The oldest shark the researchers found, a 502cm (16.5 feet)-long whopper, was estimated to be 392 years old. 

That makes it the oldest vertebrate known to science.

I think we all need to talk a little about the Greenland Shark

It’s the only shark to live in Arctic climates

It’s the third largest shark, coming in just behind the Great White

It can live for up to 200 years 

It’s flesh is poisonous

Nearly 80% are blind because of a parasite that scrapes away and eats their cornea, this parasite is also bioluminescent and gives them eyes that glow green in dark areas

They mainly swim at nearly 4,000 feet (1,200 m) below the surface and have been observed 7,200 ft (2,200 m)

Remains of polar bears, horses, and reindeer (once an entire reindeer) have been found in their stomachs
