I hate Ragna (Ragna Crimson)

So, i've watched alot of anime in my time. Not too in depth, but more than just jump's catalog, you know? And God above never have I hated an MC more than Ragna. Like, even Kirito's or Meliodus (Sword Art and 7 deadly sins respectivly) dont fuck with me as much as this guy. Like, god dam YOUR NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS EVER SUFFERED ASSHOLE It's very mean of me to say that given his backstory is quite actually tragic, but this fucker literally get's a whole episode dedicated to someone telling him to "Stop acting like the hero of a story and pull your head out of your ass" and he STILL can't interalize that concept. Have ANY amount of the respect he *CLAIMS* to have for anyone! God, he pisses me off, to say nothing of anything else. God. Most insufferable bastard ever

God I love Ford, but his superiority complex is really something else. He’s said to have “the ego of a king and the insecurities of a circus freak”, and he looks down on nearly everyone else in his life, seeing himself as an unappreciated genius and lone hero. Ford’s overconfidence in his own genius leads him to make reckless decisions that endanger the lives of himself and others, and he can only understand other people through the lens of self-projection (for example, he can’t look at Dipper and Mabel without seeing himself and his own twin, and therefore assumes that they have the same type of relationship and that Dipper feels held back by his sister). Almost every decision Ford makes up until the end of the show is in his own self-interest, but he does learn and grow over the course of the show and its supplemental materials. Despite all of this, Ford loves his family and genuinely tries to connect with his niblings (more Dipper in the show, but he bonds with Mabel in supplemental materials) despite only having known them for a week or two. He even forgives his brother for accidentally pushing him through a portal that trapped him in an alternate dimension for 30 years, and he recognizes his brother’s heroism by the end of the show. Ford is such an incredibly complex character with some great and some terrible qualities, but I definitely think he fits the NPD diagnostic criteria, and it’s so refreshing to see a character with narcissistic traits who is still ultimately one of the heroes of their story.

People are always like "oh, look at him, I wanna 👀" ya know? But...sure, gag over people all you want, I gag over art. Not in a bad way, but like in a physical "wow, shove that art down my throat right now" kinda way. I'm writing a book and I have two reactions to seeing a picture that matches my character incredibly well and the choices are to either gag or throw up about it. Low-key into mithrun right now, saw a post of an animation with him in by @corgi-kogi and actually had that reaction, gagged. In a good way, 10/10 would do it again, I want to eat it. Does anyone else do this?
