You won’t need to long press the icon of an opened Circle menu any more to navigate to the Brew/Craft view of the selected item. You can now also directly long press the icon to go there. Cause all taps matter!
Bug fixes
Resolved an issue with the bubble animation for brewing Potions. It will now be cancelled as soon as you navigate out of its view.
Resolved an issue where the bubble animation could stop you from brewing further Potions.

Performance improvements
We compressed all .png images used in Miimuus Medicus, resulting in ~5MB reduced file size. Furthermore we updated our core game engine, Phaser, to the latest version & also saved ~ 100kB there.
In total Miimuus Medicus will now perform even better than before with major optimization of file size, loading time & energy consumption.
Bug fixes
Resolved an issue, where the map content sometimes wasn’t rendered properly when starting a Jungle dungeon.
Resolved multiple issues with transitioning between Jungle & Cave dungeon maps.
Resolved an issue where Purple Shrooms sometimes were not set to the stock after Collection ended.

If you don’t have any Stock of given Material you’ll now find a long tap / press indicator animation on the Material icon. Long tapping / pressing it will directly navigate you to the Combine screen of that Material to craft it. Furthermore we also added this mechanic to the list of all applicable Potions for the Healing Illness detail state. Long tapping / pressing it will here directly navigate you to to Potion crafting screen. That way we’re now saving 7 navigation steps. A small improvement :)
Gamble with Magical Dust

You can now directly craft a random Potion Quality with Magical Dust. You’ll pay more Magical Dust if you return Quality 1 or 2 but will save enormous amounts if you get anything above Quality 3. Gamble if you feel lucky!

Designing the User Experience for Crafting in Miimuus Medicus

Miimuus Medicus is an adventure game set on a mysterious faraway island. As the Medicus of your tribe of fluffy little Miimuus you collect Material in randomly generated dungeons, craft mighty Potions & heal your sick tribe mates from dangerous Illness.
The Game Mechanic
The Player needs to collect Material in randomly generated dungeons. All Potions can be crafted by Combining 3 different base Materials. To generate a positive User Experience here, we enabled Disenchanting for individual Material.
We want to avoid high frustration for users who certainly have no desire to play 20 dungeons at a time, only to find the last still needed Material. (It might help to cling to the hope that the RNG gods have mercy, though.) Should there be Players, however, who want to do so, we won’t put any obstacles in their way to go on the prowl as often as they like.
Those who can't wait that long, have the opportunity to use the Disenchant feature. Raw Material can be disenchanted into Magical Dust. The Player will then be able to Combine the necessary, not yet found Materials from that.
Material Information
In Miimuus Medicus there are 3 different Material Rarity (R) types:
Common (60%)
Magical (30%)
Rare (10%)
Additionally each Material comes in 7 different Quality (Q) types starting at Quality 1 and peaking at Quality 7 at higher dungeon levels as the Player progresses.
Since linearity quickly leads to boredom for Players we use a small Diminishing Returns algorithm for Crafting in Miimuus Medicus. It increases the Cost of Combining new Material with progressing Quality and Rarity levels.
Numbers, please!
The Cost to Combine a Material of given Quality (Q) and Rarity (R):
Q * ( R * 3 - ( R - 1 ) ) - ( Q - 1 )
The Yield of Enchanting a Material of given Quality (Q) and Rarity (R):
Q * R
These two simple formulas generate the following output:

Results (actually quite techy)
The creation of the next Quality level always costs at least 1 Magical Dust less than the most favorable possible combination of Disenchanting lower Quality levels of that Material yields.
The Player gets rewarded for Combining the exactly needed Quality levels of a Material.
The Combination of a Quality X Material costs exactly as much Magical Dust as the Disenchanting of 2 (QX - 1) + 1 (Q1) Materials yields on the same Rarity level.
The user gets rewarded for Disenchanting higher Quality levels, without being disadvantaged at lower levels.
Additionally, it always costs exactly 1 Magical Dust more to Combine a Material than being recovered by Disenchanting 2 Materials of the same Quality and Rarity.
The Player always needs to Disenchant 3 Materials to Combine an equivalent Material from the resulting Magical Dust.
The benefit of the additional Magical Dust income increases exponentially.
Win Win Win, without disadvantages to User Experience.

Healing Miimuus
You can now heal Miimuus. There are always at least 5 Miimuus waiting for being healed. At the Miimuus detail section you can choose to heal a Miimuu by using a Purple Shroom, directly healing all illness, or to heal illness one by one using your crafted Potions. The Tutorial will guide you here the first time you enter that section of the game.

Once you come to enter a section or key functionality of Miimuus Medicus for the very first time a short Tutorial will show up explaining the key functionality of that section or giving some additional advice.
Read carefully, there is no option to reset the Tutorial progress for now.
Total Material count & Material Quality count

At every place a combined Quality value is shown a small icon now indicates, that this is a combined Quality value. (Stock values of all 7 different Quality levels)

Additionally, if you come to craft a Flask, all ingredient Material will now be displayed as total Material count and not as Quality 1 preselected anymore. You need to manually open the Quality circle menu for given Material to set its Quality.

Entering a Quality circle menu will now additionally display stock information of each Quality level. You can directly see the Quality levels of your collected Material.

We just added subtle apply animations to the ‘Start new dungeon’ screen. Furthermore you can now see how much time you’ll get to clear a dungeon and the chance to loot items in it. You can now also reset an option by tapping it, once you selected it.

Viewport handler
It might occur, that Miimuus Medicus is not yet supporting your device. We optimized it for the most common dp viewport, which is 640 by 360 dp. The other common viewports will be implemented shortly and included to the upcoming beta builds.

The Home screen
The home screen of the app is now implemented. You can directly access all three major game functionality: Collect, Heal and Craft. Healing and Crafting flasks as well as Info/About and Achievements is not yet enabled at this Beta build and need further improvement.

Collection, added bonus modifiers
On entering a new randomly generated dungeon from Collect, you now have the possibility to add some modifiers to the new dungeon. you can add more time and a better chance on successfully gathering material. Both will cost you a small amount of Fluffies (Coins). Both, costs and rewards will increase with dungeon and player level.

Crafting, select material quality
For crafting we added the quality selection for Craft material and Separate material. If you tap the selected material the quality selection circle pops up. You can now select the quality you want to set for this material.

Settings
With this build we also introduced Settings. You’re now able to set the ambient music and sound effect volume and change your active language for the app. On the initial boot of the app, it will check automatically for a preferred language setting and set that for the app. If this check fails, the app defaults to English. You can change your preferred language for Miimuus Medicus whenever you like.
