helloooo check in and little life update

im sorry for being so inactive here. hyperfixations come and go of course. ive been trying to keep up to date wioth my writings and such. i dont even know what productions or what casts we're on now haha. im def due a re watch. maybe something will spark up again!

im moving cities for university in july and im veeery excited. i hope it will give me some more time to indulge in my art. i miss drawing kitties :( recently ive just been back into tv dramas and my dead kpop hyperfixation that sparked back up in late 2023. hellish. i wouldnt with it upon anyone. but heyyy. i hope this blog can revive again someday.

to everyone ive made friends with or who have stuck on my other socials and stuff, thanks! i love and see you too :D i miss all of my friends here. you're all so wonderful. keep your heads up. im going to just keep updating my fanfiction for now and see where the winds take me.

hey ive been quite inactive for some time now, but hearing about the death of ken page is extremely devastating. i hope he can now rest in peace and his family are okay. his performance as old deuteronomy will always be very special to me and thousands of others. rest well, i hope we can carry on his legacy in light ❤️

Cats! But make it Chinese Opera! When I posted the initial exploration art of Tugger I had mainly referenced Peking Opera, but since then I think the style has grown to be a combination of multiple genres of opera haha

Since they are both sons of Old Deuteronomy, I wanted them to have elaborate costumes and roles that will stand out amongst the others! Tugger is playing the 武小生 (Wu Xiao Sheng) role and Munkustrap is playing the 长靠武生 (Chang Kao Wu Sheng) role. 武生 are martial characters and warriors, Munkustrap’s specific role is a high ranking warrior defined by using a polearm while Tugger plays a younger warrior. Although my explanation is short there are actually a lot more details regarding the difference in singing tone, costumes, and personality between each role! I’ve only started researching about this when i started this project so unfortunately I am still not very knowledgeable about Chinese Opera ><; but hopefully I get to learn more as I continue exploring with this project 🥰
