IF IT BLEEDS wasn’t my favorite collection of stories, but it was a pretty OK read overall. The titular story featuring Holly Gibney was an easy standout and the best of the bunch, IMO. One of these days I’ll get around to reading the Bill Hodges trilogy, but there’s some great character development for her in this piece and I’m hopeful King will return to her again in the near-future. Recently got my signed copy of @jscalzi’s THE LAST EMPEROX, the final book in his Collapsing Empire trilogy from @torbooks @tordotcompub, from @subpress this weekend. Despite my mail carrier’s attempts to maul and destroy my signed/numbered limited edition of @toddkeisling’s latest novella, SCANLINES, it is finally mine! All it took was roughly five minutes of fighting with the mailbox because the carrier FUCKING FOLDED the cardboard mailer to get it to fit inside our tiny mailbox in our sub’s cluster. So goddamn annoying! But I can breathe easy because the book itself is perfect and still in mint condition. It a miracle! . I was fortunate enough to read an ARC of this a few weeks ago and posted my review in a couple spots.
