See, the Lorax (book) is about greed and capitalism, but where it succeeds while the movie fails is simple; the Onceler is faceless. He is no longer an Individual, but rather a broad Idea.

In the movie, we sympathize with the Onceler, in the book? The Onceler is simply... capitalism.

The book ends on an ambiguous note, while the movie is much more... happy. The book ends with a singular seed, a singular tree, and hopes for a better future, the movie has a catchy jingle and the public execution of a billionaire, and the return of that cheeto-dusted bastard — while happy, it isnt as solemn as the book.

And the book? Well.. it made little first grader Maja think... it made her think about life and the evils of capitalism. It turned me radical. I couldn't stop thinking of green gloves and orange pixies pinching their asses and flying away. The movie spat on that idea... but ngl "biggering" fucks hard i wish they kept that song in the movie

... idk man, i'm holding off on getting a switch 2 for a variety of reasons: the price, lack of games that interest me (tomodachi life wont be SW2 exclusive, and that's the main one I'm excited for), and like... general iffy-ness of the terms and agreements from what I've seen.

I dont know the likelihood of them ever releasing a switch 2 lite, but if they do then I'm going to get that over the full switch.

I tend to really only look into new consoles if I think its, like, warranted. I saved up for a PS5 because my PS4 was getting quite old, and I was experiencing a lot of glitches when playing God of War Ragnarok, which was straight up ruining the game for me. Like... During the first Valkyrie fight, and during the Ragnarok sequence, Atreus wasn't responding to my commands, the audio completely cut out during Freyr's introduction no matter how many times I restarted it (even restarting the entire console), and I was experiencing issues with the memory and other games I owned.

Like... for context, we got the PS4 roughly around the time it came out as a Christmas gift. So the thing is... like... a decade old, and has been frequently used.

I also have a PS3 and a SEGA Genesis, along with an og 3DS and a refurbished one. So like... technically it won't be a waste of money since I will be using it quite often, but at the same time, I don't personally think its worth it rn lmao tangent over
