I’ve been taking a bit of a break from maintaining my internet presence to attempt to get my irl shit together. It’s worked magnificently...I’m back to my apprenticeship, producing more work than ever and actually selling some of it. Sorry for leaving you in the dark, lovelies...stay tuned over the next few weeks for some long overdue updates: art show news, craft/costuming projects, drawings and new tattoo work!

David Bowie: Color the Starman, aka the Baroness' first appearance as an illustrator in a print publication (well...aside from the 2006 Pacific Collegiate School yearbook and a couple CCA illustration program zines...but those hardly count, I wasn't even titled back then :3) You can obtain your own copy from Feral House's website (http://feralhouse.com/category/released/) or through your quirky local retailer of Consortium Books (And if you do, please consider sending me your colorful interpretations of plates #39 and #43-- I'd love to feature them on MetamorphicHorrorMachine!)
Side note: Coloring book enthusiasts: any interest in an all-Gin coloring book? If this sounds like fun to you, let me know you'd like a crack at my finest line drawings! Your interest and support really influence which projects I choose to pursue.
Since I can’t post the line art for obvious reasons, I figured I would post colored versions of both the released and un-released artwork: here’s my take on Moonage Daydream!
Stay sexy, space invaders <3

Two posters for the Cover Yourselves event at Cellar Door (because scheduling is hell...?)

...And my print-selling table. Not as successful as the first time around, but still tons of fun <3

A quick foray into a more cartoonish realm to promote my friends’ radio/podcast project, The Death of Comedy!
Featuring the writing and vocal talents of Michael Grady, plus some of my favorite townsfolk lending their acting skills to...well...rather colorful characters... :3
You can check out a few bite-sized sketches at The Death of Comedy Podbean page for now, and keep an eye out for appearances on our local radio station KPTZ...or watch this space for updated info! I can’t wait to see what’s next for them!

your sudden selected death left me adrift in a huge dark universe and somehow still fighting the weight of it now. even though it seems like it happened so far back, still lost in strange liquid galaxies sometimes when I least expect to be taken away.
all creation has a soundtrack tingle shiver and swell, and i think of you when i sing
when i draw
and the argus is practiced compassion
lying in fields of garlic and orchid, he closes an eye which closes another
and, i hear myself in it
it’s just an empty place, acres of longing
she’s just like the weather

Tattoo practice is still a thing. Limping towards my goals.
All done by me, on me. Definitely have a long ways to go, but still love them in all their wobbly glory.
Bottom photo: eye drawing on wrist (L) used as reference for hip tattoo (R) original by @bebefauve, glorious queen of my heart & generally rad human <3

Cake projects:
1. Good Luck cake: graham cracker cake layers with cream cheese irish cream-laced frosting and cereal marshmallow bits.
2-3. Rotary Club charity auction cake: vanilla bean buttermilk cake, strawberry filling, basil-infused buttercream. Topped with basil sugar, white chocolate covered strawberries.
4-5. 28th birthday cake: same flavors as above
6-7. Cake for an Elegant Victorian Dinner: chocolate genoise soaked in amaretto syrup, filled with black cherry preserves and iced with chocolate-almond swiss meringue buttercream.

Team uniforms (DIY) and display for The 3rd Annual Deviled Egg-Off (a deadly-serious competition.): Team Go-Go Tamago (no relation to anything to do with Big Hero 6, which I still haven't seen...I’m just a cage dancer that speaks a little Japanese) aka. Gin and Jason offered a tahini-miso-kewpie mayo flavored filling with fried garlic, green onion, tempura crumbles, nori and red pepper sprinkles, piped into whites sliced to look like pieces of maki. It was delicious, and our nyotaimori-themed display earned us the award for best presentation.

Goth Night’s coming back to my favorite-ever bar, Cellar Door!
...And guess who’s making their DJ-torial debut?
(I mean, who else would take a name that almost-but-doesn’t-quite-translate to “impure fruit bat”?)
That’s right, as well as being the official-ish goth night poster artist, I’m going to be spinning for the first time as Kōmori Nigori....might even try to live stream my set somehow, since most of my gothiest peeps are far, far away...

First project as one of The Boiler Room’s in-house poster artists: Boiler Prom 2016: We’ll Carrion Without You.
I’m planning to be there, if you should want to hobnob with yer local body horror artist around the theme of rotting flesh...just remember: no drugs, no booze, no jerks! Let’s empower some youth and build some community!

Album cover for Caudate.
(I love music-related projects, oh my goodness...this one was a long time brewing, but I’m happy with the result. And I highly recommend this EP-- brooding, esoteric, contemplative, atmospheric...great working music for me, anyway. Please go check it out and consider supporting the band with a purchase, or share with your friends.)
