A1022772 Soca is At Risk for New Hope Only #BEHAVIOR 😰 . KNOWN HISTORY: Neutered, Owner surrender Behavior towards strangers is #Friendly. Previously lived with Adults. Soca had #Exposure to an 8year old child with whom he was #relaxed and #respectful😊. Behavior toward dogs and cats is unknown. FG/RG: Growl, snap over food and treats😨. Bite history: Yes, Soca #bit another dog on the leg (no broken skin) then when owner got home, she attempted to put Soca back into his carrier and he escaped, when the owner when to grab him to put him back in, Soca bit her hand resulting in puncture wounds needing medical care😫. He is house trained. Described as #Friendly, #affectionate, #playful, #confident, and #excitable with a #high activity level. Other notes: Soca will growl and snap when trying to bathe him or trim his nails😰. SAFER ASSESSMENT: Soca has been #difficult to remove from and return to the kennel. Soca has #allowed SOME handling in the care center but he is #tense and #avoids interaction with his new caretakers😰. He watches and tracks the humans around him carefully at all times. Legend is a 3 year old, adorable boy, who was found as a stray on someone's door step. We thought Legend was so unique looking, we decided to have him DNA tested to find out what breed he is --- it turns out he is an American Bulldog / Boxer mix! He's a big boy, with extra long legs and a big personality! Legend is friendly with people, playful with toys, and loves attention from people. He displayed no issues with people near his food during our evaluation, and even enjoyed handling. Legend is a strong boy though, so we are recommending him for a home with kids 17 and up. He seems uncomfortable around other dogs presently, so he may just prefer to be the only dog in his home. We really have a little bit of a secret crush on this guy. Turns out to be a German Shepherd and a Husky. Taken to the South LA Shelter. Both are listed as best buddies, will be held in the same kennel. These dogs did not want to leave each others side, they are super close. We do not know if they have the same owners or just found each other and stuck together😔 Please share to reunite.
