once a year, i crawl from a cave to post art for a few days, collect the notes, and return to hibernation. but this year, it seems that tumblr is no longer a good platform to do this. all of the community and artists that i visit this site for are either leaving or becoming more active elsewhere.

id really like to become a more active artist - honing my own style and branching out to more specific communities are my two major goals. that includes creation of potentially ns//fw stuff, which apparently wont be possible on tumblr anymore. i’m going to try to focus any future efforts in this on my twitter. if pillowfort.io and mastodon become viable alternatives for artists, ill likely go there as well and try to cultivate a larger audience across multiple platforms.

If someone were to ask if you could design a tattoo for them (say a chest/ shoulder tattoo) would you design one? What if they asked about getting a tattoo of a pre-existing piece?

Hey there anon!Designing any art piece would fall under the realms of commissioning. While I would love the honor of designing a tattoo for someone, I currently am not able to take any commissions at the moment. My commissions page is currently under construction (I do not have the pricing up yet) but the Terms of Service and Process can be viewed for people interested in the future.As for pre-existing pieces, as long as the character is not one of my own (these will usually be tagged as Ferro or Self) or a character commissioned/designed by someone else, they are eligible for such a use.I greatly appreciate you asking first! Heya! I wanted to say thank you again for the wonderful job you did on my Fallen Exile character a while back. I'm still incredibly chuffed with it, and I wanted to let you know I think you draw Fallen absolutely brilliantly.

Established my basic idea for Turians without their armor. This design makes the important assumption that they have some control moving their body plates like they do with their mandibles. Also assumes that there is more phenotypic variation in the species than is shown in the game (mainly on the “spikiness” of each individual, thickness and number of body plates, etc) More on this later
