This post isn’t really about Rogue, but seeing a lot of people comparing the romance in Rogue to that between Ten/Reinette, and it made me realize how little that romance actually plays into my enjoyment of Girl in the Fireplace, and how that might be an uncommon opinion??

Like I thought we all liked that episode because of the interesting, cleverly written plot with the ship and the windows through time, and the clockwork men being effective intriguing villains and the fun jokes and the tragic ending.

To me the Doctor and Pompadour’s actual “relationship” was fairly incedental, kinda low on my list of reasons to be invested in the proceedings.

Was that just me this whole time?
