Roughly four hour paint job. Randomly grabbed a “simple” mini already on the paint table to knock out. Just trying to clear a bit of room. This was a very fun paint job and I feel “simple” is underselling how nice the mini was to paint. Proper pics coming in the future. When I played 40k, I usually played Eldar. For this month’s “named character” commmunity challenge, I painted something I’d never gotten around to: an Eldar Phoenix Lord, Baharroth, “The Cry of the Wind”. These images are, other than cropping, straight out of camera. I am thrilled with the paint job as it is the first time I’ve looked at a model this close and not found a glaring mistake. My paint table has been teeming with wizards and I had hoped to have several more ready for this months Community Challenge, but it was not to be. Still, I had a blast painting these minis. 1) DGS Games - Wandering Wizard - an amazingly detailed and fun model to paint 2) Reaper Miniatures - 77068 Anirion from the Layer Up Learn to Paint Kit (08907) - never to old to learn 3 and 4) Reaper Bones 4 KS models not yet released, I believe. A benefit of these challenges is that I get to do some serious practice on product photography. I am leaning more and more towards a more cinematic presentation to photographing miniatures.
