I use the app “Video Star” to make my edits. I think it’s a pretty solid editing app and not too overwhelming + good intros/ tutorials. It’s what I started with and I’ve always stuck with it :)

The app itself and all foundational features are free to use. VS is a good app in that you can mostly do a version of everything for free and there are SO MANY YouTube videos on different transitions/ text effects/ etc. to get you started/familiar. I also have learned some tricks. If you find yourself wondering about specific effects, let me know and I will do my best to answer or find you a good resource :)
