I think when it comes to Asexuality a lot of people don’t realize that for aces who wish to be in romantic relationships or sexual relationships with their future partner is the actual fear of telling that person that they are asexual because most people already think that asexuality isn’t a thing and that it just doesn’t exist or that it’s something that’s attention seeking or “ childish “ or just simply the same thing as abstinence which I know for me as someone who wants in a romantic relationship with someone one day I’m scared of telling my future partner that I’m asexual because what if i don’t actually feel what I think I feel and what if I’m just pretending to be romantically interested in this person I don’t want to hurt them and definitely don’t want them to feel uncomfortable or to feel like they are giving up something that they want simply because I can’t give it to them I don’t ever want the person that I’m eventually going to be to feel like that they’re missing out on something simply “ sex is what makes us human “ but I also don’t want to put my self in a position where I’m uncomfortable either being asexual is scary and confusing and sometimes I wish I wasn’t asexual but here I ace and scared I wish asexuality wasn’t so complicated
