Will BET’S ‘The Game’ Bring Back Derwin And Melanie?

I remember when I use to get excited about BET’s # 1 show “The Game.”

 Now that I think about it, those excitement days were when The Game aired on the CW Network.

 Well, it’s a new day and a new season for The Game and the ratings are looking kind of… LOW!

 Last week’s 2-part premiere drew 2.5 million viewers, a 58% drop from last season’s season opener, which attracted 5.3 million viewers, reports NewzzCafe.

NewzzCafe also reports that the drop in ratings is 71% below their 2011 launch on BET, which drew a record-setting 7.7 million viewers.

 Many are saying the drop in viewing numbers is because fans want DERWIN and MELANIE back on the show. Will BET bring back DERWIN and MELANIE?

 Mara Brock Akil (Creator and executive producer) says losing “the hearts of the show”, posed a tough challenge.

 BET executives are still smiling at the fact that “The Game” is “the #1 returning sitcom telecast on cable.” Hmmmmm… But for how long? Are you still watching?
