I had to finish this book before I stepped out of the house for the rest of the night. This man is amazing!  In a noisy, competing world with voices everywhere telling him to lower his standards and put God last, he wouldn't!  I hope 2020 brings me the same courage and faith it brought @russellmnelson because it's so easy to forget God but so hard to truly remember Him. This piece of art sits in my living room, on my cell phone home screen, and I purchase it almost every time I buy a picture of Christ for someone. It's one of my favorites because it reminds me that God is not hovering over us all the time, but he is silently watching and sitting and waiting until we invite him over into our life. When times were hard, I would look at this picture and it would bring me peace because it reminded me that a powerful creator does not have to force his ways or opinions into my life. Instead he sits patiently waiting for me to learn from my mistakes, and then he comes when I'm ready to invite him into my home and my heart.  If I could write a song about this painting, I would!
