Someone Like You -- Loki Odinson
Tumblr media
You never knew true happiness until you met the God of Mischief.
You never knew that life could have so much meaning in it until he was in it.
You never knew how deserving of love you were until you met him.
May 4, 2012 - the day your life changed. That was the first time you had laid eyes on Loki. Granted, it wasn't in the greatest of circumstances, but you still met him. Little did you know that he would change your entire life. Loki had orchestrated the Battle of New York with the Chitauri against the Avengers. You had been recruited by Nick Fury to join the team. After your accident, you developed supernatural abilities, which came in handy during the fight. And the team was able to stop Loki. Afterward, Thor returned to Asgard with Loki.
It wasn't until 5 years later you would run into Loki again. You found yourself at 177A Bleecker Street with Dr. Stephen Strange. The two of you had developed an odd friendship, but one that you were grateful for.
"Y/N," Thor greeted with a smile, "What are you doing here?"
You returned his smile, walking toward him for a hug, "I could be asking you the same thing. Why are you on Earth?"
"I am looking for Odin," Thor explained.
"And he is not on Asgard?" you inquired.
"Loki," Thor said, and you nodded in understanding. He then looked back at Stephen, "So, Earth has wizards now?"
"The preferred term is Master of the Mystic Arts," Stephen responded.
"All right, wizard. Who are you? Why should I care? And why are you here, Y/N?" Thor continued.
"My name is Dr. Stephen Strange, and we have some questions for you," Stephen said.
"We do?" you looked at him, confused.
"Yes," Stephen nodded, "Take a seat. I keep a watchlist of individuals and beings from other realms that may be a threat to our world. Your adoptive brother, Loki, is one of those beings."
"He's a worthy inclusion," Thor agreed.
"Then why bring him here?" Stephen demanded.
"Wait, Loki's here?" you questioned.
Thor nodded toward you before answering, "We're looking for my father."
"So, if I were to tell you where Odin was, all parties concerned would return to Asgard promptly?" Stephen asked.
"Promptly," Thor assured.
"Great! Then I'll help you," Stephen concluded as you rolled your eyes. "He's in Norway."
Stephen opened a portal for Thor to enter Norway. Thor retrieved his umbrella, masked as his hammer. He turned to look at you, "Always nice to see you, Y/N. Oh, I suppose I'll need my brother back."
"Right," Stephen responded, opening another portal on the ceiling only for Loki to fall through it screaming.
Loki layed on the ground, his fists clenched, "I have been falling for 30 minutes!"
"Justifiably so," you crossed your arms.
The instant his green eyes met yours, you were a goner.
"And who are you?" Loki huffed, standing up and fixing his clothing.
"Y/N L/N," you responded.
"She kicked your ass back in New York. How can you not remember?" Thor chuckled.
Loki grunted, "Right."
"You can handle him from here?" Stephen checked in.
"Of course," Thor assured.
And then they were gone again, but not for long. Within days, Loki had returned to Earth.
"What are you doing here?" you inquired.
Loki raised his eyebrows, ignoring your question, "Y/N L/N."
"Yes?" you asked.
"We need your help. Thor asked me to come to get you," Loki explained.
"My help?" you laughed nervously, "What could I possibly help you with?"
"Believe it or not, I'm not the worst of us siblings," Loki responded.
"I find that very hard to believe," you stated.
"Well, you'll have to see for yourself then," Loki argued.
"And what makes you think I'd go anywhere with you?" you challenged.
He shrugged, "You don't have to, but the fate of Asgard depends on it."
"Don't try to guilt trip me into tagging along," you countered.
"Are you always this insufferable?" Loki narrowed his eyes.
"Only to those who try to invade my home," you answered, crossing your arms.
"That was years ago," Loki defended.
"And suddenly you've changed? I think Thor would've mentioned something," you responded.
Loki rolled his eyes, "Can't you put your idiotic grudge to the side and just come with? We're wasting time."
You sighed, letting your arms fall to your side, "Fine. Let's go."
"Finally," Loki muttered. He held his hand out for you to take, but you only looked at it distrustfully. "I don't bite."
"And I still don't trust you," you argued, reluctantly grabbing his hand before you were surrounded by light before the Bifrost transported you. You found yourself unknowingly gripping Loki's hand tightly, something he noticed right away. By the time you landed on Sakaar, Loki was looking over at you.
"Where are we?" you asked.
"Sakaar," Loki grinned at you, "We're stealing a ship, and then heading to Asgard."
"You brought me to another planet to steal?" you hissed, shoving your finger in his chest. "I knew I shouldn't have trusted you."
"If we don't take it, then everyone on Asgard dies," Loki argued, "There's no other option."
"I didn't realize you were one to care about others," you countered.
"Darling, you don't know anything about me," Loki smirked.
"If we get caught, you forced me against my will," you stated.
Loki shrugged, "They won't believe you nor care to."
"Can we just get this over with?" you asked, "I can't believe you brought me to steal something."
"Get over yourself," Loki rolled his eyes, leading the way to sneak into the Grandmaster's castle to steal a ship. Upon entering it, Loki looked at you, "Don't touch anything."
"My distrust in you has skyrocketed after this," you argued.
"Do you ever shut up?" he raised his voice.
"No," you smirked you sat down, watching as Loki got the ship started quickly to get out of there, "You haven't mentioned what's exactly going on."
"And yet, you came," Loki glanced over at you.
"You mentioned something about siblings. I wasn't aware there were more than two of you," you noted.
"Welcome to the club," Loki grinned as he got it started, and set in the coordinates to get to Asgard quickly. "Apparently, we have a sister. Ragnorak is happening, and Thor mentioned needing help. We can't face Hela alone."
"Thor is literally the God of Thunder," you crossed your arms, "What do I have to offer?"
"Obviously something useful," Loki shrugged.
"So, Hela...is she a god too or?" you inquired.
"Goddess of Death," Loki confirmed.
"Great," you muttered.
Loki glanced over at you again, "Look, you won't have to do anything against Hela."
Reluctantly, you met his eyes. You couldn't explain what feeling overcame you, but oddly enough, you found a sense of comfort in those green eyes. Your brain yelled at you not to trust a single thing he says or does, but you found yourself struggling against that. And not only was he someone with bad intentions, but he was also a stranger to you.
But Loki was right. After his grand entrance, you helped the Asgardian women and children onto the ship while protecting them from the resurrected Berserkers. You fought alongside the Asgardians and were surprised to find Loki doing the same thing. But the most surprising thing was when Loki grabbed your arm, pulling you out of the way so he could knock one of the Berserkers trying to attack you off the bridge.
"Thanks," you breathed out. Loki only nodded in response as the two of you resumed fighting.
Following the fight, Loki found you seated somewhere on the ship away from the others. You had a piece of cloth pressed against a deep wound on your arm. He walked over to you, kneeling in front of you, "Here, let me."
You eyed him wearily, but you allowed him to inspect the wound. You spoke up, "I was wrong about you."
Loki met your eyes before smiling, "What was that?"
You rolled your eyes, "Nice try, Loki."
Loki seemed to have taken a protective role over you following the battle on Asgard. Never in a million years did you imagine that from the God of Mischief. And never in a billion years did you ever imagine that you would fall in love with him either.
Loki would push you to stand behind him when trouble would be brewing. Loki was willing to sacrifice himself to protect you from Thanos. Loki never abandoned you during a fight. In fact, he was always by your side during a fight. Loki would always check on you to make sure you weren't injured afterward. Neither of you knew what clicked to make all of this start happening, but you were happy about it.
Then one day, following the Battle in Wakanda, you ended up separated from Loki. As people started to disappear into dust because of Thanos' snap, Loki frantically looked for you. This was something he never pictured himself doing. Loki never even fathomed that he would care so much about anyone else as he always worried more about himself than others.
"Y/N!" Loki shouted when he spotted you on your knees as another person turned into dust in your arms. "Y/N!" Your head snapped at his voice as you watched him run toward you. You stood up just as he reached you, his hands grabbing your face. He breathed out, "Are you alright?"
You nodded, staring into his eyes and finding yourself slowly getting lost in them, "Yeah. Are you?"
He nodded, "I am now."
You smiled softly before it fell, "We lost."
Loki shrugged, "That doesn't really matter right now."
"Look at what's going on around us. How does it not matter?" you hissed quietly.
"Because you're still here," Loki admitted, his face showing the conflict of him trying to tell you that.
"I didn't know you had a sweet bone in your body," you teased.
"I guess I just needed the right person to find it," he responded.
A silence filled the air, and the chaos surrounding the two of you seemed to disappear as you stared into his green irises. Loki began to lean in first. Your heart raced, and your mind went blank. Then when his lips touch yours, all your worries disappeared. Your lips melted into one another as your hands wrapped around his wrists.
"Y/N!" Thor shouted, "No! Not with Loki! I did not need to see that!"
You pulled away from Loki, laughing at your friend. But Loki smiled at you, not caring about anyone around the two of you.
"Come on, guys! We have things to do," Thor continued.
The kiss wasn't mentioned for several weeks as the world was trying to settle, and the team worked on trying to figure something out to reverse it. But that didn't last long as everyone went on to do their own thing and figure out how to live in this new world. Thor offered for you to return to New Asgard with him and Loki, but you declined at first.
When you entered the Avenger's compound one evening after going out for a run, you were shocked to find Loki pacing in the living area.
"Did you already get kicked out?" you asked, jokingly.
Loki instantly smiled when he saw me, "It's a topic of discussion."
You rolled your eyes, "Yeah? What did you do this time?"
"I think the list of things I haven't done would be shorter," he responded.
"How long have you been here?" you inquired, keeping a safe amount of distance between the two of you.
He shrugged, "I've just been waiting for you to return."
"I've been gone most of the day," you noted.
"I know," he nodded.
"You should've called me," you argued. "I would've come back sooner."
"I didn't mind waiting," Loki said.
You smiled softly at him before asking, "How's New Asgard?"
"It's nice," he responded, "But it's missing something."
You raised your eyebrows, "And you came here looking for that?"
"Yes," he admitted.
"Are you going to elaborate?" you questioned.
"It's you, Y/N," Loki shared.
"Me?" you clarified.
"Yes," Loki took a step closer to you, "No matter what I do, Y/N, you are the only thing on my mind. I don't know what you did, or how this even happened. But all I want is you. Life doesn't feel right without you now. I've been waiting for someone like you my entire life.”
You stood there in shock by his confession. You struggled to get enough air in your lungs to continue breathing properly. You knew how you felt about Loki, but actually hearing him reciprocate it made everything seem so real.
"But I'm not Asgardian," you smiled lightly, teasing.
"Technically, neither am I," Loki chuckled. "Also, Thor hasn't been leaving his home so it may be beneficial for him too if you were there."
"I'd have nowhere to stay," you challenged.
"I would ensure that you were taken care of, Y/N," Loki promised.
"Let's say I agree to return with you," you stared into his eyes, "What does that make us?"
He smiled at you, "I was hoping that you'd become my girlfriend. You know, I can't stop thinking about that kiss."
"Oh?" you beamed.
He rolled his eyes, "Yes."
"I haven't stopped thinking about it either," you smiled softly, "So, when do we leave?"

Lose You To Love Me | Tony Stark
Tumblr media
You couldn't believe you had made it this far in your career. You left New York two years ago to start over and chase your dreams. And it was one of the best decisions you had made for yourself. You were able to get discovered, sign a record deal, and was selling out concerts in no time. There was always a small part of you nagging you to return back or even reach out to your past. But you were happier now and better than ever.
And just your luck, there was a charity event you had been requested to attend in New York. You couldn't deny the excitement that returning gave you, but there was also a sense of fear. You didn't know what would wait for you upon returning to New York or who would even recognize you.
You called up an old friend who agreed to let you stay with her so you could catch up and stay low while in New York. She offered to pick you up from the airport and everything. When you returned to her place, you learned that she would be attending the charity event too.
"Really?" you asked surprised.
"Yes," they nodded, "My boss has requested I attend with him."
"At least I won't be alone," you grinned, "Those events can get draining with all of the people there."
"How do you manage it?" your friend inquired.
"I focus on the reason why I'm there," you admitted before standing up, "I brought a few extra dresses if you'd like to borrow one."
"Really?" your friend asked excitedly.
"Yes," you grinned at her.
You had your makeup and hair stylists come to your friend's apartment to work on you, and to help her out if she wanted to as well. You were performing at the charity event tonight. No matter how many stages you perform on or how large the crowds are, you still got extremely nervous to perform.
In a matter of hours, you were ready for the event. Your friend left to go attend to her boss while you waited in the apartment until your ride came to pick you up.
You exited the vehicle only to be greeted with the shouts of reporters, the flashes of their cameras, and your security team creating a path for you to get out. You took one of the security guard's hands as she helped you to get out before you fixed your dress, flashed a big smile, and made your way into the building where the event was taking place tonight.
After posing for some pictures and answering short questions, your security team successfully got you into the venue where you could breathe because you were surrounded by normal people not trying to shove a camera in your face every few seconds. You immediately walked towards the bar feeling the need for a drink, stopping to greet a few familiar faces. You ordered a drink and were waiting when you heard a familiar voice speak causing you to snap your head in the direction. Only feet away from you was none other than your ex. He turned your way before his face revealed he was surprised.
"Y/N," he greeted.
"Stark," you replied, "I didn't realize you knew what charity was."
He smirked as he stepped closer to you, "All these years and that's what you decide to come back with? What are you doing here anyway?"
"I was invited," you responded, grabbing your drink for the bartender and telling yourself you'll need many of these if Tony Stark was here.
"No shit," he stated before asking, "What have you been up to?"
"I've been building a name for myself," you told him. "Quite successfully if I may add."
"I see you finally took my advice," Tony smirked.
"Your advice?" you scoffed.
"Yeah, I was the one who always told you to go off and so what you want," Tony said.
"You told me you wanted me to be a submissive wife, Stark. You never wanted me to have my own career," you argued.
"I don't recall that," he shook his head.
"I certainly do," you stated. "I never knew someone could be so selfish until I met you."
"But you loved me at one time," he said cockily.
"I was young and foolish," you replied. "I didn't know what love was back then."
"So anyone new in your life?" he asked.
"That is none of your concern," you said.
He shrugged, "I'll take that as a no."
"I don't have the time for it," you admitted, narrowing your eyes at him, "I especially don't have times for self-absorbed men."
"Ouch," Tony said sarcastically, "I remember you being so sweet. Seems that fame has changed you."
"Or perhaps a broken heart," you held your drink up, "I have more important matters to attend to than to bicker with you, Stark."
"What? I'm not good enough for you anymore," Tony stated as you turned to walk away.
"Your words not mine," you flashed a smile before emerging yourself into the sea of people, continuing to greet others as you made your way towards where you would need to be set up for your performance.
As the crew handed you your earpiece, reality set in and your nerces skyrocketed. Performing always gave you some anxiety, but this was a new level. You peered out of the curtain trying to look for the devil himself but couldn't spot him. It was for the best anyways. He was only increasing your nerves and bringing back old emotions you had buried deep inside of you.
"Y/N, we're ready for you."
You nodded and took a deep breath before moving up their stairs leading to the stage. The instance you appeared from behind the curtain the venue filled with applauds. You forced a smile on your face as you gracefully walked to where the microphone was waiting for you.
"Thank you to everyone for coming out tonight. I feel so honored to have been invited to be a part of such an incredible organization," you spoke into the microphone, the crowd clapping. "Tonight I'll be performing my newest single so let's get into it."
You smiled at the crowd and used a hand to grip onto the microphone hoping it would calm your nerves as the music began to play.
"You promised the world and I fell for it. I put you first and you adored it," you sang into the microphone.
Your eyes still searching the crowd for him despite your better judgment as your continued singing.
"I saw the signs and I ignored it. Rose-colored glasses all distorted. Set fire to my purpose. And I let it burn."
Your eyes continued to scan the audience.
"I needed to lose you to find me. This dancing was killing me softly. I needed to hate you to love me."
It wasn't until you were near the ending of the song you finally spotted Tony out in the crowd. He was off to the side watching you. This only spiked your heart rate and you started to clam up, but pushed through.
"
And now the chapter is closed and done. To love, love, yeah. To love, love, yeah. And now it's goodbye, it's goodbye for us
."
You stepped away from the microphone as the venue erupted into cheers. You offered one last smile and wave to the crowd before rushing off the stage wanting to hide away from his eyes. You grabbed one last drink before stepping outside in a secluded area free from the press and other people. You sat and started to sip on your drink hoping it would calm your nerves.
"People are wondering where you are."
You rolled your eyes and didn't bother to look at him, "What do you want, Stark?"
"Perhaps to offer my own congratulations. What? Am I not allowed to do that?" he walked over to sit down next to you.
"I didn't think you were one to give out compliments," you fired back.
"Maybe I've changed."
You scoffed, "I'll believe it when I see it."
"You are. Right now. I'm complimenting you, Y/N," Tony went on. "I liked it. I could only wonder where you got in inspiration from."
You turned your head to look at him, "I have five years worth of material to use."
"So you admit it? You write about me," he smirked.
"Don't look so smug. They aren't nice songs," you chuckled.
"At least I know I'm the reason you're famous," he winked.
"You are far from it," you argued.
"How? All of your songs are about me," he pointed out.
"Not all of them. Besides, how would you even know?" you fired back.
He shrugged, "Maybe because I listen to them."
You looked at him confused, "No you don't."
"Yes, I do," he nodded. "I do, Y/N."
"I don't believe you," you stated.
Tony then listed off a few of the titles from your songs and you were taken aback. You weren't sure how to feel about it. But you hated the soft spark growing in your chest from it. You had to remind yourself of what Tony was like.
"So what? You listen to my music?" you stated, looking away.
"That's all you have to say?" he asked.
"Why?" you inquired, "Why are you telling me this?"
"Well, I was hoping you'd get the hint, but it seems like you are just as clueless as you always have been," he smiled before standing up.
"Excuse me?"
"What?" he shrugged.
"Stop being an ass and just tell me," you said.
"Tell you what? That I've never gotten over you?" Tony stated.
Your eyes widened at his words before you stood up, "You're lying. You just hope to get something."
"I've never lied to, Y/N. That is one thing I have never done," Tony pointed at you.
"Tony," you broke down and exhaled, "No. Don't even start this."
"Why? Because you're scared?"
"Because I will not fall for your stupid games again."
"I don't think you're being honest with yourself."
"You don't know me anymore. I've changed."
"Clearly."
"Just leave me alone, Stark."
"Back to Stark again? Really Y/N?"
"Yes," you nodded. "I'm done with this."
You move to head back into the venue but Tony had grabbed your arm stopping you. "Tell me the real reason you're running away from me."
"I don't need you."
"I don't want you to need me," Tony defended.
"We were together for five years and you never changed. Why would now be any different?"
"I'm a changed man. We're both different than those twenty year olds kids," Tony spoke softly, something you rarely ever saw from him. "You ran away from me once. And honestly, I don't want you to run away from me again."
"I didn't run away," you defended.
"You did," Tony argued.
"Then it was for good reason," you stated, "Let go of me."
"No, not until you hear me."
"I don't have to listen to you anymore."
"You don't. But I'm asking you to."
"If I do, will you leave me alone?"
"Yes," Tony agreed as he let go of your arm.
"Okay, go ahead."
"Not here," Tony shook his head before smiling at her, "You know that little restaurant a couple blocks from here?"
"The one we used to go to?" you asked quietly.
He nodded, "We'd go there after I'd pick you up from class. Come on, we'll go there."
Against your better judgment you agreed and followed Tony to his vehicle that was waiting for him. They drove you to the diner like restaurant that you two frequented when you started dating and were still in college.
"When was the last time you have been in a place like this?" you asked as you two sat down at your old booth, trying to bunch your dress up so it wasn't in the walkway. You knew Tony had taken over his family's business and was a billionaire now.
"I could ask you the same thing," Tony argued.
"I'm not a billionaire," you argued.
"Not all of us can be geniuses," he smiled resulting in you kicking his shin. He groaned, "That was uncalled for."
"I say we're even," you smirked. "What did you want to tell me?"
He cleared his throat before looking at you, "Nothing really. I just wanted to take you out again."
You rolled your eyes, "You're despicable."
He smiled, "But I got you here. Don't you miss this?"
"You mean us?"
"Yeah," Tony nodded. "Because I do. I haven't been able to stop thinking about you and all the mistakes I've made since you left me that night. I went to your parents house to try and talk to you, but you had already left. I figured it was best to let you live your life."
"Are you admitting you were wrong?" you said amused. "I need that on a recording."
Tony pointed at you, "I'm trying to be sincere, come on. And you can't tell me you don't think about me still."
"So what if I do? We didn't work out the first time, why would this time be any different?"
"Like you said earlier, we've both changed."
"That doesn't always mean for the better," you argued.
Tony smiled at you, "Y/N, I know you can resist me."
"See, you're still an ass."
"I can't help that. That's just apart of my personality," he said causing you to laugh. "So what do you say we start over?"
You looked at him, tempted to tell him yes. But you couldn't. Your life was in California now. You were better off without him, at least that's the lie you told yourself. But truth was, you missed him and missed the life you were building with him. Your brain was telling you no, but the heart was screaming yet.
"Tony, I..."
"You don't have to say anything, Y/N. Your eyes always give you away," he winked at you.
"You're insufferable."
"But you like it," he smirked.
You bit you lip, "Maybe a little."

Sweet Cheeks | Bucky Barnes & Steve Rogers
Bucky Barnes vs. Steve Rogers: They Both Like You
Tumblr media
You were discovered by Natasha and Clint while they were completing a mission for Nick Fury. Today you would be meeting the rest of the team and starting your career as an Avenger.
"Nervous?" Clint asked, waiting for you on the main level of the compound.
"A little," you admitted with a small smile.
"They'll like you. And if not, they'll warm up to you," Clint chuckled, leading you to an elevator. "Also, don't let them push you around. You're welcome to throw shit right back at them."
You laughed, "I'll keep that in mind."
"It'll be great," Clint nodded, hitting the elevator button to the corresponding floor. Once the elevator doors opened, Clint then guided you down the hallway, "First we have a meeting, then you can get a tour around the facility, do some training, and then we're set for another meeting I believe. After that, you're done for today."
"Easy enough," you commented, following him into a meeting room.
Natasha offered you a smile before Clint walked towards her, sitting in the seat next to her. You followed suit since they were the only people you knew here, sitting next to Clint waiting for the others to join.
"Everyone here? I don't know. Let's get started," Tony stated while entering the meeting room and pulling up a screen in the center of the screen, "We've just been sent this intel. Hydra is working on rebuilding. They have been recruiting, and unfortunately, they are successful."
"Do we know where they're doing this?" Natasha inquired.
"We have a few locations pinned," Tony moved the screen to show a map. "They're spreading out."
"We took down their last major base. They're going to be more careful this time," Steve added.
"And who is this?" Tony stood across from you on the other side of the table.
"Y/N L/N," you answered.
"New recruit?" Tony nodded, "I didn't think you were starting until tomorrow. Well, welcome to the team. Moving on...we need to narrow down which of these recruiters are the most influential, find out what they are working on, and stop it."
"I'll look into Chicago, Dubai, and London," Natasha offered.
"I can try to narrow down where they're keeping most of their weapons," Bruce said.
"Good, all good," Tony nodded, "I'll take Paris, Seoul, and Moscow."
"Y/N can help me look into Toronto and San Fransico," Clint stated.
"Cap, you and Barnes study the recruiters and learn what you can about them. Their files are all in the database," Tony concluded. "Everyone else...you can help out where needed then. Dismissed for now."
"So, Y/N," Wanda smiled at you, "Welcome to the team. I'm Wanda."
"It's nice to meet you," you responded.
"Does this seem to be all you thought it would be?" Bucky questioned.
"It's her first hour," Clint spoke up.
"What can you do?" Bruce inquired.
"I think we should keep that a surprise for now," Natasha smirked. "Come on, Y/N, I'll show you around and then we can train before I give you back to Clint."
"I'll meet you in the training room," Clint concluded.
"Come on, Y/N," Natasha started to exit the meeting room.
"Why does it have to be a surprise?" Thor called out as you followed after Natasha.
After Natasha gave you a brief tour around the compound, she led you to the training room where Clint was waiting to join. You changed your clothing before setting up at the throwing area. Clint was in front of a target practicing his bow while you picked up knives to practice. You stood in front of a target with the outline of a person to throw the knives and not missing once in all of the important locations to severely injure or kill your opponent.
"Nice. What else do you use?" Natasha inquired.
"Firearms, create explosives, and swords," you shrugged.
"No bow?" Clint snickered.
"Never tried it," you smiled at him.
"Clint can give you lessons one day. Never know, you could be good at that too," Natasha nodded.
You threw several more knives to continue practice on your perfect aim. Natasha and Clint went ahead to leave to get started on investigating the Hydra locations. You would join them shortly after getting some strength training in. You were in front of a punching bag working out when someone hooked another punching bag next to yours.
"I don't believe I introduced myself properly."
You turned your head to see Captain America standing there with a small smile and holding his hand out.
You shook his hand as he spoke, "Steve Rogers."
"Y/N L/N," you shared.
"Do you think you'll be ready for your first mission when we go to take down those recruitment bases?" Steve said while hitting his punching bag.
"I'd like to be," you answered, "I don't know why I wouldn't be."
"I'll put a good word in for you," Steve winked.
"Thanks," you smiled sheepishly.
"Stark's throwing a party tomorrow night. Are you planning on attending?" Steve questioned.
"I didn't even know that was going on. Would I be invited?" you asked, glancing at him briefly before returning to hitting your bag.
"You're one of us now, you're invited to everything. But even if you weren't, I'd be more than happy for you to be my plus one," Steve said.
You smiled lightly, "Well, I suppose you can use that plus one for someone else then."
"I have no intention of doing so," Steve smiled over at you, "There's only one person I'd like to give that to."
"And let me guess, she's busy tomorrow night?" you inquired.
"Actually," Steve hit the punching bag off the hook, "She'll already be there."
You continued working on your hand-to-hand combat and strength for a bit longer next to Steve before changing back into your clothes to find Clint. Clint opened a file for you on a screen for the recruitment base in San Francisco for you to look over. Natasha was in the same room conducting her own research. While you were scanning the file, someone entered the room.
"Who has San Francisco? I need you to look for something for me."
"I have it," you spoke up, looking up to see who it was.
He smiled at you before walking over and pulling up a chair to sit next to you, "The name's Bucky."
"Y/N," you introduced yourself.
"I was looking over Gideon Malick's file and I have reason to believe he is leading the San Francisco recruitment. Could you pull up the photos for that base for me, Doll?" Bucky asked.
You felt your cheeks flare up by the nickname he had called you. But you refused to look at him as you attempted to maneuver the system. Bucky smiled at you, watching you try to figure it out.
"It's okay. I've been here for a year now and I'm awful with technology," Bucky offered. "Try that tab."
"That's because you're old," Clint chuckled.
"Which means I'm wiser than you," Bucky fired back.
"I'd pay to see that be proven," Clint snickered.
"Settle down, boys," Natasha said.
Bucky's attention was back on your screen as he moved his arm to rest on the back of your chair. You leaned forward slightly to avoid making contact with the attractive man seated next to you. You began showing Bucky the pictures in the file for San Francisco.
"Zoom in on that one," Bucky pointed at a picture. You did as instructed so he could get a better look. "Got him. Thanks, Doll."
"You're welcome," you said, slightly confused by what he was calling you before he exited the room.
You tried to focus on finding any useful information within the files on Hydra, but your mind continued to drift off to your handsome coworkers.
The next day there were no meetings. Tony, Steve, Bruce, and Clint were working on developing a plan for their mission to destroy what was left of Hydra. Today all you had to do was review debriefing reports from previous Hydra missions, train, and then show up to the party later that evening. The day seemed to go by too quickly as you found yourself back at your place trying to decide on an outfit to wear tonight.
You were thankful that Wanda agreed to wait for you on the main level of the compound so you didn't have to walk in alone. You were still learning your way around the compound since it had only been two days, but you've managed to only get lost a few times.
"Are you ready?" Wanda greeted you with a smile. "I'm sure the team will take turns introducing you to everyone possible so be sure to drink, then it won't be so bad."
"I might have to take your advice," you chuckled, following Wanda into the elevator.
"It's on the balcony so as it gets later it'll get cooler. I usually turn in at that point," Wanda shared, "But Stark thinks it's a brilliant idea to keep them out on the balcony so he has the opportunity to talk to women."
"Good to know he strategizes everything in his life," you commented, making Wanda laugh.
Upon entering the balcony, Wanda got called over. She promised to only be brief, so you went ahead toward the bar to get a drink. You barely made it to the bar when someone was walking beside you.
"Hey, Y/N," Steve grinned.
"Hi, Steve," you greeted before leaning against the bar.
"How was your second day, sweet cheeks?" Steve asked.
"What?" you questioned, not sure if you heard him correctly as your face began to heat up.
"How was your second day?" Steve repeated, smirking.
"It was fine," you concluded, turning to face him.
"I watched you today in the training room," Steve noted.
"You really just made yourself sound like a creeper," you snickered.
Steve rolled his eyes, "I was watching you train. I was not being creepy. You've got good aim."
"Thank you," you smiled.
"I look forward to seeing what you've got out in the world," Steve added.
"I assure you, you won't be disappointed," you responded.
"I'll hold you to that, sweet cheeks," Steve smirked, "What do you say we train together tomorrow? Maybe I could show you some useful things."
You smiled at him before ordering a drink, "I do have a name you know."
"What do you say, Y/N?" Steve emphasized your name.
"Sure," you nodded.
"What do you say we meet at eight? Should give us enough time before the meeting," Steve concluded.
"Sounds good."
"Just don't drink too much tonight," Steve smiled, "I'll see you around, Y/N."
"Bye, Steve," you said, picking up your drink and glancing around the room.
While you were walking around, making small conversation with those attending the party, someone seated on a couch waved you over. You offered a smile as you approached Bucky.
"Come have a seat, Doll," Bucky patted next to him, "You look lost."
"Is it that noticeable?" you chuckled, sitting beside him.
"No, I'm just messing with you," Bucky laughed. "I saw you talking to Steve, anything interesting?"
"He offered to train with me," you shared.
"What time?" Bucky questioned before taking a drink of his beer.
"Eight," you looked at him confused.
"Hopefully, he's not hitting on you, Doll," Bucky smirked, slightly.
"Steve? No," you shook your head, but you couldn't help the small smile creeping on your face.
"Good," Bucky winked.
The party felt fairly uneventful for you, however, you were able to meet quite a few people. As Wanda had said, once it got later into the night the colder the New York air became. You left the party around the same time she did to return to your home to prepare for tomorrow morning.
When you entered the training room the following day, Steve was already waiting for you.
"Good morning, sweet cheeks," Steve grinned.
"That's not my name," you stated, walking toward him.
"Good morning, Y/N," Steve corrected, his smile not wavering.
"Looks like you got a head start," you noticed.
"I hope I'm not too late."
You whipped around to find Bucky entering the training room.
"Good morning, Doll. You look fantastic," Bucky added.
"What are you doing here, Buck?" Steve questioned.
"Training. I usually come in the mornings, didn't you know?" Bucky walked closer.
"I didn't," Steve said.
"Funny," Bucky smiled at his friend.
You went ahead toward the target area to practice with your weapons to allow the two men to talk.
"What are you really doing here?" Steve whispered.
"Isn't it obvious? Y/N is here," Bucky responded.
"You like them?" Steve questioned.
"What? Is something wrong with that? They're cute and smart," Bucky shrugged, "Why wouldn't I want to get to know them more?"
"Because I like them," Steve hissed.
"Ah," Bucky smirked. "I guess we have a problem."
"Are you guys just going to gossip or do you plan on joining me?" you asked, gaining both of their attentions.
"Let the best man win," Bucky winked before heading towards you.

Meet The Parents | Loki Laufeyson
Loki had invited you to Asgard. To say he was nervous about it would be an understatement. He knew that this was an opportunity for his parents to meet you. They had to like you, a Midgardian. If they didn't, Loki didn't know what to do. Thor already liked you, so Thor assured Loki that mother would too. Loki never cared for Odin, so Loki would disregard him more than likely, even if he despised you. But none of this put him at ease.
Frigga informed Loki that a ball would be held that evening as a welcoming event. Loki had never presented a partner before to the people of Asgard, let alone his parents, so this occasion was one to celebrate. Unlike Loki, you were excited about the ball. Frigga was taking care of the gown you would wear and gathering a team of maids to help you prepare for it.
Loki was pacing outside as the two of you waited for Thor's arrival since he would be traveling back to Asgard with you. You tried to console Loki about the matter, but nothing seemed to be helping. Of course, you didn't understand the pressure and weight Loki experienced living in Thor's shadow, being adopted, and being different from the others, even you. Loki had disclosed some of his past to you, but you knew the god of mischief kept his secrets.
"Loki, if you continue to pace, your feet will not be well enough to dance with your lady," Thor grinned as he approached.
"My feet will be fine," Loki hissed, irritated.
"Alright," Thor nodded before gesturing you closer, "Are we ready?"
Loki turned to look at you before offering a hand to you. You smiled lightly before taking it. You squeezed his hand in an attempt to comfort him before standing near Thor before he lifted Mjölnir to the sky before lights surrounded the three of you. You looked around in awe as you moved through space until your feet were once again on the ground.
"Welcome to Asgard, Lady Y/N. I shall let you two enjoy your time here," Thor noted before stepping aside and swinging his hammer before flying toward the castle.
You looked at your boyfriend and smiled, "This is exciting."
"I'm glad you're excited about it, love. That makes one of us," Loki forced a weak smile.
You turned to face him completely, moving your hands to cup his face, a faint smile still on your face. "Loki, everything will be okay."
"You haven't met Odin yet," Loki argued.
"But we at least have each other," you pushed, "Isn't that all we need? One another?"
Finally, a soft smile stretched across his face. He reached a hand up to rest over yours before turning his face to press a kiss against the palm of your hand, "You always know how to cheer me up. But I know you're most excited for tonight."
"I've never been to a dance before, let alone a ball," you grinned.
"Do you even know how to dance, my love?" he inquired.
"I have an idea," you admitted sheepishly.
His grin spread wider, "Let's get to the castle. We should have time to practice before your preparations begin."
"I'd like that," you agreed.
Loki leaned down to give you a quick kiss before offering his arm. You wrapped your hand around it before the two of you started walking down the bridge connecting to Asgard. Guards waited for your arrival at the entrance of the castle.
"Prince Loki," one of them knelt before the two of you, "Your king awaits you."
Loki glanced at you nervously. You offered a soft smile and a subtle nod before the guard led you to the chambers where Odin waited upon his throne. Loki moved closer to you, wishing that he was back on Midgard with you. In fact, he'd rather be anywhere else with you than in front of Odin in Asgard.
"Your majesty," someone's voice boomed, causing all chattering to cease. "I present to you, your son, Prince Loki. And his companion, Lady Y/N."
The doors opened, and the guards kneeled once again. Loki took the lead. He started walking to the center of the room as you continued to hold onto his arm. Your nerves finally hit you when you spotted the king seated on his throne with the queen and Thor standing beside him. Thor smiled at you before giving a thumbs up.
When Loki stopped, you stopped. Loki bowed, so you followed his lead.
"Father," Loki greeted.
"Loki, my son," Odin smiled before his eyes moved to observe you. "And this is your Midgardian?"
Loki cleared his throat, "Yes. Father, this is Y/N L/N of Midgard."
"Your highness," you bowed again, unsure how to act around royalty since it was not something you were used to. When you stood up, you noticed the queen smiling at you softly next to Thor. Odin's expression didn't seem to change.
"Lady Y/N," Odin greeted you, "I look forward to meeting your acquaintance this evening."
"As do I," you smiled at him.
You were then dismissed, and you understood Loki's nerves now. Once the doors were closed, you turned to Loki.
"How was I?" you asked him nervously.
Loki smiled at you, reaching his fingers to rest underneath your chin, "My love, you were perfect. Come, I think we have some practicing to do."
Loki did his best to teach you how to dance to prepare you for the ball that evening. This involved you stepping on his toes several times, but Loki was patient with you. The two of you continued this until a servant called for you.
You looked at Loki nervously. He rested his hands on your face and looked at you gently, "You'll be safe, my love. I cannot wait to see you."
You nodded, "Okay, Loki."
The servant led you into a room where several maids were ready to tend to you. You were ushered into a chair as one of the maids began to brush through your hair. You weren't how women looked at Asgardian balls, but hopefully, you could somewhat fit in.
You weren't in the room for long before the door opened again, and the maids were curtsying. Panic soared through you at the sight of the queen.
She smiled at you, "No need to stand up, Y/N."
"Thank you, your majesty," you responded.
"You can call me Frigga," she said quietly, resting a hand on your shoulder. "Loki has never brought a girl home before."
Loki had told you before that he hadn't dated much before you. But you didn't know the full extent of his dating history.
"In fact, I can't recall a girl he'd even consider introducing to us," Frigga continued, "You must be special. Even Thor speaks highly of you."
"And I think highly of your sons," you told her.
Frigga was seated in a chair in the same room as her own personal team came to prepare her for the ball. You weren't expecting that, so you tried to contain your nerves. Frigga continued to carry on conversation here and there. She was trying to get a feel for the person Loki had brought home.
Once the team had finished your hair and makeup, they pulled out your dress. You found it gorgeous. You weren't sure how you would dance in it, let alone walk. They fitted you into a corset, another new experience that you could've gone your whole life without. Then they helped you into the dress, making sure you looked perfect. Thor warned you that all eyes would be on you tonight, not only because you were a foreigner but because you were being escorted by a prince. Thor did not have a date, so even more reason for eyes to be on you.
"Oh, my," Frigga smiled at you after she turned around from getting ready. You smiled bashfully at her. "You look beautiful. Loki will certainly think so."
"Thank you," you bowed your head at her, "You look stunning, your majesty."
"Lady Y/N," one of the servants spoke while adjusting the skirt of the dress while another went to get your shoes, "You will enter alone and meet Prince Loki inside. He'll be waiting for you."
You nodded before the maids helped you balance while another slid the short heels onto your feet. One of the servants escorted you to the ball before two guards opened the doors. You glanced at the servant who nodded at you before picking up your dress's skirt and entering the area. The doors shut behind you as you looked at the busy ball already in full swing. That's when your eyes landed on your boyfriend, standing at the bottom of the stairs with a grin plastered on his face. You couldn't help but smile at him before you slowly made your way toward him. Loki held a hand out for you. Once your hand met his, he pulled you close to him before resting his hands on your side.
"My love," Loki breathed, his eyes taking all of you in. And for once, it seemed as though the god was at a loss for words.
"Do I look okay?" you whispered.
"You look ravishing, my love," Loki managed to get out before smiling at you. "You should dress up more often."
"I don't have a team to help me back home," you chuckled.
"I can make arrangements," he teased before kissing you. His hands remained on your sides. His lips left yours and moved to your neck, earning a gasp from you. Your eye scanned the area, and that's when you noticed eyes were on the two of you.
You cleared your throat before speaking quietly, "People are staring, Loki."
Loki kept his lips against your neck as he spoke, causing a shiver to go down your spine, "Let them stare." He pressed another kiss against your neck before straightening up and offering his arm to you. "Shall we dance?"
You nodded, taking his arm. Loki led you out onto the dance floor, surrounded by couples, before he guided your arms to the proper spots. Loki would whisper the steps to you quietly if it seemed like you were getting flustered. He loved seeing you like this. He was nervous about coming, but he was somewhat glad that you were there now.
Loki and you spent the night dancing, stealing kisses, and smiling at one another. It was clear to everyone else that the god of mischief had found his match. No one could deny the love the two of you shared simply by looking at you. At some point in the night, Loki grabbed you by the waist and pulled you into his body.
"What do you say we leave this event?" Loki's lips brushed against yours as he spoke.
A smile stretched across your face, "Okay."
Loki grabbed your hand, no longer caring about traditions, as he laced your fingers together. He pulled you through the crowd ignoring the looks you were receiving. Loki told you that these events went throughout the whole night, so it would be seen as odd that one of the princes would be leaving early.
You're not sure how far you were from Loki's quarters, but it didn't seem that he could wait much longer. Loki pinned you against the wall causing you to gasp before a grin spread across your lips. Loki smashed his lips against yours as the two of you began to makeout in the corridor. Loki's hands started roaming over your body before his lips moved down to your neck again.
Your hands traveled to his hair, "Loki, let's get to your room."
He nodded before pressing another kiss against your lips, this one much softer than the others. He wrapped an arm around your waist as the two of you continued towards his quarters with smiles plastered on both of your faces.

Goddess of War -- Thor Odinson
Tumblr media
The Avenger's compound had just been destroyed by Thanos and his army. You looked around you in shock as you noticed your people returning that had been gone for many years. A small smile graced your face as you welcomed them back. That's when you sensed something.
"Carissa," you smiled at your friend and leader of your warriors, "Gather the warriors. We're going to Midgard."
"Midgard, my lady?" Carissa looked at you confused.
"I have a feeling," you looked at her.
"Since when do we help those on Midgard?" Carissa questioned.
"Do you dare to question me?" you looked at her, "Son of Odin is there."
"It makes sense now, my lady," Carissa smirked as she turned to walk away to gather the warriors of your realm.
"I don't want to hear it, Carissa," you couldn't help but smile as you held your hand out for your spear to appear.
"You always did have a soft spot for the God of Thunder," Carissa added before walking away.
You rolled your eyes as you moved to your realm's transportation means. A few minutes had passed before your warriors began marching towards you with Carissa in the lead. You stood tall in front of your army, waiting for them to approach before speaking.
"I do not know what we are going to. It may be nothing. But that chance is minimal, and I will not lie to you. I sense darkness and evil in Midgard. We must help them at all costs, no matter the threat. Are you prepared to fight, my warriors?" you spoke.
All of your warriors lifted their weapons into the air as they chanted. You smiled at them as you moved to activate your transportation method to Midgard.
"May fate be with you," you told them before going through the portal. Seconds passed before you flew from the sky and landed out on the ground of what appeared to be a battlefield. A circle formed around you from the impact of your fall.
"Who's that?" you heard a man ask behind you.
"Is she on our side?" another man asked.
You slowly stood up to see none other than Thanos and his army of aliens before you. You spotted bright orange circles with people walking through them out of the corner of your eyes.
"Y/N!" a familiar voice shouted your name as you turned around to face the God of Thunder.
"Thor," you smiled at him before approaching to hug him as your warriors began to land where you were only moments ago.
"What are you doing here?" Thor asked before looking behind you.
"Saving your ass once again," you smirked.
"Who are you?" a man in a red suit asked you.
"Y/N," you answered as you moved to stand next to Thor with your warriors standing in front of you.
"Goddess?" red suit asked.
"Goddess of War," you smirked.
"Perfect," red suit nodded.
"What's the goal?" you asked as more individuals walked through the orange rings.
"Defeat Thanos. He cannot get all of the infinity stones," Thor explained.
You turned to him, shocked, "Who let Thanos get those damn things?"
"Where have you been?" red suit asked.
"Apparently not keeping a close enough eye on you, Thor," you stated.
"I wouldn't mind spending more time with you, Lady Y/N," Thor smiled. "This will be fun. It's been a while since we've fought side by side."
"You two can catch up later," a man in a blue suit spoke before stepping forward.
You held your spear up as a shield appeared in your other hand. Your warriors before you hit their spears against the ground before getting into position. Others around you followed your lead as they shouted and got into their fighting stance.
"Avengers!" the man in blue shouted. Mjölnir then flew into his hand, surprising you for a moment. "Assemble."
Thor let out a shout as you gave your command to your warriors who ran in front of everyone else. You jumped into the air to land further into the pool of aliens. Your impact from landing was enough to cause many to stumble, and those near you were dead within seconds by your spear. You let out a cry that was strong enough to send aliens within a mile of you flying back before you charged toward another group of aliens, stabbing several of them at once with your weapon.
"Lady Y/N!" you heard Thor shout catching your attention. He threw Mjölnir so it would hit several aliens before it came to you. You smirked as you held a new weapon of his towards the sky feeling lightning  sore through your body before throwing the weapon back towards Thor, killing several aliens until it landed back in his hand. You raised your spear feeling the electricity through your body before you drove your spear into the ground. This resulted in the alients within miles of you being electricuted and falling.
"I've missed this!" Thor shouted as he moved closer towards you.
You kicked the dead aliens off your spear, "It's always a pleasure fighting with you. Is that new?"
"Yeah! Stormbreaker," he informed you while moving to stand back to back with you while fighting.
"I like it!" you shouted while shoving your hand into the alien's throat before ripping it out and blood to splatter against you.
"Cap! What do you want me to do with this damn thing?" someone shouted.
"Get those stones as far away as possible!" Cap ordered.
"No!" someone else yelled. "We need to get them back where they came from."
"No way to get them back. Thanos destroyed the quantum tunnel," red suit shared.
"Hold on. That wasn't our only time machine," the extremely large man said before shrinking down, and a horn went off.
"Are these your friends?" you shouted before looking back at Thor.
"Yeah! They're great! I always wanted you to meet them," Thor smiled.
You couldn't help but smile back at him. "Why didn't you have them go to Urðr for time traveling?"
"I didn't think about it!" Thor admitted.
Cap spoke up again, "Anyone see an ugly brown van out there?"
"Yes! But you're not going to like where it's parked!" another person shouted.
Thor jumped over to where some others were fighting to help out as you moved in another direction. You felt some electricity still left in your body so you jumped one more time before slamming your spear into the ground causing more aliens in the area to become electrocuted.
Suddenly you hear someone shouting, "I've got this! I've got this! Okay, I don't got this. Help, somebody help!"
"I've got you!" you shouted before leaping to where he was being ganged up on by aliens, easily wiping them out with your spear before helping the kid up.
"Hey Queens, heads up!" Cap shouted before throwing Mjölnir.
"Thanks! I'm Peter Parker!" the kid yelled before producing web to attach to Mjölnir and flying away.
You remained up on the mountain of rubble continuing to fight off aliens. But it seemed that no matter how many you killed, there were ten more coming. After a while, you watched in horror as Thanos put on the gauntlet with the infinity stones on. You moved that way, but someone beat you to it as she tried to force it off his hand. You jumped onto Thanos from behind using your spear to impale him in the back in effort to get him to drop it. Others joined in on the fight as they tried to remove the infinity stones from Thanos. The man in the red suit came over and helped remove the infinity stones as you held Thanos' arm in place. Once red suit rolled away and you noticed they were gone, you let go of Thanos as he believed he had one.
"Give them to me," you whispered, "I can handle them."
He looked at you before over at the sorcerer who nodded at him. Red suit gave them over to you as he watched you drop your spear as the infinity stones moved around your hands. Thanos snapped his finger before realizing that they were gone. Your eyes glowered golden as you began to float in the sky, bright light emitting around you.
"Lady Y/N!" Thor shouted as he witnessed it.
You continued to shine brighter as everyone watched you lift higher and higher into the sky. Your warriors who remained came around you and kneeled down in respect. You raised your hand with the infinity stones before instinctually snapping your fingers. A large force of your power escaped your body as you fell to the ground breathing heavily. Thor sprinted toward you before pulling you into his lap.
"Lady Y/N," Thor pushed some of your hair out of your face.
You smiled at him softly, "I just need a minute, Thor."
He chuckled before pressing his forehead against yours, "Don't scare me like that."
"You worry too much," you smirked tiredly before letting the infinity stones fall to the ground. You looked up and watched as the aliens turned into dust before eventually Thanos did as well. "We won?"
"We won," Cap walked up to you before holding a hand out, "Steve Rogers."
"Y/N," you shook his head as you sat up a bit more, Thor still supporting you.
"Where have you been this whole time? We could've used you on several occasions. Thor, why did you never invite her?" red suit went on.
Thor smiled slightly, but you knew the answer without him speaking. He didn't like to bring you into unnecessary warfare even though that was your specialty. You finally stood up with Thor following after you, your warriors standing as well.
"Warriors," you spoke while smiling at your army, "Another victory. You should be proud of yourself. Now go, find your fallen sisters and return them home, for they shall be properly honored for their bravery and sacrifice. It is an honor to fight among every one of you."
Your remaining warriors nodded before going to find their fallen people. Carissa stepped forward, "My lady."
"Are you alright, Carissa?" you inquired.
She nodded before smirking, "Remind me to never question your judgment again."
You let out a laugh before pulling her into a hug, "Never forget I am always right."
Carissa then whispered to you before glancing at Thor, "Perhaps you should stay back here for a bit."
"Why?" you asked.
She smiled at you, "You know why. I will make sure all arrangements are made and call for you when it is time to honor your warriors."
You nodded and patted her shoulder, "Fine."
"You deserve it," she winked before moving on to lead the army home.
The sorcerer approached you and shook your hand, "Steven Strange. I was hoping you'd show up."
"Let me guess, you can see into the future?" you smirked a little.
"Are you telling me she was our 1 in 14 million chance of winning and didn't care to tell any of us so we could get her here?" red suit questioned.
Strange shrugged, "Then it wouldn't have worked. Goddess of War is stubborn from what I've heard."
"What you've heard is right," Thor chuckled before looking down at you, "How long are you planning on staying on Midgard?"
You turned to face him with a small smile, "I heard Asgard relocated here. I would love to see it."
Thor nodded, "Of course, Lady Y/N."
"Hi, I just wanted to say thank you again," Peter smiled at you.
You returned his smile, "No problem."
"Wow, you're really pretty. You're a goddess?" Peter said breathlessly.
You nodded, "Yes, I am."
Thor wrapped an arm around you, "If you will excuse us, we'll get going."
Thor said goodbye to his friends before using Stormbreaker to travel to where Asgard was now habiting. But instead, he stopped by a body of water in a clearing. You looked around confused.
"I'll take you to Asgard next, don't you worry, Lady Y/N," Thor chuckled.
"As long as you're not out here to kill me," you smiled up at him.
"I couldn't even if I wanted to," Thor rested his hands on your hips, causing all of your breath to leave your body.
"Damn right," you smirked.
"I've missed you, Y/N," Thor admitted. "It's been long years without you. I know you say that we are not meant for one another, but I say otherwise. There is no one I have met in all of the realms that makes me feel the way that you do. I've tried to move on, but that only makes me crave you more."
Your smile grew as your rested your hands on either side of his face, "Forget what I said."
"What?" he asked, shocked.
You shook your head, "I was foolish and afraid of the possibility of love. But all of this time apart, and I long for you every morning, every night, and every day."
Thor leaned down to press his lips against yours. He wrapped his strong arms around your body to hold you close as your wrapped your arms around his neck to press your bodies closer together. You're not sure how long this went on for, but the two of you only pulled away when you had run out of air.
"I love you, Lady Y/N."
"I love you too, Thor," you said softly.
Thor walked you over closer to the edge of the land to look out into the water. Midgard was different from your realm and what you were used to. And you never had really been to Midgard before. Thor kept an arm wrapped around your waist.
"Why'd you show up today here on Midgard?" he inquired.
"I could sense you were in danger," you admitted.
Thor's smile grew, "You always had a sense for that."
"You always had a habit of seeking trouble," you countered.
"Y/N, I know that I cannot ask you to leave your people behind," Thor started. You smiled sadly at him. "I know you adore them way too much, and you are an excellent leader. I wish to make things work between us."
You nodded, "I'd like that. What are your plans now?"
"I had been invited to join the Guardians in space now that I've handed Asgard over," Thor admitted.
"The Guardians?" you raised your eyebrows, "Sounds like a new adventure."
"I won't go if you don't want me to."
"Thor, we always find our way back to one another no matter how many decades have passed," you rested a hand on his chest. "It's time that you start to live for yourself. I'm sorry to hear about Loki."
Thor tightened his grip on you at the mention of his brother's name, "I want to live a life with you, Y/N."
"Are you asking me to travel with you in space?" you questioned teasingly. Thor nodded. You exhaled, "It will pain me to leave my people behind, but I believe I know someone who will lead them greatly."
"You're agreeing to come with me?" Thor grinned. You nodded. Thor wrapped his arms around you before spinning you around in a circle. Once he set you down on your feet, he smashed his lips against yours again. You couldn't help but smile as your hands rested on each side of his face.
"Have I mentioned I love the new hair?" you smirked.
"I thought you would miss my long locks," he responded.
"I find you irresistibly handsome either way, love," you admitted before using your thumb to gently brush the scar by his eye, "This is new."
"Hela," Thor said.
"Yes," you nodded before sighing, "I apologize for now being able to help. I was tied up in another realm which isn't an excuse; I should've been there."
Thor gave you a quick kiss before shaking his head, "There is no need to apologize. You're busy."
"Not anymore," you smiled softly before a sensation filled your body. "I must return for the celebration and send off of my warriors."
"I want to come with," Thor said. "I love watching my queen in action."
You couldn't help but chuckle before your spear appeared. You hit the end of it against the ground before a symbol burned into the ground. Thor held onto you before you were lifted through the air and transported to your own realm. You conducted the ceremony for your warriors before pulling Carissa to the side.
"Well?" she asked.
You smiled at her, "I will be gone for an unknown amount of time."
"With Thor?" Carissa inquired.
You nodded, "Yes, with Thor. He has welcomed me on his next journey, and I'd like to join him."
"It's about damn time. I don't know how many centuries it's been of watching the two of you fawn over one another," Carissa smirked. "You deserve this, my lady. You have been a wonderful leader for our world."
"I know what I am asking for is a lot, but I am requesting that you take over watching my people," you tell her.
"Seriously?" Carissa asked shocked.
"I know it is a lot, and it is okay to deny me this," you added.
Carissa shook her head before smiling at you, "It'd be my honor, my lady."
"You can always call for me in times of trouble, Carissa. You have been my most loyal and trustworthy warrior, but most importantly, you've been my friend. I am forever in your debt," you stated before Carissa pulled you into a hug.
"Have fun with Thor," Carissa instructed, "I expect a wedding when you two return."
"I will make no promises of such things," you chuckled before joining Thor in another room.
Thor immediately wrapped his arms around your waist before leaning down to give you a quick kiss. "This will be an exciting chapter in our lives."
"Yes," you smiled at him. "It's about time we went on a journey together."
Thor leaned down to whisper in your ear as he held you close, "Perhaps we can actually start on that family we talked about before."
"Don't you think that would be moving too quickly?" you asked.
"Y/N, we are both 1,126 years old," Thor chuckled.
"You do have a point," you giggled as Thor went to kiss you again. "But not right away."
"Deal," Thor agreed before the two of you returned to Midgard to join the Guardians in their spaceship and on their mission.

Red Flags - Clint Barton - Part 3
You were enjoying yourself at the party and spent most of your time with Thor. You would catch Clint's eyes on you, but you would look away. You were focused on getting over Clint. You were trying to convince yourself that you were better off with Clint and that this was a blessing in disguise. But no matter how many times you told yourself this, you couldn't help but sneak peeks at Clint during the entire party.
But nothing in your life could be normal or at peace for long, because hell broke loose and Ultron escaped. Ultron now became the Avenger's number one target with the intention of destroying them.
You arrived at the jet ready to go to South Africa after learning about Strucker's death. You glanced at Clint while boarding, but ignored him for the jet ride. You sneaked onto the vessel with the team while Tony, Steve, and Thor spoke to Ultron trying to obtain information to help us defeat them. Natasha, Clint, and you were on high alert for the enchanted.
Ulysses Klaue had sent his henchmen to take care of everyone while Ultron and the enchanted began to fight with Steve, Tony, and Thor. Natasha and you knocked the henchmen unconscious easily. Clint had moved to start shooting arrows at the other henchmen with guns to stop them. Before you knew it, you weren't sure what was happening but your body slowly fell to the ground. You saw a vision of your worst nightmare before everything went black.
The next thing you knew, you heard a voice as arms wrapped around you. Clint's voice rang in your ears, "Come on, Y/N. Wake up."
"You get Natasha. I can get Y/N here," Thor said after waking up from his own hallucination. Clint hesitated because he didn't want to leave you. "Go."
Clint left you to go help Natasha, but he regretted that the moment he watched your unconscious body being carried out of the vessel by Thor. Once everyone was back on the jet and Tony detained Bruce, they took off. Clint took over flying the jet while everyone tried to recover from the loss.
As you were starting to come back from being unconscious, you could hear Agent Hill over the speakers. "The news is loving you guys. Nobody else is. There's been no official call for Banner's arrest, but it's in the air."
"The Stark Relief Foundation?" Tony asked.
"Already on the scene," Agent Hill confirmed, "How's the team?"
"Everyone's..." Tony stopped himself before looking around at the others, "We took a hit. We'll shake it off."
"Well, for now, I'd stay in stealth mode and stay away from here," Agent Hill stated.
"So run and hide?" Tony asked.
"Until we can find Ultron, I don't have a lot else to offer," Agent Hill said.
"Neither do we," Tony sighed.
You ended up losing consciousness once again. By the time you woke up, it was light outside and the jet was landing in a field. You stood up shakily before feeling an arm go around your waist to assist you. You look over to see it was Thor who had helped you.
"What the hell happened?" you asked.
"Enchanted messed with our minds," Thor told you.
"That was awful," you groaned.
Clint turned his head at the sound of your voice but regretted it the moment he saw you with Thor like that.
"Banner also destroyed a city," Thor added.
"Shit," you muttered before looking at Bruce who was asleep, "Why?"
"She got to him too," Thor shared, "We're going into hiding."
"That's not like us," you argued.
"We don't have much of a choice right now. We need to lay low," Tony spoke up.
Thor helped you walk out of the jet while Clint helped Natasha. Clint kept looking over at you feeling jealousy take over his body. After Thor helped you inside the house, you had a sudden healing and wanted to walk straight out of that house because standing there was none other than Laura herself. It took everything in you to not punch Laura, punch Clint, or walk out.
Clint walked up to Laura and hugged her before kissing her in front of everyone. That was the breaking point where you exited the house infuriated. You could Laura as you walked out, "Is she okay?"
"A lot has happened," Clint said as he watched you.
Thor silently followed after you. That infuriated Clint. But he couldn't let that show, not with Laura there.
"Is everything alright?" Thor inquired.
You turned around and forced a smile, "Yeah. My head still hurts."
Thor crossed his arms, "I know you had a falling out with Barton."
You shrugged, "That's in the past now."
"Doesn't seem that," Thor argued.
"Trust me, it definitely is."
"Okay," Thor nodded before looking into the sky. "I saw something in my dream and I need answers. I won't find them here."
"You're returning to Asgard?" you asked.
Thor nodded, "I'll return, Y/N. But I need to know."
"Good luck," you said softly before Thor swung his hammer and flew into the air. You huffed as you look around to see nothing but a farm building and land. You debated on trying to find a way away from there or if you were going to suck it up.
"Y/N," Natasha called out your name. You turned around to face her, "Could you be any more obvious?"
You rolled your eyes, "Sorry, I don't forgive and forget that easily."
"Nor should you," Natasha smiled, "We'll only be here for a few days until we can develop a plan on what to do next. Can you handle that?"
"I suppose," you nodded, "A few days shouldn't kill me."
"Try to be nice to her, she has no idea," Natasha whispered.
"I plan on ignoring her as I do Barton," you responded.
"Back to last names?" she inquired.
"At this rate, yes," you nodded before looking around, "What are we supposed to do around here until then?"
"Why don't you go shower and rest? That's what I'm planning to do. It's been a long day," Natasha suggested.
"Fine," you agreed before the two of you entered the house. Natasha showed you where one of the bathrooms was so you could bathe before she went to the second bathroom.
You managed to mostly avoid Clint and Laura altogether until Fury arrived and the team met up to develop a plan on how to defeat Ultron. And that leads you to where you are now, back in Sokovia. The Avengers were helping civilians evacuate as Tony went to find Ultron. It wasn't long until Ultron drones started to come after them and it was time to fight them off. You pulled out your machine gun and held it up as you started firing away at the drones causing several of them to explode while everyone else did their own thing to take them down. Suddenly while fighting, you noticed cracks forming in the ground as you looked around confused. People started screaming the city started to rise. You ran and quickly moved to jump, holding onto the side of the city the best you could as it continued to move.
"Y/N!" Clint shouted as he sprinted towards you. He slid to his knees and grabbed your arms to pull you fully onto the now separated city.
"Thanks," you breathed out.
The two of you sat on the ground for a couple of seconds looking into one another's eyes. Ultron speaking is what captured your attention again. The two of you scrambled back to your feet and started shooting at the drones once again.
"Cap, you've got incoming," Tony warned.
"Incoming already came," Steve groaned, "Stark, you worry about bringing the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job, tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt them back. You get killed, walk it off."
"What great advice," you muttered before reloading your gun.
"Just like old times, right?" Clint smiled over at you.
"We remember it differently," you walked away and started shooting at the robot drones.
Clint moved so your backs were against one another as both of you shot around one another taking out as many drones as you could. That was until Clint ran over to save the female enchanted. You moved closer to the building to cover them until they came out, but it had been a few minutes and you started to become worried as more drones were coming your way.
"Clint! Anytime now would be great!" you shouted before an arrow flew out from a small hole in the wall.
Clint had rejoined you. A few moments passed before the female enchanted joined you in taking out the drones until there were none left in the area you were in.
"All right, we're all clear here," Clint notified the others.
"We are not clear! We are very not clear!" Steve shouted.
"We're coming to you," you stated.
Something quickly flashed by us and picked up the female enchanted before sprinting off, "Keep up old man."
"Nobody would know," Clint held his bow out, "Nobody."
You reached out and pushed the bow down, "Come on, we have time for that later."
Clint started speaking in a mimicking voice, "The last time I saw him, an Ultron was sitting on him. Yeah, he'll be missed, that quick little bastard. I miss him already."
You chuckled which Clint felt proud about before the two of you picked up the pace towards where most of the fighting was taking place now. You helped take out those drones until there weren't any left. You then moved on to helping civilians into a building with some of the others.
"The next wave is going to hit any minute. What do you got, Stark?" Steve asked.
"Nothing great," Tony admitted, "Maybe a way to blow up the city. That'll keep it from impacting the surface if you guys can get it cleared."
"I asked for a solution, not an escape plan," Steve argued.
Tony continued, "Impact radius is getting bigger every second. We're going to have to make a choice."
"Cap, these people are going nowhere," Natasha said, "If Stark finds a way to blow this rock -"
Steve cut her off, "Not until everyone is safe."
"Everyone up here versus everyone down there? There's no math there," Natasha tried to reason.
"I'm not leaving this rock with one civilian on it," Steve stated.
"I didn't say we should leave," Natasha spoke which caught your attention. "There are worse ways to go. Where else am I going to get a view like this?"
"Glad you like the view, Romanoff. It's about to get better," you heard Fury's voice. Then you saw a helicarrier fly into view and a smile stretched across your face.
You stepped forward to join the others with Clint in tow as lifeboats came towards the city.
"This is SHIELD?" the male enchanted asked.
"This is what SHIELD is supposed to be," Steve stated.
"This is not so bad," he said.
"Let's load them up," Steve instructed.
You directed the civilians towards the lifeboats with your teammates. Every time you looked up, you saw Clint was already looking at you. You couldn't fight the small smile wanting to show on your face. You wanted to continue to be mad at him, but seeing him made that difficult.
"Rhodes, get the rest of the civilians on those lifeboats. Avengers, time to work for a living," Tony ordered."Romanoff? You and Banner better not be playing hide the zucchini."
"Relax, shellhead. Not all of us can fly," Natasha responded as you rode with her in the truck until you made it to the church where everyone else was.
"What's the plan?" you asked while approaching the team.
"This," Tony pointed at what was in the center of the destroyed church, "If Ultron gets a hand on the core, we lose."
"Is that the best you can do?!" Thor shouted as Ultron flew down in front of them.
Ultron raised his hand before all the drones came to where he was.
"You couldn't just keep your mouth shut?" you shook your head.
"This is the best I can do," Ultron raised his arms. "This is exactly what I wanted. All of you against all of me. How can you possibly hope to stop me?"
"Well, like the old man said...together," Tony responded before all of the drones charged at them. The team circled up to protect the core from Ultron as they started fighting the Ultron drones. You were starting to run out of ammo which wasn't good. This led you to pick up a pipe laying on the ground and use it to beat down the drones into pieces. You all kept doing this until Hulk punched Ultron off the city and the drones attempted to fly away.
"We got to move out. Even I can tell the air is getting thin," Steve stated. "You guys get to the boats. I'll sweep for stragglers and be right behind you."
"What about the core?" Clint asked.
"I'll protect it," the enchanted female said, "It's my job."
You nodded at her before moving to get into the back of a vehicle as Clint got in the driver's side while Natasha got in the passenger side. Clint then sped off towards the lifeboats. As they neared them, all of you could hear the Hulk's roar.
"We don't have a lot of time," Clint noted.
"So get your ass on a boat," Natasha said before running towards where Hulk was.
Clint got out before helping you jump over the car. The two of you stood there as Clint held onto your hand looking into your eyes. You moved your hand so it dropped to your side as you forced a small smile.
"I've missed you," Clint said.
"I don't think this is the best time to do this," you stated, "We're on a city in the sky."
"It's the perfect time to do this," Clint argued. "I don't want to lose you, Y/N."
"You'll never lose me, Clint," you told him.
"But I did and I never should have dated Laura," Clint shared. "I never wanted to hurt you. That was never my intention."
"You had to have known you would hurt me. Who does something like that?!" you argued.
"Apparently I do because I'm an idiot. I'm a complete idiot, Y/N!"
"I know that! Everyone probably knows that now!"
"But I did it because I was scared!" Clint admitted to you. "I was scared."
"Scared of what?"
"I was scared because I was falling in love with you!" Clint went on. "I didn't want to love you and risk losing you out here on the field! I'm always worried about you when we fight and I don't know what I'd do if I lost you. I hoped if I pushed you away and tried to replace you that I could forget everything! But I couldn't. I can't. I remember everything, Y/N, and I'm still falling in love with you."
You swallowed back your tears as you shook your head, "Clint, no."
"I love you!" he repeated.
"What about Laura?" you screamed.
"I don't want her! She's not you!" Clint fired back.
"You can't do that to her. You can't do that to us!" you said angrily.
"I know I fucked up!"
"You did more than just fuck up, Clint!" you huffed as you looked around the chaos surrounding the two of you. "I can't do this."
"Y/N, please!" Clint begged, grabbing your arms to stop you as you started to walk away. "I love you!"
"Stop saying that!" you shouted before Clint turned you around, used his hands to grab your face, and pressed his lips against yours. You couldn't help but kiss him back as tears started to fall from your eyes. You lifted your hands up slowly to rest on top of his before he pulled away and rested his forehead against yours.
"Y/N," he breathed out, "I love you."
You looked into his eyes before cracking, "I love you too. But we should get our asses on that boat now unless you plan on dying with me here."
He smiled at you before pressing another quick kiss. He grabbed your hand as the two of you moved to board the lifeboat together.
"What about Laura?" you asked.
"I'll talk to her when we get back," Clint promised.
"How do I know this time will be different?" you inquired.
Clint smiled at you, "Because you're officially my girlfriend this time, Y/N. I promise to never hurt you again like that."

Red Flags - Clint Barton | Part 2 |
Tumblr media
Shortly after that phone call with Clint, you decided it was time to pull your shit together. You weren't going to let Clint win on this one. Sure, he had played you and broke your heart. But you couldn't go on like this forever. You had a life to live and a job to do. So, you decided were you going to make Clint pay for what he had done to you.
You took your time getting ready that morning making sure everything looked perfect including your outfit, hair, and makeup. Natasha had texted you that morning that they were heading towards Sokovia after learning that one of Hydra's largest research bases was there. You were not going to miss out on that.
You held your head up high as you strutted into the facility after almost a month of hiding away. You flashed a smile at the team who were seated around the meeting table talking.
"Y/N!" Thor grinned before walking over to hug you. "It is so good to see you again."
"It's good to see you too, Thor," you returned the hug before walking over to sit next to Natasha who stood up to hug you before you sat down.
Natasha looked at you up and down before raising her eyebrows with a smirk, "I think I like where this is going to go."
You looked at them, "What have I missed?"
"Good to have you back," Steve smiled.
Tony pulled the screen up, "There's a Hydra research base in Sokovia. The plan is to take it down, capture any leaders in there, learn what they're hiding, you know...the normal stuff."
"Easy enough," you nodded.
"Once Barton and Banner get here, we'll get going," Tony concluded.
Natasha looked over at you, "Come on, let's go get what we need."
You agreed and followed her to the armory in the compound. You put a belt on and grabbed a handgun to put in your holster. You grabbed another one to put in your boot before putting a knife in your other boot.
"How is everything going?" Natasha asked.
"I'm okay," you lied before sighing, "I'm trying to be okay."
"I'm glad you're here," Natasha smiled softly. "What are you planning on doing when you see him?"
"Ignore him," you explained.
"He won't like that," Natasha shared. "He misses you."
"He screwed up," you responded.
"I know. And...I don't know how he could do that to you," Natasha sighed. "He doesn't know you're coming today."
"It's a mission, of course, I'd be here," you stated.
"Well he asked me this morning and I covered for you," Natasha put a handgun in her own holster as you were examining rifles and grenades.
"I assume he's still with her," you muttered.
"Yeah," Natasha sighed. "I wouldn't tell anyone if you happened to miss a shot, Y/N."
You chuckled as you turned to face her, "Let's kick some ass."
"That's my girl," Natasha smirked before the two of you headed towards the jet ready to leave when needed.
A smile spread across your face when you spotted Bruce pacing outside the jet loading area. He looked up and returned your smile before approaching the two of you. He pulled you into a tight embrace as you hugged him back.
"Y/N, thank god you're here," Bruce sighed.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world," you replied.
"Are you okay?" he asked as you two pulled away.
You nodded, "I will be once we take down this base."
Bruce smiled at you before the two of you entered the jet taking seats next to each other. Bruce was catching you up on his life when Clint decided to finally walk onto the jet. The two of you locked eyes and you hated the feeling he still gave you. You had to force yourself to look away from him and make yourself focus on Bruce. But it wasn't your lucky day because Clint thought it was a good idea to approach you.
"Y/N," Clint smiled at you.
"Yeah?" you responded, keeping your tone flat.
"How are you? I didn't think you were coming," he continued.
"I'm great. And I wouldn't miss work so I don't know why you thought that," you said while still not looking at him.
"Well, it's good to see you again. We'll have to catch up when this is all over," Clint said.
"Probably not," you responded before Clint walked over to Natasha.
He leaned over to speak to her in a hushed voice, "She won't even look at me."
"I can't blame her," Natasha replied.
"You're still on her side?" Clint asked.
"Yes," Natasha nodded, "I don't know how you can't see what you did wrong, Clint."
As the jet was heading off towards Sokovia, Steve went over the plan on how they were going to infiltrate and take down the Hydra base. Tony landed the jet on the outskirts of the Hydra base to try and surprise them.
You were standing at the end of the jet waiting for the back to open when Clint walked up beside you, "Nervous?"
"Never," you responded before walking forward as the back opened up.
Natasha and you sneaked around a few trees moving towards one of Hydra's tank trucks. You jumped into the truck catching their attention before grabbing the nearest Hydra soldier to slam their head against your knee. You threw them out of the truck as Natasha jumped on the opposite end of the truck, helping you take out the remainder of the Hydra soldiers.
"It's good to be back,"  you smiled at Natasha as she got in the driver's seat of the truck as Clint and Steve joined.
Tony flew ahead of the group as Banner transformed into the Hulk before following after. Thor swung his hammer before flying towards the Hydra base. And Natasha started driving the rest of them to try and keep up. You raised your rifle and started shooting at any Hydra soldiers without missing. Clint was on the other side with his bow. It wasn't long before the team emerged through the woods to where a majority of the Hydra soldiers were standing guard as more kept coming. Another tank truck drove up to try and shoot yours down, but you shot the soldier causing the truck to crash into a tree. Thor flew past you into one of the watchtowers to take out those soldiers.
"Like old times, huh?" Clint called out.
You didn't respond as you put your focus on killing any Hydra soldiers you could. Steve jumped out of the truck and took out one of the soldiers on a motorcycle before getting on it himself. Hulk ran out in front of the truck to knock out any soldiers blocking the path. Natasha shouted at the two of you to prepare to jump before the truck hit a ditch. Clint joined your side as you waited for Natasha to turn the truck before all three of you leaped out and started to fight on foot.
All of a sudden you hear Tony shout, "Shit!"
"Language!" Steve responded. "Jarvis, what's the view from upstairs?"
"The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield. Strucker's technology is well beyond any other Hydra base we've taken."
"Loki's scepter must be here. Strucker couldn't mount this defense without it. At long last," Thor stated.
"At long last is lasting a little long, boys," Natasha commented.
"I think we lost the element of surprise," Clint replied.
"Wait a second, is no one else going to deal with the fact that Cap just said 'language'?" Tony remarked.
"I know," Steve sighed, "Just slipped out."
You couldn't help but chuckle at that before throwing a grenade at one of the machine guns and watching it explode with the Hydra soldiers nearby. You pulled out your handgun and began to shoot at a few stragglers before you hear another voice you didn't recognize nearby. You turn around to watch before one of the machine guns sends a flare straight at Clint hitting him.
"Clint!" you shouted catching Natasha's attention too.
"We have an enhanced in the field," Steve reported.
"No shit!" you responded before shooting at the machine gun while Natasha ran towards Clint.
"Clint's hit!" Natasha informed them as she kneeled down next to Clint. "Somebody wants to help Y/N deal with that bunker?"
Hulk came running through and took out the entire thing while you continued to shoot at the soldiers, hitting all of them.
"Stark, we really need to get inside," Steve stated as you stood there observing Natasha and Clint.
"I'm closing in," Tony reported, "The drawbridge is down, people."
"Clint's hit pretty bad, guys. We're going to need evac," Natasha shared. Thor appeared as he carefully lifted up Clint to take him back to the jet. Natasha walked over to where you were standing, "You okay?"
You nodded, "Yeah. Will he be?"
"He should be fine," Natasha offered with a tight-lipped smile. "Let's take care of these bastards so we can check on him."
You agreed as you lifted up your guns and made sure that all of the Hydra soldiers out there were done fighting against you and submitted. Natasha reported to the team, "We're locked down out here."
"Then get to Banner. Time for a lullaby," Steve instructed.
"Go get him," you offered a smile at Natasha.
She returned it before going over to where Hulk was, "Go ahead towards the jet. We'll meet you."
You nodded before walking through the woods keeping your gun in hand until you reached the jet. You spotted Thor next to Clint on a gurney.
"Y/N, I'm glad you're here," Thor smiled at you.
You chuckled, "Why is that?"
"Where's the pain stuff?" Thor asked, trying to think of the correct terminology.
"Did you already get an IV in him?" you inquired before walking over to the medical station on the jet.
"No," Thor shook his head.
You sighed, "Clint, what's your pain level?"
"Just give me the damn morphine," he huffed.
You pulled gloves on before grabbing a bag of morphine and other supplies before walking over to Clint. You grabbed his arm before opening up the sterilizing pad while directing Thor to grab things to help clean out his wound until they landed. You grabbed hooked the morphine bag on the rolling hook before picking up the IV and holding Clint's arm.
"Ready? One...two...three," you said before putting the IV in. You moved to connect it with the bag of morphine so it could start pumping into Clint. "Does that feel alright?"
"Yeah," Clint nodded before looking over at you, "Thank you, Y/N."
Thor returned and you cut away more of his shirt that wasn't sticking to the burn on his side. The others arrived on the jet as you were pouring alcohol on the wound to help prevent infection. Tony got in the pilot seat before taking off. Bruce went and put his headphones on to help soothe him. Natasha sat back and observed you working on Clint.
"How'd you get so good at that?" Steve inquired as he walked by to check on Clint.
"I wanted to be a nurse," you admitted, "But then shit happened and here I am."
"A nurse," Steve smiled at you.
"We all would've been something different if we had the choice," you looked at him while taking the gloves off. "Like if you weren't frozen, you probably wouldn't be here. If Tony wasn't taken by terrorists, he probably wouldn't have become Iron Man. And if I hadn't been through what I have been, I wouldn't have become a hitman turned Avenger."
"Noted," Steve nodded before starting to walk away, "If I need help, I request Y/N to be the one to work on me."
You rolled your eyes before checking Clint's pulse and the bag of morphine, "Do you need anything else?"
Clint shook his head, "No."
"Then rest," you offered.
"Hey Banner, Dr. Cho is on her way in from Seoul. Is it okay if she sets up in your lab?" Tony asked.
"Yeah, she knows her way around," Bruce nodded.
"Thanks!" Tony responded before speaking to Jarvis, "Tell her to set up everything. Barton's going to need the full treatment."
You moved to walk away from the gurney, but Clint reached out to grab your wrist. You sighed and pulled your arm away before walking over to sit down, not wanting to be near Clint anymore.
Once the jet landed, Dr. Cho's team came in to take Clint in for treatment and Natasha went with them. Bruce tried to talk you into staying, but you returned to your own apartment. Tony made you promise that you'd be at the celebration party in a few days, he stated you needed it. And maybe he was right.
Natasha came over to your apartment that afternoon as a means to make sure you were going to the party. But you were planning on attending since it was an excuse to drink and talk to new people to get your mind off of Clint. You pulled your dress on after finishing up your hair and makeup.
A car waited for you outside your apartment complex from the compound. It took both Natasha and you back to the compound for the party.
"She's not supposed to be here, is she?" you asked Natasha as you got into the elevator to go to the top floor.
Natasha looked over at you, "No. He has been asking for you."
"I don't know why?" you said before exiting the elevator to descend down the stairs into the balcony where the party was being held.
"Looks like he's already spotted you," Natasha stated.
"This is going to be a long night," you commented as the two of you stood at the bottom of the stairs, "I need a drink."
"Is it okay if I go check in on Banner?" Natasha asked.
You smiled at her, "Of course. I'll catch up with you two in a bit."
"Thanks," Natasha smiled before walking away as you headed towards the bar.
You leaned across the bar and ordered a drink when someone came up next to you and said, "Make that two of them."
You didn't even have to look to see who it was, "What do you want?"
"To thank you properly," Clint said.
"No need to thank me. We're a team, it's what we do," you looked over at him.
"But you didn't have to," Clint went on. "Where did you go afterward anyway?"
"Home," you answered.
Clint sighed, "Look Y/N, I'm sorry things ended the way they did."
"It's probably better this way," you stated, "We can focus on work more."
Clint turned to face you fully, "I don't agree with that."
"Well you've already made your choice," you grabbed your drink.
"That doesn't mean I don't miss you," Clint said, "You were one of my best friends, Y/N, because I screwed it all up."
"I don't know if I'm ready to resume to that just yet," you responded.
"How long do you think it'll take?" Clint asked.
"I..I don't know," you admitted honestly while staring down at the bar.
"Well, I hope it's not too long," Clint continued.
"We'll see," you nodded before excusing yourself to get out of that conversation and to get far from Clint. But Clint stood there watching you walk away wishing you would stay. He had been questioning his relationship with Laura ever since you found it. He would rather have you around even as a friend, over dating Laura. But he couldn't bring himself to admit he was wrong about it all. But he wished that he hadn't ruined what the two of you had because even if he didn't act like it, it was all real to him too.
Clint's blood boils watching you sitting closely to Thor laughing together. He didn't know how he was going to fix things between the two of you, but he knew he had to find a way to make it right.

RED FLAGS - PART ONE - CLINT BARTON
Tumblr media
You weren't sure what happened. It was all too fast. And most of it didn't seem real to you just yet. Some time has passed now and you weren't sure if you were ready to accept the reality of it all. But you knew you would have to eventually.
A month ago your world came crashing down. Everything that you thought was true, turned out to be lies. And now you were left with your own broken pieces trying to patch them all back together.
Clint and you had been together for a while at that point, at least you thought. You had a crush on him since you had met him and that eventually turned into the two of you flirting until Clint asked you out. Everything seemed to be perfect...until it wasn't.
"Hey, Y/N," Clint grinned upon entering the Avengers compound.
You were in the laboratory with Bruce working on something. Bruce had asked for your input or else the laboratory would be the last place you would be. Everyone was called to the compound regarding a mission related to Hydra, it was simply a matter of when the others arrived. Once everyone was there, you'd take off.
"You're late," you smiled over at him jokingly.
"Not everyone has super abilities to fly or run here unnaturally fast," Clint argued, a smile still on his face as he approached you.
"Obviously not since I don't have either of them," you retorted just as Clint wrapped his arms around your waist.
"Mhmm well you live a lot closer than I do," Clint defended.
"Excuses, excuses," you shook your head before Clint leaned down to kiss you quickly.
"Get a room," Bruce chuckled earning your attention once more.
"Sorry, Banner," you stepped away from Clint.
"I'll meet you on the jet," Clint promised before exiting the laboratory.
"How long has that been going on?" Bruce inquired once you joined his side again.
You turned around to watch Clint walk away before shrugging, "Maybe two months now."
"Are you two official or?" Bruce asked next.
That question always confused you and made your stomach drop. Despite the two of you acting like a couple, you said, "Not necessarily."
"Oh," Bruce looked over you concerned, but you brushed it off.
That's how things were for the two of you. Clint would openly show affection towards you around the others and often greeted you with some sort of affection whether it be a hug, kiss on the cheek, or simply a kiss. You were content. Clint would take you out multiple times a week or you would be spending time together at one of your homes. If no one asked, then it did appear that you two were a couple. You would bring up labels every now and then, but Clint avoided that conversation at all costs. That should've been your red flag. That should've been the moment you walked away.
Clint walked over to you holding two drinks in his hands. He smiled before offering to you, "Who let you out of the house looking like that?"
You couldn't help but smile as you took the drink out of his hand, "What? Do you not like it?"
"I love it," Clint stated before leaning down to whisper in your ear, "But I'll love taking it off later more."
You pushed him away, keeping your hand on his chest, "Watch it."
Clint chuckled, "What? Am I wrong?"
You rolled your eyes, "We'll see if you're on your best behavior."
"Ooh, I like this side of you, Y/N," Clint wrapped an arm around your waist. "I guess I better stick by your side so I'm on my best behavior."
"You're never on your best behavior," you laughed.
Clint shrugged before leaning down to give you a chaste kiss, "I have something motivating me to be tonight."
You've avoided the compound since it happened. You've been ignoring phone calls and text messages from the team. Natasha did break into your apartment at one time to check in on you and Bruce had banged on your apartment door for well over an hour but you refused to answer because you just wanted to be left alone in your misery.
You laid out on your bed unsure of what else you could have done to keep him. You knew it was wrong to still long for him, but you couldn't get him out of your head. As much as you tried to hate him, all of the good times kept showing up in your memories. But there was one horrid memory that you remembered the most. It continued to replay in your head torturing you. You knew you shouldn't think about it, you knew you should get over it. But what was between you and Clint was real to you, and that's all that matters.
You entered the compound ready to complete some training and look over a case Fury had suggested you look into. But you had stopped in your tracks when you noticed Clint there with the others, but he had an arm wrapped around a women's waist. A woman you didn't recognize. Bruce caught your eyes as you stood there wearily subtle shaking his head at you. But before you could try to sneak back out, Thor obliviously called you over.
"Lady Y/N! You must meet Clint's girlfriend," Thor waved you over.
Your heart sank at those words and you wanted to vomit. Your eyes were pricked with tears briefly before you forced a smile on your face as you walked over to the group.
Clint cleared his throat, "Y/N, this is Laura. Laura, this is one of my teammates, Y/N."
Teammate? you thought. Was that all you ever were? That was bullshit.
"It's nice to meet you. Sorry, I have to cut our meeting short but I have some work I need to get done," you politely said before starting to walk away from the group.
"Work? Can't it wait?" Thor asked, completely oblivious.
"It can't," you lied before exiting the room they were in and finding yourself a secluded meeting room that you could lock yourself in there. You rested your back against the now locked door as you closed your eyes and took several deep breaths but it wasn't calming you down. How could you be so foolish? And how did that even happen? Clint was just over at your apartment two days ago. Nothing seemed different. He was kissing you, he was touching you, he ordered your favorite takeout, and he stayed the night. So how did this even happen?
There was a knock on the door and you groaned quietly to yourself. "Classified!" you called out, hoping they would walk away. But of course, your day couldn't get any worse.
"Y/N, it's me," you heard Clint say.
"I'm busy," you lied, trying your hardest not to cry.
"Come on, you're never too busy for me," he said so confidently.
"I need to get this report done by noon today," you continued to lie.
"It'll only take a few minutes," he promised.
You rolled your eyes and against your better judgment, you yanked the door open to look at him with a cold look. You knew you'd have to face this eventually, but you weren't sure if now would be the best time. You were still coming to terms with your emotions and those were all over the place.
Clint had the audacity to step with a smile before shutting the door behind him. "What did you think of her?"
"I don't want to talk about her," you crossed your arms as you stared at him. "You can leave if that's all you want to talk about."
"Woah, Y/N, I thought we were cool," Clint looked at you confused.
"We're not cool. You know what, Clint. We're are far from fucking cool," you stated as you moved to walk to the other side of the room to avoid hitting him.
"Wait, what?" Clint asked, his voice rising a bit. "We're friends. You should be happy for me."
"Is that all we were? Just friends?" you shouted at him, slamming your hands against the table, "Because I'd never do the things we did with anyone else out there."
"Y/N," Clint sighed.
"What the fuck were we? Here I thought we were together and then you just show up with another woman?" you asked him, fighting back tears.
"We weren't together," Clint defended. "We weren't anything official."
"This was still a shitty thing to do to a supposed friend of yours," you called out. "How could you do this?"
"We weren't together!" Clint argued.
"Then what do you call what we were?" you whispered angrily.
"Friends with benefits?" Clint said hesitantly.
"Then you should've clarified that," you hissed, "You knew I had feelings for you."
"I thought with me avoiding labels you would get the hint," Clint argued.
"You're a dick," you moved to exit the meeting room, "And I hate you"
"Come on, Y/N. You don't mean that," Clint grabbed your wrist to stop you from leaving.
"I mean it. I never want to speak to you again," you tried to rip your hand from his grip, but he only tightened his hold on you. "Clint, let go."
"I want to talk about this like adults," Clint stated.
"How did you think I was going to react to you bringing a woman here when just two days you were in my bed?" you demanded.
Clint didn't respond to that. You tried to exit again, but Clint wasn't budging. So you opted to grab his arm and flip him over, slamming him to the ground causing him to release his grip on you.
"What did I do wrong? Did I ask for too much? Did I misunderstand it all? All I wanted was for you to want me," you choked out before strutting out of the meeting room leaving Clint on the ground. You sneaked out of the compound to return to your apartment where you haven't left since.
You hated thinking about that day. How could you be so wrong about Clint's feelings for you? How could the two of you not be together? How could all of it mean absolutely nothing to him? He told you he loved you, but that was a lie. He talked about a future with you, but now you knew he had zero intentions of it. He promised you the world, but he was just pulling words out of his ass. But you remembered everything, every last word. You remembered it all too well.
You barely even glanced over at your ringing phone seeing Clint's name light up on the screen. He had been trying to call you since that day. And that only made it all that much harder for you. Your temptation overtook you and you answered, regretting it almost immediately.
"Y/N?" Clint called out.
"What do you want?" you asked, pretending to be normal.
"Are you okay? You've been ignoring everyone," Clint said.
"I'm fine. I've been busy," you lied.
"You're a terrible liar."
"Why are you pretending to care?" you sighed.
"Because I do care about you, Y/N," Clint explained.
"You made it clear that you don't," you countered.
"Are you still upset about Laura?" Clint asked irritated.
"It doesn't matter," you said. "Did you need something?"
"Can I come over?"
"You can fuck off," you hung up on him before throwing your head back into the couch, regretting answering the call at all. But within the hour, he was calling you again. This time you ignored him. And you continued to ignore him. You despised Clint Barton and wanted nothing to do with him again. Which you knew was unrealistic. But you would avoid him until there was another threat to Earth, and even then you would avoid speaking to him at all costs. Everything to you was real and you couldn't understand how you got so lost in translation that you were left broken-hearted while he had her.
