Pour one out for systems whose native language doesn't have the vocabulary to communicate about systemhood as fluidly as in English.
Pour one out for non-English speaking systems who don't have access to as much information about plurality because most communities and blogs and resources are in English.
Pour one out for the systems coining terminology in their native tongues to explain their experiences.
Racism in the plural community is a real problem. Racism in the medical community is a real, dangerous problem.
Pour one out for DID/OSDD systems of color that go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed because the psychiatric institution dismisses them.
Pour one out for all systems of color who feel isolated because the online community often conflates plurality with whiteness.
Pour one out for systems of color who get called racist or appropriative because their systems incorporate aspects of their own culture, but people automatically assume they must be white.
Pour one out for systems of color whose voices are silenced because of their ethnicity.
Uplift non-white systems. Talk to non-white systems, not over them.

Plural culture is not knowing how to answer the question "how long have you known you're plural?"/"when did you figure out you were plural" cause apparently multiple headmate have figured out at different points and then went into panic mode and split a new headmate to take their place. Depending on what you mean the answer can range from 4-10 years.

Most people don’t understand how easy and common it is to develop psychotic symptoms or that everyone literally everyone has the capacity to experience psychosis
In fact if you’ve ever been sleep deprived including being able to sleep in shorter bursts but unable to get several REM cycles or you use substances to cause sedation rather than sleep you’ve likely experienced mild hallucinations already
They’re called disturbances. The things like thinking you heard someone call your name, feeling crawling sensation on your skin briefly, seeing things move in your peripheral but nothings there when you look.
(EDIT: I’d like to add that the sensation of bugs on or in your skin is so common it has its own name. It is known as “formication” It is also a common possible side effect of some medications, particularly when your body’s basic needs are neglected in conjunction with taking that medication)
This is (one of the reasons) why I really hate the “I’m [anxious/ADHD/depressed/etc.] not crazy!” The divide you draw between yourself and people with psychosis and psychotic symptoms only serves to harm. Not only those you alienate but also yourself. Because you have no guarantee that you will not join us one day.
We are all several nights of poor or no sleep and several bad things away from psychosis. It serves no one to be ignorant of it.

Speaking as a survivor of child sex abuse: the world would be a lot better if yall spent less time talking about the ways in which pedophiles should be punished and more time supporting survivors and preventing abuse
I get it, punishment can feel cathartic. I’ve certainly spent time imagining all the ways in which my own abuser might be punished. But ultimately, him dying, or being jailed, or publicly shamed, isn’t actually going to help me nor will it stop more kids from getting hurt in the future.
I don’t want more prisoners. I want free therapy with trauma informed counselors. I want better sex education for young children that teaches them about consent and body autonomy. And I want a society in which I can openly discuss my trauma, or at least as openly as yall discuss the evils of pedophiles

Elaborating on this:
A while back, one of our littles made a very personal post about our mother and our expression of disorganized attachment. Someone thought it would be acceptable to call our experience misinformation just because we claimed our mother didn't cause the brunt of our trauma (notice how we didn't say she didn't cause any of it).
Honestly, the way it was handled was disgusting and our little still suffers extreme fear of talking about his experiences. We stand by his original post, but we're all afraid to talk about the specifics of our experiences if it means people will fight us on the facts of our life and our emotions.
We considered abandoning this blog entirely, but we like having a space where we can talk about being a system - even if right now we're all too scared to do so.
I want us to have a positive experience here, to have a safe space where we can discuss how things affect us. I only wish people understood that some things are personal and not to be dissected, and not attempts to speak for a community.
There is a clear line between a friendly "hey, this thing that happened to you was fucked up" and the condescending way some people think it's acceptable to mansplain other people's trauma or supposed trauma to them.

You don’t remember what you do for a living. Literally. You black out for 8 hours 5 days a week and a paycheck appears once per month.

we dont really like the whole "parts of a whole or multiple people" thing. we're a system, we're alters. what more do you want? we're both and neither. it changes from alter to alter. its kind of dependant on the situation. but also we're dont fit into whatever this is. and i cant stand the idea that every system must pick one. we're a system and thats good enough.
