
My glare softened the moment I saw how she didn’t seem unfazed by my hostility and watched me closely, studying my existence with interest in her curious child-like eyes. I felt a little awkward from her scrutinising stare, so I stood up and bowed to her out of respect.
“Good evening...” I whispered, giving her an odd look.
Erii didn’t respond but instead moved closer to where I stood and held out her hand towards me. Then, she carefully reached for a strand of my hair and gently held it before looking at the Cherry Blossoms around us then back at my hair. I didn’t sense any type form of danger or feel any doubt from her, so I didn’t try to move away from her touch despite the fact she’s invading my personal bubble.
I know she wasn’t going to hurt me.
“Your hair,” she muttered quietly, as if she was afraid to speak any louder, but her fascination was insistent enough to speak for itself. “...Is like the Cherry Blossoms.”
I guess so. My hair is strangely and unnaturally pink. I always thought it was unusual that I’ve been born with such hair, but Erii thought otherwise. How childish.
“Thank you.” I replied once she released my hair from her hold. “You...remind me of strawberries—I think.”
Out of all the things I could’ve said, that came out of my mouth?
Erii looked at me in both surprise and confusion, tilting her head in a way that it seemed like she was asking what I meant.
To which I replied, “You look like a sweet girl... And, strawberries are sweet.”
Trying to socialise with people was hard, but trying to talk to someone who barely spoke was even harder. Yet, she didn’t seem to notice my awkwardness at all as her eyes sparkled in wonder. All of a sudden, she tried to reach for my hands and I instantly hid them away underneath the sleeves of my kimono, before holding them behind my back.
I thought she would be offended, but her curious stare remained and her confusion deepened further.
“...My abilities are unstable.” I explained, turning my gaze away from her in shame. “If you touch my hands without my gloves on, I’ll accidentally destroy you into nothingness and erase your existence from this world. I apologise for the rudeness.”
Erii seemed to ponder for a while, taking in what I said as she continued to observe me. I still felt a little uncomfortable under her gaze because of the look in her eyes—she was like a child that finally found something they’ve been yearning for so long.
“You...” She opened her mouth to speak, “and I... Are the same.”
Raising an eyebrow at her statement, I wanted to ask her what she meant until a familiar voice cut our ‘conversation’ short.
“Erii! Miss Maye!”
As our names were called out, we both turned around to see Chisei, who was hastily walking towards us, causing Erii to hide behind me.
“Chisei? Did something happen?” I asked the tall brunette, looking at his worried expression.
“Miss Maye,” He began. “What are you doing with my sister?”
I frowned at the sudden interrogation, “Nothing. We were just talking about the Cherry Blossoms.”
“Talking?”
“I did most of the talking. Your sister just accompanied me silently.” I answered, trying to hide the mockery in my tone. “Is that a problem?”
Chisei gave me an odd look, yet his shoulders visibly relaxed as he kept his stern gaze onto us. I felt Erii shuffle behind me, peeking her head out to look at her brother whereas Chisei shook his head disapprovingly at her behaviour.
“Erii, I told you I was going to play with you later. You didn’t need to inconvenience our guest—”
“Forgive me for interrupting,” I cut him off as my brows furrowed in disbelief. “She wasn’t an inconvenience. I was the one who reached out to her. Is she not allowed to entertain her guests in her own home? Don’t blame her for something she hasn’t done.”
The heavy silence Chisei was emitting off his skeptical expression made me angry. Is this how he treats his sister? His family? She’s not some dog. He then turned look at Erii, who seemed to be in shock that I stood up for her, and felt her grip on my sleeves.
“Sakura, send Erii to her room.”
“Understood. Please follow me, Lady Erii.”
And with that, Erii released her grip and sadly made her way back, but not before giving me a thankful nod and sent Chisei a disappointed glance. Once she was gone, he left out an audible sigh and turned his focus on me.
“Miss Maye, you’re one of our esteemed guests of Hydra, but please refrain from involving yourself in my family affairs.”
“Then, don’t involve yourself in my affairs.” I shot back, smiling bitterly before grabbing my gloves from the bench and walked away from him. What a pushover.
“Maye! Where have you been?” I saw Caesar and the rest by the bridge, waving his arm to call me over.
“Were you with the clan chief? I heard she was dangerous!”
“Are you alright?”
This isn’t really the appropriate time to be bombarded with questions, so I only gave them a reassuring nod. Chisei then followed behind me, causing my seniors to look at him instead.
“Oh? Gen-kun, you were with Maye? What?” Luminous exclaimed, looking back and forth between us.
How nosy. These men should just mind their own business. As I looked away from them, Chisei was already looking at me as our eyes connected. We silently held each other’s gaze for a short moment, but I quickly tore my eyes away from him and walked away from the scene.
“Where are you going? Maye!”
It’s difficult to get along with someone when your ways of life were completely different. I refuse to respect someone that blindly follows the light when the darkness that follows him pulls the strings.
I’d be killed if I entrusted my life to someone like him.

“Miss Thalia, may I have a word with you?”
Once the girl slashed her last training bot for the day, Lancelot gracefully strolled towards her whereas Thalia turned to face him as she lowered her sword to the side. She then wiped the sweat dripping by her brow with her wrist band, staring at the male with little interest.
“What is it?”
“You’ve been chosen as a volunteer to help a fellow freshman in need. They are currently lagging behind their studies and training due to undisclosed circumstances.” Lancelot explained, “You are the best and easiest option for this task. The student needs your help.”
Thalia frowned and silently judged the man with a grimace. She didn’t like the idea. Not one bit.

Maye’s Route
“Damn it... Damn it all!”
Screaming my frustrations out, I threw the training cube to the ground as it bounced away from my feet. I was already feeling helpless and I didn’t know what to do anymore. The exhaustion pulled me down to my knees before willingly laying on the ground and laid my bruised arm over my eyes.
‘I can’t stop now... But, I’m not making any improvements.’ I thought and huffed loudly in irritation.
I don’t know how long I’ve been in the training centre and even asked EVA permission to extend my stay for an extra 2 hours to which she agreed to. The reason why I’m here was to find a way to control the instability of my EX skill: Destruction. This ability allows me to disintegrate the existence of inorganic and organic matter by manipulating and destroying its chemical structure through energy given out from the tips of my fingers.
Since it’s unstable, anything I touch will cease to exist or becomes shattered remains depending on how big the structure would be. The energy comes out like rapid fire, therefore it’s difficult to control. That’s why I wear specific gloves that ‘cancels’ out the skill but these are only prototypes that were made quickly by the Gear Department, so they get damaged ever so often.
Professor Manstein has sent a complaint letter to Johann as he’s been assigned by Principal Anjou to take responsibility for my actions and well-being.The letter spoke about how I’ve broken several vending machines across the Campus, sudden disappearance of books from the library and many more troubles I’ve caused. The Professor classified me as a ‘problematic hazard’ that could potentially cause harm to the students and college property. I was offended at first as Susie, vice president of Lionheart, explained to me about this and what will expected out of me afterwards.
She told me that I needed to complete an individual training session in 5 days with these tiny training cubes made specifically for me. These cubes are made of the same material of landmines, but a little different. It contains an explosive fluid entrapped in an orb that would only react if the tiniest amount of energy was provided; the same energy I emit from my fingers. Susie also told me I need to be able to destroy the coating around the orb and be able to separate the orb itself without destroying it too. I was provided with at least 500 cubes in total (100 to use each day) and if I can’t manage to separate a 100 orbs out of 500, they’ll limit my freedom and ban me from partaking any missions.
And here I am, sprawled across the ground with little hope of success in my mind. I’m not sure how many cubes have exploded in my hands, but it’s enough to leave them feeling raw and covered in gauze for months. I still have a day left and about 116 cubes left.
Even if my mind was giving up, my heart stood strong for me. Johann and Susie had to deal with the consequences I caused, so I know they have high expectations for me. I started this, let me finish this at least. I need to start again.
While remaining in my position, I brought my hands close to my face and saw how bruised and red they were. Some of my blood smudged across my skin after wiping it away on my shorts and was also coated with some soot. I’m sure my face was in the same state, but I didn’t pay much attention to how much of a mess I am right now. I needed to pay attention to what’s more important and that is to understand how my energy flows by the tips of my fingers.
As I closed my eyes, I tried to visualise a tip given by Johann during my 2nd day of training:
“You need to feel your energy in its physical form rather than struggling to understand it mentally with a blind eye. Try to see it as a river flowing through your veins.”
His explanation didn’t make any sense when I first heard it. It was still too vague but he was also trying to be eloquent enough for me to understand without trying to feed me immediate answers. Am I overthinking this? Is that what he meant then?
“Focus Maye...”
Slowly, I breathed in the air around me through my nose and gradually exhaled through my mouth. In order to understand my flow of energy, I needed my head to stay clear from restlessness and impatience. Suddenly, everything felt so calm now... It’s as if I was being submerged into the ocean, sinking deeper into the void. I can’t hear anything, but I definitely started to feel something rushing through my veins.
After a moment of pregnant silence, I opened my eyes to see my glowing hands in front of me. I was astonished at how pretty my hands looked for once as the cuts and bruises were gone, but strange unfamiliar markings appeared instead. They didn’t feel painful, in fact, my hand wasn’t cramping up in pain anymore. And with this, there was only one thing to do.
Immediately, I pushed myself off the ground and strolled over to the cube I threw away earlier and picked it up with my thumb and index finger only. Then, I laid my middle finger onto the cube. No reaction. I held my breath when I placed my fourth finger and observed closely. Usually, the cube would’ve already reacted once I place a third finger, but nothing has happened so far.
“One more...” I muttered, nervously placing my pinkie onto the cube.
The cube began to emit light and I instantly shut my eyes, preparing for it to blow up like the rest of them. My heart dropped. However, nothing was happening so I warily opened my eyes to look and saw that the cube began to deteriorate slowly.
“...If it’s deteriorating the cube at this rate, I think it’s easier for me to control it this way!”
As I continued to focus heavily onto the cube, I felt the energy slowly seep through my fingers like honey as it passes through the cube. The cube itself broke down into dust and gradually the orb itself presented itself before my widened eyes. I didn’t feel the energy anymore and my hands, along with its markings, disappeared without a trace as I held the orange hue with all 5 of my fingers.
I... I did it? I succeeded?
“..aye. Maye!”
A familiar voice pushed me out of my own thoughts and I swiftly turned around to face none other than the person responsible for tonight’s success, Johann. He stood a few feet away from me with a hand on his hip as he looked at the orb in my hand before looking at my disheveled face. Did he see? How long was he standing there?
“Johann Chu! I finally did it!”
Before I realised what I just done, I found myself sprinting and launched myself at him out of pure excitement & happiness. My arms wrapped around his torso and squeezed him tightly. I can tell I caught him off guard judging from how his breathe hitched, yet I felt his arms wrap around my shoulder in return and patted my back out of awkwardness and approval. Even though it was just one meaningless cube, this meant everything to me. I’ll be able to lower my guard, even just a little, and I won’t be so scared of accidentally killing someone with my bare hands.
‘...Even I can do things like hugging people I treasure now.’
Tears welled up in my eyes as Johann placed a hand onto my head, seeming to understand how relieved I must be after failing so many times. ...It felt nice.
“I’ve always believed in you.”
Maybe. Maybe you did after all.
