02-08-2015 // Some bedtime rewriting of some scratch notes I took from a textbook. Also, it’s my birthday in 4 days and I’m hopefully getting clothbound copies of a few of my favourite classic novels, so I’m excited! ☺️

3.4.15 - 14.46 // working on research papers always makes my study space a big mess, with pens and sticky notes scattered all over my desk and piles of books surrounding me. I’m a bit behind on my own schedule, but given that my professor has given the entire class an extension of one day, I think I’m going to be okay.

Simmons was my 12th grade english teacher and while he was frustrating as any teacher I had ever had, I did respect him. He challenged his students to think about what was being said instead of agreeing with whatever he described… plus I JUST BARELY scraped by with an A in that class second semester, so I guess that also helped. ;)

It also helped that he let me write my final essay on Fahrenheit 451 and The Great Gatsby, two of my favourite novels. It was a fantastic essay, if I do say so myself.
