I don't understand how somebody could stare a child in the face and then kill them. I lose more and more faith in the human race every single day. I couldn't imagine coming home one day to find out that my little brother was killed, and at school of all places. It sickens me even more that Americans feel the need to make a political statement amid this disaster. Yes, something needs to be done abo
ut both gun control and mental health services, but idiots bashing Obama over his speech and calling him an emotional fake is ridiculous. He is an American, just like the rest of us. An American who has children and can feel the fear and grief that is being experienced by not only the victims' loved ones, but by all of America. Today is not the day to be wrapped up in politics and whatever personal agendas you may all have. Today is the day to stop what you're doing and really reflect on what happened today, and to consider the course that humanity has been taking lately. We need to find reform of some sort. This is one massacre too many. Hell, the other five shootings THIS YEAR ALONE were five massacres too many. How many children have to die before we can put our politics aside and just do the right thing? We need to come together as human beings. Don't let this great country, and humanity as a whole, deteriorate into rubble.
