big fan of stories that, while undoubtedly being about the power of friendship, acknowledge that the power of incredible violence is just as important

the love was there. the love changed everything. the crowbar helped also

no because it's like he sees merry as a reflection of himself- broken and weak and a burden to be left behind when she's not useful anymore, but he also loves her more than he values his own life. and he thinks it's his fault he's unable to fix her. he played a part in her death because he wasn't good enough, yeah? and it's not like he doesn't know she's dying. he just can't move past it. he just loves her too much, is too guilty to let go. and he hates himself so, so much he'll create a reality where she's alive, and pretend that he'll be able to sail on her to safety. a lie he's willing to go down with. he told franky he was going back to the east blue with her but he always knew he wouldn't make it. but the delusion is sweeter than the truth.

and in the end all he needed to start moving past the denial and grief was to know that the ship loved him back, huh. that his amateurish efforts and clumsy acts of love weren't useless after all.

the fact that zokiku in any capacity isn’t more popular is a travesty. zoro is fascinated with her!!! she’s cute and good with swords. whether zoro has a little schoolboy crush on her, or he just admires her, or they mutually fancy each other or whatever, I’m so surprised there’s not more people out there exploring their dynamic.

Every time I see Nami use her Clima-Tact I go a little crazy bc Usopp made that!!!!! Her best friend Usopp who’s had no formal training made her a sick-ass weapon that creates LIGHTNING STORMS and TORNADOES and gives her the confidence and strength to fight and help people!!!
