A Walk Through the Wind

Modern!Venti × reader

Summary: Venti and their best friend have known each other since college. They've always been close, but feelings start to bloom as they start to get older. Will they confess to their new feelings... or let the moment pass them by?

[Name] was sitting at their desk in their room. They were studying for finals, but their mind kept wandering. They couldn't stop thinking about Venti. They couldn't get the thought of him out of their head.

Their phone vibrated, breaking them out of their thoughts. They looked down to see a text from Venti, asking them to meet up. They smiled, eager to get out of the room and meet up with him.

"Alright, I'm coming," they texted back.

[Name] got up from their desk and started to get ready to meet up with Venti. They took a look in their mirror, and fixed their hair and outfit. They wanted to look their best for Venti.

Once they were ready, they left their room and walked down the hallway. They could see Venti up ahead, waiting for them. They waved to him, and he waved back.

"Hey," Venti said, smiling. "You look great!"

"Thanks," [Name] replied. "So do you. Ready to go?"

Venti nodded, and the two friends started walking down the sidewalk. Venti looked around, taking in the atmosphere of the college. He could see students walking to class, and the sun shining through the clouds.

"The campus is really beautiful this time of year," he said to [Name]. "The flowers are starting to bloom, and the weather is perfect."

[Name] looked over at him, smiling. "Yeah, it really is. And it's nice being able to spend time with you. It's been a busy week."

[Name] and Venti kept walking, the walk to the cafe where they planned to meet becoming longer as the two talked. Venti mentioned his friends from high school, and the good times they had together. [Name] spoke about their classes, and how they were excited for winter break soon.

As they rounded a corner, they saw the cafe up ahead. Venti held the door open for [Name] as they walked inside.

"Ah, it smells good in here," Venti said, sniffing the air. "I'm pretty hungry."

The two friends sat down at a table in the cafe. The cafe was fairly empty, with only a couple of other patrons. Venti glanced over at [Name], noticing how good they looked. Their hair was perfect, their eyes sparkled, and they looked overall very attractive.

"So," Venti said, after a moment of silence. "How was your week? Did you have any fun plans?"

"It was alright," [Name] replied, trying to keep calm. "I had some exams, but I think I did pretty well. What about you?"

“I’m starting to write my songs and looking for inspiration. That’s why I wanted to see you” Venti smiled

"Oh, well I'm glad you wanted to see me. And it's great that you're writing songs! I know you're very talented, and I can't wait to hear the songs you make."

Venti took out his phone and scrolled through some notes. "[Name], could I ask you a favor? Would you mind giving me some feedback on some of my latest song lyrics?"

[Name] stared at Venti for a moment, their heart fluttering. Could this possibly turn romantic?

The two friends sat in silence as Venti showed [Name] the lyrics he had written, asking for their feedback. [Name] looked over the words, reading through them carefully. They were very beautifully written, the lyrics capturing the feelings of a person in love.

Venti looked at [Name], his eyes filled with hope that they would like what he had written.

"These are beautiful words," [Name] said, looking back at Venti. "They really capture the feeling of being in love, and I can tell you've put a lot of emotion into your writing."

"Thank you," Venti said, smiling at [Name]. "I'm glad you like them. I have been working hard on it, but I feel like something is still missing."

He looked back down at his phone, thinking for a moment. [Name] was quiet, looking over the lyrics again. They noticed the title of the song was "A Walk Through the Wind," and they felt their heart beating faster.

"Do you mind if I ask what inspired the lyrics?" [Name] questioned gently. "I feel like they come from personal experience."Venti looked at [Name], nodding. "They do, actually. I wrote them to express how I feel about you."

[Name] felt their face flush, as they looked down at the lyrics. They were so obviously romantic, and they couldn't really see how Venti didn't know that already.

"So..." they started to say, their voice wavering. "You... have romantic feelings for me?"

"Yes," Venti said, looking at them earnestly. "I've had them for a while, and I wanted to express that in my music."

[Name] sat in silence, thinking about what Venti had just told them. They felt like their heart was about to explode. They had thought Venti was attracted to them, but they never imagined he felt the same as they did. And to have their feelings reciprocated... it felt like a dream.

"I... feel the same," [Name] said quietly. "For a while now. I've been wanting to tell you, but I never found the right time."

Venti smiled, and reached across the table to grab [Name]'s hand

The two friends just sat there, holding hands and smiling at each other. It felt like time stood still, as the two of them were completely focused on each other.

"Can I ask you something?" Venti started to say.

"Of course, anything," [Name] replied, looking at Venti with a loving expression.

"Would you mind if I kiss you right now?" Venti asked, blushing.

[Name] nodded eagerly. "Yes, please do."

Venti leaned in, and the two shared a passionate kiss, surrounded by the smell of coffee and flowers.

So uhh, I was thinking about kid scaramouche like in modern au. so scaramouche and [name] are in same kindergarten૮₍˶ •. • ⑅₎ა ♡

It's was your first time in the kindergarten. you're nervous, but your mother says it's okay and don't worry, she told you that there is a very good teacher named 'Kusanali Nahida'

You hold your mother’s hand tightly and don’t let go, when you walked in, many eyes looked at you. ahh this is so awkward :(( you nervously enter the room and go straight to Nahida who introduced you to the other children, they were also here for the first time

"This is [name], They're a little nervous, so make friends with them~!" Nahida smiled at everyone and left you with the other children, you looked around and noticed that everyone was coming up to you, as if you were some kind of animal

they immediately became friends with you, you especially liked Kazuha, he is the kindest and most sympathetic here

and so 1 week passed. You’ve made friends with everyone and now you’re not old! but there is one boy... scaramouche. he always teases you by name and always takes your toys without asking!

this is already 6 times this week "ha, you're such a loser!" Scaramouche takes your toy from your hands! "give it to me!!" you yelled at him

You ran after him in a circle until you tripped and fell. Scaramouche immediately stopped, obviously I don’t know what to do with you. you start crying and your knee is bleeding...

Scaramouche stands and doesn’t know what to do and he comes up to you giving you your toy and goes to Nahida. Nahida helped you with your knee, and Scaramouche just chuckled "you're still a loser!" he laughed
