I've been in a bit of a reading rut recently.  I'm not sure if I can't commit (commitment issues... I've never had commitment issues... bahahaha) or if it comes down to time management.  I pick up a book and then have to divide my brain into other chores and tasks.  Life is busy, but as Jenn Sincero's book You're  A Bad Ass taught me:  you have all the time in the world.  You just have to stop making excuses and delegate it to the things you love. PS - If you need a pick me up and a self-confidence boost - hit that book up.

Current read:  The Home Place:  Memoirs of a Colored Man's Love Affair With Nature by J. Drew Lanham.   Almost a year ago, I traveled about an hour and a half to see the author talk about this love affair he has with nature.  He's pretty darn amazing.  The kind of amazing that you would want to adopt as a sibling to replace that sibling you don't like. 

I'm 21% in and I adore it just as I knew I would.

It was my last day at the CVC East conference.  I’d been been stuffing my brain all weekend with new ideas about low stress handling, compassionate euthanasia, hospice and pain management.  I used my lunch tickets to purchase some chicken stir-fry from the cafeteria at the conference and then headed outside to soak up some warm sunshine.
