Not gonna lie it took me a week to finish these two pieces; like tweaking the lineart, shading, rendering, and all that stuff. 😭 I somehow love how this turns out though, I have been practicing how dramatic light works hehe

ABOUT THE DRAWING:

- So before you go overboard and jump into conclusion, they're not doing freaky stuff, 'kay? Patroclus was filing down Achilles' sharp tooth.

- I made that bathtub scene from the Handmaiden (2016) as the reference! I watched that scene last week and suddenly thought of odydio initially (idk why my brain works that way). But last week was also the time I finished TSOA, so why not draw a fanart?

- The walls are inspired by the walls of the Palace of Minos at Knossos. I tried researching more reference for other ancient greek palace walls and that is the only wall I know I can render 😭🙏🏻

- The lekythos on the first drawing! Hehe I read that ancient Greeks back then uses oil when they bathe, so I decided to add it. (Feel free to fact check me on this, I'm still new to Ancient Greece history and Greek Mythology in general ^^)

- The design on the bathtub is inspired by ancient Minoan bathtubs ^^

One of the many reasons I stopped looking at any mythology videos on tiktok

For context, the video uses the audio of “I Need Her to be Mine”, a cut song from Epic: The Musical. Odysseus did go as a suitor but never planned on marrying Helen. It’s said he didn’t bring any gifts. He went to Sparta with no intentions of marriage until he met Penelope and asked Tyndareus for her hand in marriage. Why make it seem like he settled for Penelope because he couldn’t have Helen when that’s not the case? It’s not a surprise this person also believes Odysseus willingly slept with Circe and Calypso.

I need to know what Classicists discuss in class because how do they have some of the worst interpretations?
